No breakfast provided which I knew ahead of time. Pays to read the descriptions when booking online. Staff did inform me upon check in that the restaurant literally right next door, provided guests with a 10% discount. Location was suitable for my purpose, and with a bus going to downtown Victoria it's an optional location for people wishing to visit the city but who did not bring or rent a vehicle. My room was an obvious renovation and was extremely clean. Everything worked. Desk was small but adequate for one person to work on their laptop etc, and for 2 people to eat meals, or to use tablets / phones. Room was spacious and had no dresser but a closet that seemed suitable enough. Bed was comfortable and linens clean.

Speaking as a reasonable person there was nothing I can think of, except the price which was high, but much less than the hotel across the road. Current market rates are very high.

Motel-6 offers a basic, clean, well-located and safe option for folks like me that need a one-night solution for getting to or from Victoria airport or Swartz Bay ferry terminal. The room was equipped with everything I needed and more, including microwave if I remember correctly. The room is a no frills basic room providing a comfortable bed and perfectly fine bathroom/shower. I appreciated the wood (not carpet) floor. Its just not a very fancy room and that was perfectly fine for my needs. You can even easily catch the bus, steps away, to Swartz Bay, Sidney, or downtown Victoria.

There was nothing I did not like. Although basic and no frills in decor & furniture, the room was equipped with everything I needed and more, including microwave if I remember correctly.

This location was PERFECT, as my husband and I needed a hotel close to the Victoria Airport when we were returning from a 3 week vacation abroad. The staff were very friendly and professional. We even advised via Booking.com of our very late arrival, and Motel 6 staff confirmed this was not a problem. Clean and quiet room, which we appreciated having had a long day, and late night sleep. THANK YOU ALL! Especially the late night lady that checked us in (I think her name was Santosh?).

room was great for our simple overnight needs! three comfy beds and two bathrooms, and friendly front desk staff.

limited staff, namely housekeeping, meant we were unable to check in at 4pm and we found that out at 445pm when we arrived for check in. we were told it'd be an hour wait and the plan arranged was the front desk would phone when the room was ready. i followed up myself by phone at 615pm and was told the room was ready. there were key access card troubles to the room and miscommunication with the motel 6 team on which room had gotten cleaned/ready for the five of us adults. the front desk gal was lovely throughout the interactions and obviously she was limited in what she could do to mitigate the troubles encountered. we were kindly refunded our upgraded room (for a third bed/second bathroom) due to the troubles, 18$ worth.

We liked the quiet location. The little fridge was amazing! It held so much. We appreciated being able to have our dog with us - and that he was welcomed. There were places around the motel to take him for little walks and if the weather had been better the "park" area would have been very enjoyable. Parking and access to the room were very easy. The office and room staff were very friendly and helpful. It was nice to the restaurant so close. And the restaurant was very receptive about helping us with ice when the motel ice machine wasn't working. We drove back and forth to Sidney three times a day and it was a very short easy drive. We were very busy so we didn't have the time we would have liked to explore the area. We hope to come back again.

Nothing that could have been helped: we would have preferred better weather! LOL

Never had breakfast but White Spot restaurant was close and convenient.

Had to extend my booking for one extra night. But no one noticed this. Think they thought I was “squatting” as they did not noticed the continued booking. It was 2 bookings but as I work in hotel hospitality also, I know there is usually a spot for admin remarks and this should have been noted there to ensure that the guest was not questioned. On the other hand, they were doing their job but I still felt somewhat uncomfortable in being question and explaining for the third time, why I was still there. Staffing was very polite and somewhat apologetic.

I liked the convenience to the ferry and the fact that it was close to some restaurants and a pub was a bonus. I liked the ease of checking in and the friendliness of Erwin, the night staff, who checked us in was very much appreciated. Shout out to Erwin! The room was very clean and the bed was nice and comfy. The coffee was hot and fresh.

The only negative was that being on the side facing the highway, you could hear the noise from the vehicles, but after awhile, you get used to it.

Wifi was free. They called us in the evening to make sure everything was fine and if we needed anything. Location to where we were going was great, just off the highway. The entire room was very clean. Sheets, towels, pillows were fresh and bed and pillows were very comfortable. We stayed three nights and I had no problem sleeping. Hardly any noise and our room was on the main floor by the stairs. I usually bring slippers for the room and shower when I travel and forgot them..but my black socks had no unwanted hair or dust and the shower was very clean. Also had lots of electrical outlets for charging devices.

No complaints.

Staff were very friendly. Room was basic but clean. Convenient to the things we were there for (wedding venues).

We had the smallest hotel room I have ever seen. It was very crowded for 2 people. I am not sure why we were given this room since that there were other adjacent rooms that were quite a bit bigger. Fortunately the weather was perfect so we did not need to be in the room much, but if it had been rainy there was really no place to sit etc.

The fact that we could put a cash deposit on the room, because when you don't have a credit card, it helps good people that just have hard times in life. So to know that there's a good person behind that desk trying to do whatever possible to get you into the hotel even though their policy says not to. Things need to be adjusted now a days. Help your neighbor let them know that help is right there if it's just to say hi, or good morning even makes a person's day. We just need more friendliness in the world not hate. So be more consider and do what you feel is right. Just like the beautiful ladies that worked the night my husband and I stayed there, oh sorry there was also a bit older man than served us after the 2 younger ladies went home. He was also very helpful. I would definitely recommend Hotel 6 to anyone, it's a clean, comfortable Cory hotel rooms. They are also pet friendly to. Thanks to the amazing staff at Motel 6 in Victoria BC Canada.
