Beautiful, creative design using high quality materials. Very comfortable beds, high quality linens. Attention to detail: lighting, tea kettle and materials, coffee materials. Could obtain food at any time. Also good breakfast. Courteous staff. Very clean.

Room cards did not always work. Not quite ready for breakfast service at posted time of 7am. Only minded because we needed to get to airport Required cab payment upfront in US $ plus it was somewhat overpriced.

Beautiful beautiful hotel. The decor is fabulous and makes you feel like you're in a cabin with all the wooden walls and floors. Bed was wonderful and the terrace is lovely. The positives massively outweigh the issues we had.

We didn't have water on the day we were checking out. This happens, but instead of them suggesting a discount / taking things off the bill without prompting I had to explain I'm not paying for any room service or food given the discomfort caused by not being able to shower before going to the airport. However they did take all that off the bill without any further commentary so I was happy. The only other comment I'd make is that most 4/5 star hotels have a rain shower which is very much to shower in but Magnolia doesn't have that unfortunately.

Magnificent Magnolia. I am fortunate to be able to travel widely and often. Hotel Magnolia is magnificent. The attention to detail is second to none. The location is superb-just across the road from the wildly eclectic Cerro Santa Lucia-and in easy walking distance of Santiago’s major sights. Christian and every single person of his team were extremely helpful and accommodating as I checked in and out as I criss crossed Chile 🇨🇱. I cannot imagine a better place to stay in Santiago. Muchas gracias to you Christian and your wonderful staff 🇨🇱🙏 I have already posted this review but I forgot to thank Rangiroa the concierge who was very helpful and patient in responding to my many questions before I arrived-muchas gracias Rangiroa.

The hotel is beautifully decorated. The staff is super friendly, they tried to help us whenever needed and seemed genuinely concerned that we had a nice stay. They even lent us a bip card for the metro. The breakfast was medium size in terms of options but very good quality (coffee, pastries). We also had dinner there and the food was very tasty. It was very well located. I highly reccomend this hotel. The room is a good size with complementary tea and water at your disposal.

The wifi in the bedroom was almost none existing, which was annoying. It the bedroom there was only very tall pillows which were unconfortable. Sometimes the room was very warm, others it was ok, it seemed that the temp control in the room didnt work properly.

Without question, the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in - I loved it and it was the best of the holiday. It's beautifully decorated, the room was huge as was the bathroom. All the staff we encountered were absolutely wonderful and the rooftop bar was the icing on the cake. I wish I had booked another night there! It's in a great location, just round the corner from lots of cute bars and restaurants and an area that feels really safe.

Water pressure was a little low but we found that in most places. Breakfast wasn't as good as at other places - no offer of cooked breakfast items, limited selection of buffet items and the coffee was from a nespresso machine. However, I am not really breakfast orientated so not a huge deal for me but a bit of a surprise for a hotel of that quality.

Beautiful room. The hotel seems to be a gut-renovated old building where the façade has been preserved and an essentially brand new hotel has been constructed inside. This does create some odd positioning of windows, but our room was light and felt airy. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was excellent. We had a very late flight home the night we checked out and pretty much had to hang out all day until it was time to head to the airport for out midnight flight. The staff was lovely about this and we really enjoyed the roof top bar and restaurant for much of the afternoon.

Location seemed mildly sketchy, but I think that's just Santiago. This was our only day here. We went on a tour and there is a lot of damage, ugly graffiti, boarded up buildings and so forth from some political disturbances 3 years ago but the mess is still there. These are all right downtown and I was surprised things haven't been cleaned up after all that time.

The décor in the whole hotel was awesome. The rooms were great but one of the room we were in was so noisy as it faced the street and the street noise went on till past midnight. The breakfast was ok. The breakfast room was a bit small though. Some of the desserts were yum. I guess we were comparing to previous hotels too as we were on a 40 day trip around SA and already had such a great experience in most of the other 5 star hotels.

The communication as I had constantly written and asked if we could keep one room for an extra half day. They agreed with a payment of 50% but somehow they kept asking us to ask the next morning and the next again for confirmation. The lady said I could keep any one room but when I went to return the keys of one of the room, we were asked to vacate the other room and keep the other. It was very inconvenient and my daughter left her glasses behind in the process. I had asked for the two rooms to be close to each other but we were given rooms on different floors.

Some of the staff were amazing. Very good mixologist working at the roof top bar. Good size room. Lots of TV channels. Decent gym. Very good Australian style breakfast but I can imagine Americans and some Europeans would not have enough hot dishes.

Staff was hit and miss. Some were surly and others amazing. I wasn’t entirely happy with the location. It was the first time since the 1990s in Johannesburg that a hotel had warned us to be in the hotel before dark. When I questioned if it was really that bad and that we had just been in Argentina for 2 weeks, the woman at checkin told me that in Santiago you just get robbed but in Argentina you get stabbed then robbed. This was obviously an exaggeration as I was standing in front of her neither stabbed nor robbed after being in Argentina. And we walked around at night going to restaurants and bars in BA with none of the issues we had in Santiago.

Breakfast was excellent. Lunch and dinner on the rooftop was superb. Loved the food. It is on the pricey side for a meal in Chile. The room was spacious and well-equipped. The location was good for the central part of Santiago.

Whenever the hotel organised a local taxi, I was assured that the taxi service will take credit cards. This was not always the case. Uber was still substantially cheaper. Language is an issue in understanding if a taxi will only take cash, or whether credit card is sufficient. Clarity with local taxis is required.
