Great rooms and plenty of underground parking. Just remember to check in at the other lodge before parking at Palliser as it’s not directly next door (we went in off-season so the Palliser Lodge reception was closed)

The location of this hotel is beautiful, would be particularly perfect for skiing/snowboarding. Few minutes drive back into the town of Golden which is lovely to walk around. Fan was provided in the room which was appreciated as it was soooooo hot when we visited!

The entrance of the hotel was being refurbished when we arrived, but we didn't know to check in at the hotel down the road so it took a lot of faffing about to find out where we needed to go. I didn't receive any communications about this until after we had stayed as internet/signal is hit and miss - obviously no fault of the staff but just something worth mentioning!

The scenery and location was amazing! Nothing like waking up and enjoying the peace and quiet with all the beautiful scenery and a great cup of coffee. Bed was super comfortable and we had amazing sleeps! Tons of walking trails and mountain biking trails. Gondola is just a quick walk or drive away to go up the mountain. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The front desk didn’t give us the keypad code for room door with keycard (didn’t think it would have pin pad). Had to pack all of our luggage back down to our vehicle to go back to main lodge to get room code. No attendants at other lodges, only main lodge. Room was missing coffee mug (thankfully house keeping was on floor to give us another one). No air conditioning.

Stayed for 2 nights in Golden during amazing holiday touring British Columbia and Alberta en route to Lake Louise and Banff. Loved the drive down from the accommodation over the bridge and lovely views.of river and mountains. Rooms were comfortable, clean, and well equipped. Car parking - free underground car park with direct lift access to all floors was good.

Disappointed with the moutain view - our rooms were at the back of the property, and we did not have a clear view of the mountains. 4 people in the party but although located on the same floor rooms were opposite ends of corridor when we clearly had an adjoining room next to us as someone was trying the door!

Palliser lodge is a well maintained, modern lodge at the base of Kicking horse. Ski-in/ski-out with underground parking. Staying at the base is a lot more convenient than driving up from Golden every day (which we did on a previous trip). 1 bed apartment was spacious, nicely decorated and well equipped. Would recommend if you are looking for an apartment at the base of Kicking Horse.

Minor detail but the front desk wasn't manned most of the time we stayed there. Not really necessary I guess and there were contact details for the staff at the Glacier Lodge who were very helpful when we needed them.

Great location, self serviced apartments mostly, checkin in other building (glacier lodge) quick and professional thanks to a lady originally from Italy. Apartment is big, nice kitchen with all what you need, nice bathroom with tube and shower, bedroom with comfy and big beds. The location makes it, its perfect, better than staying down in The Valley/Golden.

Some other guests arriving at 1AM were pretty noisy, also using the pool which is closed at 10PM. Not the fault of the hotel, though.

Well no breakfast is included as it's an apartment with a full kitchen, you make your own meals which was great for us, exactly what we wanted.

We paid a resort fee but because it was between ski season and summer season all the amenities on the property were closed and not available to use, they were opening the day after we left so I felt we should have been refunded that fee. We paid for things they didn't have available for us to use.

Room was clean and cozy. It had a balcony with Mountain View’s (I’d assume if the smoke wasn’t so bad). Bed was massive and very comfortable.

We had to check in at a separate site which was initially frustrating but the staff were so friendly and accommodating. He allowed us to cancel a second night with little to no issue.

One of the best hotels I used in Canada. We had an apartment that unlike most apartments in Canada catered for a couple not for a football team that have a pack of dogs. It had a bedroom with a comfortable double bed, a living room and kitchen, all designed for the discerning traveller. Clean, enough storage space, kitchen has a good cooker, coffee machine, fridge freezer, microwave. Better value for money than most other hotels in Canada. Did not smell of dog like the other dog friendly places.

The bathroom would do with a nicer shower but all showers in Canada (even in 4 star hotels) seem to be ready made plastic boxes.Kitchen needs some more pots and pans. The frying pans were awful, dirty and bent.

Bed was great, as was the location

The heat was on in the room and it was 30+ outside... having the heat off and the fan on before we arrived would have helped us sleep better and all around manage the temperature control. Also, not being able to bring our incredibly expensive mountain bikes inside will prevent us from booking at this property again. We weren't riding on this occasion, but when we go to a mountain bike resort we expect to be able to store our bikes in the security of our room. We travel with drop sheets for dirt and socks for the handlebars to prevent marks on walls (which some properties provide upon arrival to ease the packing of their customers) so are always very careful to not damage anything. So, in the future, we won't be staying here unless there's a change to their bike policy.
