I was very satisfied with everything and the price was very reasonable. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, the air-conditioner worked fine and the food at their restaurant next door was also very good. The 19th century architecture and whole aesthetic of the hotel and surrounding downtown area really added something to it all as well.

The WiFi kept going out, but I was out for most of the day anyways and spent the nights reading, which is what I had planned on doing anyways (I spend enough of my time online as is while at home, so it was a nice change to be honest). Also, I could hear muffled conversations and TVs playing from the neighboring rooms through the walls, but the air-conditioner was enough to drown it out completely and I had it going whenever I was inside anyways, seeing as it was very hot out throughout my stay. No one was making noise very late though; it was pretty much dead silent by midnight and I stay up later than that generally, so it didn't bother me too much. All in all, these were pretty minor issues to me.

We loved the historic ambiance of the Inn and the town, and the proximity of the lock system, which we plan to explore by boat in the future.

The wifi was slow, making it hard to conduct any meetings via Zoom. I had to use my cellular data. Also, it took ages to get hot water, but that's not uncommon with historic buildings.

The location was very good, right on main street near most everything. Nicely decorated room with small fridge and coffee maker. Nice linens too

TV in the room was pretty much useless and since the town rolled up with shops closing at 5pm there wasn't much else to do after dinner. Internet connection wouldn't allow you to watch a show even if you could find anything

Hailey , our host, was capable and friendly, and answered any questions we had. We liked how it's not a huge inn, so not too many people, , liked the thick heavy duvet on the bed and attractive, cosy decor. We appreciated having a small fridge with some creamers provided so we could make our own coffee. Would have preferred real mugs as opposed to paper ones provided, such as 2 mugs and 2 glasses for water. We appreciated the quiet- no young families staying when we were there. A small note pad would be appreciated.

The only problem with room 4 was a very long delay for the hot water to come on in the bathroom. A hot water tank closet to the room might help or at least advise guests to turn on the tap a few minutes to get the hot water on. Would have appreciated a boot tray or thick paper like garages use to put on the floor of car , since it was winter when we visited. Would have appreciated a voucher to use in the dining room, since we were overnight guests. The Main Street is quite noisy with heavy trucks during the night , think the noise heard because the windows are older.

The place was quiet, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the android box with big flat screen TV. We had dinner at the restaurant downstairs, food and service were amazing. Coffee machine and little fridge in the room/

The bathroom fan was very loud and unfortunately on same switch as the light so no avoiding it. The A/C was moldy and made an annoying vibrating sound.

all of it! it suited our family girls get-together for a birthday celebration. it was the perfect location for a bit of shopping, along with dinner and drinks. love this historic location and building.

a stay on the third floor involved stairs, but we were aware of that. Some might have a bit of trouble with that.

Service was excellent! The property is right in the middle of town we where able to park, check in and walk around town.

Parking was difficult to find. There is no on property parking and with many events happening in town parking was filling up fast

Having read a number of terrible reviews I did not expect much and decided whatever I got was at least a room for the night. I found the whole place clean and far above expectations. The staff I dealt with, both in the hotel itself and in the pub garden, were really friendly and helpful.

I wasn't keen on the stairs but couldn't be bothered to look for the elevator.

We got upgraded to the honeymoon suite at no extra charge, it was very classy of them to do that. We loved the building and the beautiful ornate furniture. Would love to stay there again. Thank you very much

Private room, quiet. Location was close to stores, restaurants and attractions. The adjacent courtyard restaurant was very nice.

45 steps to get up to our room. We did know in advance, however, that there was no elevator. There was no telephone in the room although it was listed as an amenity. Single beds were very small.
