The home is classic Victorian. Helen the proprietor is an Irish-Canadian with the "gift of gab". She will regale you at breakfast with her stories, which are very entertaining. The breakfast is excellent, and cooked to order.

We were on the third floor, and the July weather was very hot - 85 degrees F. We could feel the heat rising as we climbed the stairs, and it felt like a furnace when we got to our room. Fortunately, we had a portable room AC, but it could not really keep up with the heat, making it tough to sleep. Of course it's not the innkeeper's fault that it was hot, but with climate change I suggest that you book a lower floor room if visiting in the summer months.

Breakfast was very good. Lots of choices with coffee, variety of juices, cereals, eggs and/or Pancakes and French Toast. There was lots of extras like a small fridge in room with access to water and ice as well as access to a mini kitchen with a sink, microwave, coffeemaker and kettle with herbal teas as well as cookies.

The only thing that could have been better is having air conditioning in the room as it was a bit stuffy and warm. Also, it would have been nice to have a hair dryer in the room as well. Otherwise everything was absolutely great.

This historic house is full of charm and character. very well located and maintained. Many great encounters around the breakfast table. The owners were great to chat with, they were very welcoming.

Great location, easy to walk into the main district and he waterfront. Private parking available. Fridge, coffee and tea always available.

Air conditioning a little noisy, but potentially to be expected when retrofitted to a heritage building.

Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Arranged very early morning transportation to airport and followed up to insure taxi arrived. Location is very convenient, many shops, sites and restaurants within short walking distance.

Bed mattress and pillows could use updating.

Helen was a superb host who included all guests. This meant we talked to people from all parts of the world. A very genuine experience for us.

The bed was a little uncomfortable. But the facilities in the room were fantastic.

The room was so decorated with antiques that it was difficult to work around the dolls, dishes, etc to find places to put our items

We loved the breakfast and the walking distance to everything. The atmosphere was amazing! We genuinely had a great stay. We felt like we were staying with family.

Our only issue was the bed could have been a little more comfortable and the air conditioning is broken/ making weird noises.

Lovely old building with lots of character. Nice owners. Great location.

No lift. Had to lug bags up two floor. To be expected in an old building.

Breakfast was good. Variety and options each morning. The bed was the most comfortable I ever slept In, away from home. Location was perfect.

The air conditioner was Loud.
