Nearly everything about the hotel was very nice to excellent. The highlight was definitely the location as you could walk to EVERYTHING. They had their own sports bar which was excellent as well as a steakhouse (we did not eat there) and a coffee shop next door, 30 seconds away. 50 other restaurants were within a 5 minute walk. The hotel was updated, trendy and well equipped with a commercial ice maker, kitchen area to store your food as well as a "lounge" and outside patio to relax.
The rooms are tight...at least for mountain bikers and the parking lot for the hotel has 10-12 spaces tops.

Great location, really friendly desk staff who could direct us to anything we asked about from specific bars to the street car. They kindly checked we had reservations for the hot springs we were going off next to visit- really great place to stay. Bonus kitchen facilities in the centre of the hotel, we didn’t use this but can see how useful that would be for travelling families on a budget. Photos of cottonwood falls, vegan charcuterie board at the witches children, fab music shop and the pitchfork for brunch. Thank you.
I would have liked the option of breakfast, but really, everything is in walking distance in Nelson.

View over the water but they're building something there just now. Comfortable, centrally located, close to shops, staff helpful. Good we were close to the kitchen area where we could make tea/coffee when we wanted.
I'm not quite sure why it is called the Adventure Hotel. The recommended breakfast cafe didn't look too easy with benches. We oldies need a proper chair. But we found some nice alternatives one street up for breakfast.

Nice view, nice room, nice coffee room with fridge. Interesting interior design. Quiet.
The mattress slips out under you if you sit up in bed. Such an easy fix, because it is on a wooden platform and only needs a little barrier screwed in at the foot end of the bed. Paper cups and plates in the coffee room. Should really be a no no theses days . There are 2 or 3 restaurants in the building, so enough dishwashers for sure. most guests would be happy to wash their cup right there in the coffee room.

This is our second stay at the adventure hotel. It's a fun bright place with good sized roms with funky fresh decor. Beds are comfy and washrooms bright and clean. It's a bit like a hybrid hostel/ hotel experience so great for families/ couples or singles travelling alone wanting to meet new friends. Great location, friendly staff, and commons room for making your meals is something we are seeing more of in new or renovated hotels like this. Think Fernie Fox, or Dorothy motel in Banff.
The mini-split AC is finicky to get it working properly, needs some instructions for the various settings. The larger 2-bed rooms are spacious and would be better if they had their own large bar fridge and microwave oven. At least there is ice on site in the commons area...

GREAT place to stay in Nelson! Right in downtown area, easy walk to nearby restaurants, etc. Sports pub in house has good food and spirits. Also has a steakhouse on premises. Older building that has been tastefully renovated; some rooms have shared bathroom, I upgraded to a room with its own. Friendly/efficient staff.
Parking can be a challenge, although there are dedicated parking spots for those staying at the hotel. No outlets near headboard; I use a CPAP and staff hunted up a power strip at no extra charge to meet my needs.

A lot ;-) We were here last year and we came back. I was reminded immediately by the friendly staff, the quaint hotel, up-to-date rooms (we liked the showers) big windows, excellent location, great food, dinners, pub, and coffee the next morning smiling faces all around.
I would’ve liked the bigger bed. Next time I’ll ask if there is one. The bed was a little soft. Everything else was great.

As usual, the hotel is always clean and incredibly comfortable. I love staying here and enjoy the restaurant that is attached as well.
I have always enjoyed the staff at the Adventure Hotel but this time you could see that possibly they're struggling with being short staffed like everyone else right now. The very young staff were constantly sitting in the office on their phones almost every single time I walked by. I get standing at a desk isn't the most fun BUT it is your job and the perception of watching staff, who btw were dressed in street clothes (crop top and super tight jeans), look annoyed at having to get up an answer your question is not he best. Again, I understand it's hard to find good staff right now but you may need to have a little chat with your staff about their role in hospitality and making guests feel welcome.

Loved this hotel just one block from Baker Street. Everything was very clean and we loved the funky decor and especially, the outdoor patio that was right across from our room. Nice kitchen with two fridges and a big toaster and microwave if you want to make your own food. Complimentary coffee was nice too!
It wasn't a problem for us but there is no elevator so if you have heavy luggage, it could be an issue. I'm sure someone could help you though :-)

The customer service was awesome. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The location was ideal for walking around Nelson. The coffee shop next door was delicious!
I am sensitive to fragranced cleaning products (room and bedding). I would recommend using fragrance free cleaning products. If you're not sensitive, it's probably fine.
