Great location if you want peace and quiet and some nature. Nice staff. Nice, basic rooms. The kitchenette room is a great layout and includes everything you need.

Could use some patch ups and a new paint job. Rooms are very close together and not soundproof in the least.

Staff/owners were very accommodating and conscious of everyone's level of comfort with current COVID situations. The room was cozy and adjustable in heat and coolness.

There was no iron. I don't use them all the time, but this trip was for a wedding - which this Hotel is only 14 min from the Roma Club. It would have been great to use a steamer or iron. Not a lot of current information on what is available locally in terms of seeing, doing, eating. Also, there was no way to tell on their webpage when the pool opened, which was not in last week of June.

It was as expected for an old-style motel. If anything it was a bit better than I thought it might be. Sufficient for the purpose. It’s in a lovely area, lots to do, great scenery. Just don’t expect the motel room to be a great place to spend your day.

A bit stuffy, which an opened window and running the AC unit as a fan for a hour solved. Not really within walking distance of anything, but only ten minutes drive or less to lots of restaurants and other amenities.

Hipwell’s is very conveniently located; super-easy to find and get around. We were delightfully impressed to find a reasonably priced motel that had exactly what we needed for our stay: Comfortable beds, small kitchenette, clean facilities, and very helpful and kind staff!!

We enjoyed everything about our stay. If you’re looking for a luxury hotel, this budget-friendly motel isn’t for you.

I am originally from the area and knew of the Motel. While it is quite old and a little run down it suited my needs very well...just a place to lay my head at night. The room was very clean, the towels fluffy and white, and the bed just as comfy as my bed at home. The owners were very helpful and came quickly when I needed the microwave plugged in. I have no qualms about staying there again when I need a bed at night.

The room was actually a little better than I expected. The tv was a modern flatscreen, and not the tiny old one I saw on the website. The A/C was excellent. It was clean, quiet, had everything I needed, and the shower was fantastic. It is an older place, but it's well taken care of and the owners are very nice. If I'm out that way again, I'll stay there.

The toilet paper was super thin, and a box of tissue in the room would be appreciated, but that's about it..

Motel was comfy, clean, and quiet. Amenities were as expected from the website. Very nice view from the property and the seclusion was nice.

Staff can be hard to contact since they're not always in the office - not a huge problem. Water pressure in the shower was terribly low, but that's probably a legal requirement.

Room is clean, location is great and accessible, hot water in the shower did not run out, there's cable TV to watch the hockey game, stores and Timmis nearby.

Room is very dated but clean and adequate. No wifi in our room. This is no-frills place, good enough if all you are looking for is bed for the night. We basically checked-in and unloaded at 5pm then went out for dinner. Back at 8pm, watched the hockey game on TV then slept. We were checked out by 8:30 the next morning, that is all we needed, worked for us. There's fridge, microwave, kettle but did not use/need any of those.
