Stayed for 5 nights. Even got an early check in at 11:30am! Amazing hotel, very clean and neat. Rooms go through housekeeping maintenance everyday, water pressure in the bathroom (hot and cold) is very high. Bed is super Comfortable, double pillows on each bed! Super fast WiFi, Literally everything is in the room including the toiletries. Just baggage check-in. Staff speak good English including the cook at the egg station in the kitchen area. Free private car pickup from North Guilin Railway station! Buffet Breakfast and scenic view from the dining area is very nice. (though can't sit on the balcony due to extreme hot weather in the morning! ) but can enjoy the evenings at the cocktail bar. The streets are crowded with tourists because of the elephant hill scenic park opposite the hotel and the pagodas on the left side of the hotel. Most hotels in this area are filled with Chinese Group tour visitors. The longest food street is 300m away from the hotel which has Irish bar, Indian restaurant, Japanese Korean food and mainly lots of Chinese food. every 1/3 shop on the street is a tourist stall offering taxis, local trip bookings, sight seeing entry tickets, airport/railway station transfers (just like in the streets of Thailand), there is one counter at the hotel Lobby too!

Excellent location for Guilin attractions and close to city centre and pedestrian streets. Restaurant on the top floor overlooking the river and Elephant trunk hill offered outstanding views and served a good breakfast and evening meal. Rooms were clean with very good bathroom facilities. Lovely beds. Complementary soft drinks in the room fridge. Hotel has dedicated staff to help arrange trips and visits. Staff in the restaurant were very helpful and friendly. Has a boutique feel.

We had a deluxe room which on the website stated it had a sofa and a balcony. It had no sofa and the door onto the balcony was locked. When we asked for the key we were told guests weren’t allowed to use the balcony! On 3 sides of the hotel there are outstanding views, however, our room was at the rear of the hotel and overlooked a hospital ward which was a real disappointment. Hotel reception staff were not overly friendly. When we left they didn’t even say good bye.

the restaurant and terrace on the 7th floor is magnificent!

Breakfast was not too “western friendly “ so there was not much to choose from if you don’t eat Chinese food in general. Some bread and cheese would have sufficed but there was none, and very little fruit.

Pleasantly surprised that Jolie Vue Boutique Hotel was clean and modern in literally the middle of the city right on the river and a block away from the pedestrian walking street. Hotel staff were kind and helpful. Agree that there’s no need to go into Elephant trunk hill park because you get a great view from the hotel rooftop eating breakfast. Exceeded our expectations!

Hotel was great

Breakfast had a nice selection of Western and Chinese options. One of us is vegetarian and we were both well fueled for our day. Location was walkable to sites and restaurants including an Indian restaurant. Easy to get Didis and bikes from. Staff was extremely helpful and someone was always available to answer our questions in English. They helped booked our river cruise to Yangshuo. We really enjoyed our stay and chose to stay here again when we stopped in Guilin for the night.

Nothing much to criticize: friendly and serviceable staff, clean rooms, nice view on the park, quiet despite the number of guests, good standard breakfast.

The bunk beds need real mattresses. They were quite hard for the kids.

It was clean and the staff was super friendly. By far one of the best beds I have ever slept in in a hotel for that price. Would highly recommend this hotel.
