The location is in the safe La Lastarria neighborhood and walking distance to several museums ( Bella arte; precolombina; etc) and old city center. There are plenty good eateries near the hotel, several supermarkets nearby. The green park next to the hotel was nice to walk during the day. We felt very safe. Hotel is cool and modern in decor and clean. The library in the lobby has interesting books and it is cost to seat and read there. Breakfast is excellent and good quality and variety. Most staff are friendly and helpful.

One staff at the reception was a bit unfriendly ( the late night of 12/19 /early morning 12/20). A bit rude in answering our questions about taxi fare.

We loved the location of this hotel! It was right in the heart of the Lastarria neighborhood. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted during our stay, museums, squares, parks and we even walked to the zoo. The restaurants just out the door were incredible. Our view overlooked the park and it was very quiet for being in such a great area. Room was nice as well!

The only disappointment was the rooftop area, it was very noisy with their air conditioning or some type of electric machine up there, really no lighting when siting up there at night, could of used some mood lighting or string lights and better seating options with only four barstools to look over the park.

It is a beautiful yet intimate boutique hotel. My room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and the beds are big and very comfortable. I also had a little balcony overlooking the park which was a bonus. The staff is very friendly and helpful, providing good recommendations for the local shops and restaurants. The breakfast was outstanding, probably the best hotel breakfast I had in Chile. Lots of options, everything was fresh and delicious and again the breakfast staff couldn't be more accommodating. On the top of that the hotel has a little rooftop swimming pool. Perfect for a chilled afternoon and if you want to relax with the book or cool yourself down. I had a fantastic stay.

Great location, close to the bars and restaurants of Lastarria and the lovely park (and a relatively quick Transvip to/from the airport). We booked a room with a balcony overlooking the park and it was beautiful. The beds are large and comfortable and the shower powerful (though the temp control was very sensitive!). The staff were super friendly, professional and helpful, and buffet breakfast had a good variety of options.

The aircon system in the room was a complete mystery to us - we couldn't figure out how to turn it off no matter what we tried!

Booked this, because security was a must and in that sense, felt really secure. Room was nice and comfy. Breaksfast good. Overall friendly staff. Pool is upstairs, with nice view but it was a bit cold outside to enjoy it.

Was not informed, that on Sunday breakfast starts half an hour later. Thankfully still had time to eat before going to airport. Tried to book their expensive airport transfere, you have to do it via Email, but got no reply. Well, uber was cheaper anyway. On check-in they put a deposit on your CC, no info regarding this while booking. Luckyly they do charge your room fee later from it and release the extra amount quickly.

This is a nice boutique hotel in a central area of Santiago. Our room was nice, with a balcony overlooking the park. Many tourist attractions are a 10-15 minute walk. There are many cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance, and a popular ice cream shop right around the corner. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was also very good. Would highly recommend this Hotel Ismael.

The power was out for more than half a day during our stay for maintenance, which I would not have expected for a highly regarded hotel.

The hotel itself was great, beautiful interior and our room was quiet and overlooking the park. But the biggest asset to this place was the staff. The people at the reception really went above and beyond to let us check in early after a long overnight flight and get some much needed sleep and they also sorted out our laundry in such a limited time we had. This was some of the best hospitality ever experienced. They were there to offer solutions and make our experience as smooth as possible. We really appreciate that! Thank you!!

A warm welcome, smiling faces and comfort are something you often are looking for when travelling and hotel ismael did not disappoint. It is a boutique hotel full of charm. It is also in a great location for excellent food choices or a walk in the park. It is walking distance to many things to do including museums, galleries, markets and historic plazas. The room was very comfortable and the terrace was nice and quiet to relax. The hotel has a lovely vibe, many interesting books. I stayed for 8 nights and found only Saturday night a bit noisy in the park but this is a city after all. Breakfast seemed a generous spread.

The hotel is in quiet and safe neighborhood,close to restaurants and walking distance to major sights. The modern-minimalist style provides good vibes to guests. Breakfast offer good options.

Power outlets for charging electronic gadget are not easily accessible from bedside. Tv size is a bit smallish and it’s positioned at an odd angle. There is quite a smell coming off from the bathroom drain.

I stayed at this hotel twice. Excellent base for exploring Lastarria and other sites and just steps away from the park (perfect for dog-watching), fine arts museum, shops, great restaurants, bars and cafes. Staff were very helpful with transportation requests (these are outsourced and the service provider is very efficient - great airport transfer service), printing of documents and holding luggage while travelling to Rapa Nui. Breakfast was more than ample - the traditional South American offerings with some additional items such as a small selection of roasted vegetables, tomatoes and avocado. The hotel provided some nice touches such as a computer for guests, water throughout the day and coffee with some small snacks in the lounge area. Comfortable rooms with a small balcony and desk. Lovely experience and I would have no hesitation staying here again.

The hotel ran out of milk one morning at breakfast. Since there were shops just steps away, just a bit surprised that this was not dealt with.
