Location was excellent - just a few blocks away from restaurants and cafes. Being on the waterfront had the most spectacular views from our bedrooms and the lobby. Breakfast offered a wide selection of breads, cheese, cold cuts, eggs and fruit. There was a counter making omlettes and fried eggs. They allowed us to pack some breakfast before leaving the hotel at 5.45am for Torres del Paine but had no packaging! Would be useful to keep this for guests that require a packed breakfast. We were able to stay at breakfast until 11am, this was nice and long! There was a lovely lounge near the lobby area - my family and I spent some time there on Christmas day opening presents and watching photos of our trip connecting to the TV in the lounge. It felt like being at home!

Coffee was not great, an espresso machine would have been nice. There was no leche vegetal, so we brought our own and left it in their fridge to use every morning. It would have been nice to have a coffee machine and/or a tea kettle in the bedroom as well. The bathtub was a bit slippery and the hotel could not provide us with a rubber mat for my parents - we managed to buy one in the local chinease shops to ensure there were no accidents. Would be useful for the hotel to have some for guests.

This is a very nice hotel. Although make sure you book see facing room , as so called city view rooms face the carpark and garbage bins. Lovely lobby and adjoins sitting room. Nicely appointed rooms in all natural hues.

As there is no tea or coffee in the room, it is impossible to have a hot drink in the hotel before 4 pm when the hotel bar next to the lobby opens. There is an extra charge if you wish to have a cup of tea. Also we found breakfast on a very slim side. A lot of staff walking around the breakfast room or standing at the entrance, looking how much you put on your plate. Uncomfortable.

The location - the style - elegant - warm - beautiful view

The breakfast . We were very disappointed. It was very boring/dull - both to look at and the taste. No colors all in beige - the food and the decoration There were no fresh Chilean bread. No hallulla - no marraqueta / pan batido - no palta - no tomates - no vegetables. No trace of being in Chile . I’m from Norway and love the traditional Chilean bread. My Chilean friend that I’m traveling with was embarrassed. This was a big disappointment. The bread they served was dry and did not have a good taste. There’s a BIG improvement to be done. Hope they will make changes to show the food tradition to foreigners

Lovely location on the lake front. Our corner room had fantastic views ranging over approx 240 degrees. Breakfast was excellent, you could see the impact of Covid with everything offered in single person portions which is probably one of the few ongoing benefits from that time. We visited in Winter and hotel was lovely and warm. Staff were very friendly and we made use of the luggage store on the day we departed, most useful.

During our stay the hotel was undergoing renovation on the floors below which meant a little noise. The hotel offers self serve filtered water from a dispenser by the lifts, the provided carafes took an absolute age to fill, the dispensing button had to be pushed in with significant pressure throughout this slow delivery.

Breakfast was amazing. Coffee was early and perfect for travelers. The view was spectacular. Ability to open windows was great. Spacious. Nice furniture.

The bathroom leaked and the resident in the room below complained about a water leak. You could see that there were holes at the base of the shower door. My friend called to see if there was a waterfront room available and the cost was $280 not the outrageous price I paid. In addition, our third party could not attend and they did not allow for a reduced fee. I will not return.

Great position facing the sea and mountains If you can, get a room with a sea view as not only are the morning views great so are the sunsets

Location close to town centre. Staff went out their way to make you comfortable and always helpful when you asked for advice. The only think missing was coffee and tea making facilities in the room.

View from the hotel were amazing,

No information desk re Puerto Natales or tours and no brochures around. We asked for a map and were given a B,&W photocopy of a bus map with some stops. For such a top class hotel you would expect good information available. We stayed 5 nights and noticed the room floor was not hoovered and how furniture built up dust on the surface. From 5.00 am the trucks noise wakes you up as the hotel is right on the main road.

Location, beds and pillows were so comfortable. Ocean view was amazing! Staff was so sweet and welcoming!

No slippers or robes available in the room. The only mirror on the room was in the bathroom and it wasn’t full body size. Doors to the rooms were loud and you can hear everything from the hallway!

The views were spectacular and the staff were great especially Francisco and Paula. They were so patient and helpful. The dinner was amazing! Compliments to their chef.

The WiFi was not available for the cabins which could be a nuisance for some. I was ok with that. The waste baskets in the bathrooms could be larger given they recommend not to throw anything in the toilet.

Stayed 2 nights at Hotel Costaustralis and was very pleasantly surprised. It is the first stop on the way into town from the hotel which is convenient if you take the shuttle bus. Nice location on the shoreline with view to the north and west over the harbour and to the mountains. Our room faced the harbour and it was cosy with a beautiful view. Unfortunately there are very bright lights on the walkway illuminating the shoreline walk and they stay on all night so we had to close the blackout curtains over our window which was a pity. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the breakfast was excellent, better than anywhere else we encountered in Chile. The restaurant was also open until 11pm which was convenient for a late return from Torres del Paine. Although not in the centre of town, there are plenty of shops, restaurants and other conveniences within a short and pleasant walk from the hotel
