Fridge, microwave, coffee maker all pleasant features. Bed comfortable.

TV didn't work most of the time. The remote was hard to use and didn't work well.

The hotel is near many bars and clubs, Granville island and market and plenty of buses. The staff were wonderful, kind and attentive. The rooftop kitchen, sauna and rooftop are really cool. We cooked breakfast and dinner and met some lovely people. The rooms also have a small fridge and coffee machine. The room is big enough and the beds comfortable.

Granville street has a lot of poverty and obvious drug use. Although we didn’t feel unsafe, it can be surprising and sad. The hotel needs a few renovations. The full kitchen could do with more forks, pans and toasters (1 small toaster wasn’t enough). Overall- small things for the price.

Incredibly impressive corner room with lots of light streaming in. The mattress was very firm the way I prefer. You can sense this older building has had many thoughtful upgrades with lots of attention to style and detail. Some mid-century modern foyer design, along with hallway carpeting that looks fresh with a tasteful diamond pattern in gold/navy. Interior room furnishings are updated and stylish, yet simple...on trend with minimalism vibe. Extremely efficient and well-appointed with space to maneuver. Superior bathroom lighting for putting on make-up. Smart laundry line in shower. Exceptional service from each staff member from front desk to maid service to TV maintenance for a simple fix. Absolutely LOVED the cafe White Spot attached to (but not affiliated with) the hotel. Excellent brussel sprouts, famous burger, perfect soups.

The bathroom flooring seems ready for an upgrade, replacing worn dated tile to match the darling midcentury vibe created elsewhere. The hotel has premium access to BC Stadium, but there are a couple streets you will want to avoid while exploring.

Location was good.

Room was little smaller than we expected. One king bed instead of two double beds would have been good. Electrical outlets next to our bed did not work so we had to use the other outlets to charge our devices. Initial staff when we checked in were not very friendly. We were given a room first which wasn’t very comfortable so we had to move to another room. One of the staff, Carles (I think) was great and made our stay more comfortable by attending to our needs. He was very kind and friendly. If not for him, our stay wouldn’t have been that good. He was the one who gave us a better room. Though we paid for breakfast when we booked the room the options were limited which was disappointing. We ended up eating breakfast only 2 out of the 5 days we were there.

Kitchenette was amazing - included a fridge, microwave, stove, sink, and dishes. The location was great - close to everything. Having a gym was handy.

Couldn't reach the front desk by phone - tried for over 45 min. Had to go down to see them in person after being on hold and being hung up on multiple times. When I did speak with the front desk team, they were great and took care of everything immediately. Unfortunately, we couldn't get an early check-in, but that's not their issue. We were just so tired after traveling for almost 18 hours, so having to wait another 2 hours was hard, and of course, it was raining - but they did have a place to wait and stored our luggage.

Look, we all know how expensive Vancouver has gotten, so you will not find a better deal than staying here in terms of cost and location. At >$300/night, is it a good deal? No, but it paradoxically is the best. The rooftop patio and communal kitchen up there were bonuses.

Between the absurdly-designed/malfunctioning machinery and the taste, it probably was the worst hotel coffee that I have ever had, but not a huge deal, as a free (good) coffee is just a bonus. It was cool to learn that there was a sauna and I am still happy that I went, but they are separated by gender and are not particularly hot.

I like the location where everyplace is connected. When i arrived a week earlier, I stayed at Robson St. and walked to Gastown and Vancouver Convention Centre. Then, I flew to Calgary and shuttled to Banff. Before returning to Singapore, i came back to Vancouver and stayed in this hotel. Although it wasn't a good location compared to my earlier stayed at Robson St., but it was great i was able to walk to Gastown and Convention Centre and Stanley Park and English Bay, all within walking distance.

The location is good but there are not many good restaurants and there were many times i saw people sleeping on the street.

Really nice lobby and friendly staff. Lived the rooftop Terrance and kitchen. Also loved the kitchenette in our efficiency room.

The room was clean but we had to shift the bed to look for something and it was dirty under the bed and there was broken glass. This isn't something that once would normally noticed and the room was clean in general. But it was just something we noticed. Also there some little details that showed the rooms were older. Hem in the curtain was combing undone and some paint in the bathroom was peeling. But in general the room was well taken care of and clean.

Pleasant welcome on arrival. Room was a decent size and a view from 11th floor. Enjoyed the use of the kitchen area on 12th floor, immaculate. Didn't use the steam room and the jacuzzi wasn't working. Handy to have the White Spot pub adjoining the hotel, ideal for a drink or bite to eat without having to go outside. Hotel was a 25 minute walk from the waterfront, Sea bus and cruise ships. Nearby is Granville Island and its market, we walked over the bridge and took the small boat back to Hornby Street. Lots of seats to sit and watch the world go by listening to a guy singing with a guitar.

Pillows were very lumpy, as if they had been in a washing machine. Toilet cistern condensation dropping onto the tiles so wet feet at night.. The aircon was so noisy, had to be switched off at night leaving just the noisy fridge. Hotel needs some updating, large gap under the door allows noise and bright corridor light to illuminate the room, too many led lights (tv, clock, alarm, fridge, microwave, something lit upon the ceiling), like being in a cockpit!
