The service was exceptional! We had a problem getting there on time. As a result we needed to call for someone to come check us in. It was 2 o'clock in the morning. The night watchman was kind enough to allow my husband and I to come in and wait in the lobby as it was cold and snowing outside. Due to the late hour I had woken the lady that came to our rescue. She was absolutely great! Checked us in, and was training the night watchman for future services at the same time. We came over for a celebration of life the following day and this lady took her time offering her condolences etc. And again in the morning when we had to check out. I'm sure we'll be staying here every time we travel to the Duncan area, as we already have a few times in the past. But this particular management...she knows how to treat people and gave us every courtesy considering I got her out of bed to come over in the middle of the night. The overall cleanliness of the room was also exceptional. Some places we've stayed have been... a bit scary to say the least.

For that particular stay, short as it was, everything was great. Couldn't have asked for better.

It was very convenient for the Swim Meet we were attending at the Duncan Aquatic Centre. It was close to eating establishments, and easy to find and exit. SO GLAD the Air Conditioning was really good !! Very Hot weekend, and coming back to the room was a big sigh of relief !!

Wish I had a bit more time to explore Duncan. It was a pretty intensive weekend at the pool, and all I really wanted to do once done the day was head to my room, have a both, and get a good night's sleep in a wonderfully cool room.

Really appreciated the laminate floors (no carpet), blackout curtains, and lack of intrusive chemical fragrance smells which so many cheaper motels overuse. Beds were medium-firm, which we like! Friendly check-in.

No tea bags or kettle. Hairdryer was not in intuitive place.

There was no breakfast, the location was excellent.

Inside trim could use a little white paint, & flooring could be updated , bed where comfy & clean. Staff very friendly.

Great place and my parents stayed at this hotel in the 1980'sand were so happy staying at the thunderbird I had to try it myself and totally agree. Very nice and couldn't be happier and trying to book another night for Monday night.

wasn't i didn't like but i thought i asked for lower level room because i had hard time climbing the stairs but i managed

location,,size of hotel building,,room/bathroom good size-clean and warm,,in house restaurant,,mostly friendly staff,, beds very comfortable,,lots of tv programmes,,

beds were not made each day,,hotel’s restaurant doesn’t serve breakfast,,male front desk clerk-not very helpful.

The location was very convenient to the Cowichan Secondary School, where I had wanted to go for meetings.

On the second day of my stay, there were some ants that appeared in the room.

The outside area could be tidied. Cigarette butts, empty food packets, lighters lying about so disappointing to see this.
