Quiet location very close to everything in La Candelaria, easily walkable if (short) uphill walks in this altitude are no problem for you. The hotel has a special charm, someone between Spanish Colonial and a European medieval castle. One of the most unique places we ever stayed in. Staff was friendly and attentive, especially the young woman working reception on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Good for her, she had Sunday off, so we didn't get to ask for her name, but she was always there and always went the extra mile.

Some of the walls are very thin, so you can hear noises.

Loved staying at Hotel Muisca!!!! Carlos and his colleagues were fantastic, professional, courteous, super nice and informative. Great breakfast on the veranda/roof each morning. Perfect location in La Candelaria. Carlos arranged for several outings for us with a driver (Villa de Leyva and Catedral de Sal)- easy and economical. Would highly recommend this hotel for travelers looking for a cool spot, clean and fun.

While not a big deal, it was a tiny bit loud in our family room on the first floor.

Location was great. Was within a quick walk to main points of La Candelaria, but just on the edge that it was peaceful for a good nights sleep. Staff were super helpful and arranged airport transfers for us. The breakfast was amazing and was lovely to be able to have it on the rooftop terrace. The property is decorated old Colombian style and has special traditional features.

Nothing, we really enjoyed our stay. Though it is located at top of big hill, which was no issue for us, but may be if you have some mobility issues.

We arrived late after a long flight and the manager was available and very attentive. Check in was easy and we were in our beds within 15 minutes of arrival. The hotel and room are cozy and more of a typical Colombian experience, not a chain hotel like a Hilton. Breakfast was a simple Colombian 'comidas tipicas' of eggs, sausage, bread, fruit, coffee and tea which we ate in the sunshine of the roof deck. The location was very good if you want to visit the old part of town La Candelaria, visit many shops, museums, restaurants, bars, cafes and see some street performances. There is a clear view of the city and the mountains. The manager was very helpful at all times, even taking phone calls for us when we lost cell service.

The wi fi went out a few times. There is a courtyard where guests can eat meals, some guests there were talking loudly fairly early in the morning.

Breakfast was great; room and the rest of the hotel was absolutely beautiful. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Comfy bed. Lots of nice artwork and artifacts spread throughout.

No problem with the room or stay; the hotel is gorgeous. The main issue is that the neighborhood, La Candelaria, is basically vacant at night--which is common in many historic centers in LatAm (and Europe). During the day it's bustling with beautiful historic architecture to see, shops, cafes, etc. But at night everything closes early except around Calle 12/Carrera 2 where there's a couple places open late (e.g., El Gato Gris). I did not feel unsafe walking out at night, but others might think differently. Also, walking up the hill (Calle 10) to the hotel is brutal: long and very steep so I cannot recommend a stay here for the elderly or those with difficulty walking and a wheelchair would be impossible.

Location in the center of the old town. Clean rooms. Charming place. Excellent view of the city from the roof terrace. Fair breakfast (although Colombians do not understand the concept of real (unsweetened) bread). The man helping us most of the time was wonderful, the rest of the personnel were a bit less customer oriented.

Rather expensive for local means. Breakfast could be a bit more comfortable and tailored to their customers (you genuinely develop a craving for ordinary bread in Colombia). Returning to the hotel is often a strain since it requires steep climbing in the low-oxygen ambience of Bogota.

Historic house with a lot of character in a great location, clean and comfortable. Near the museums, cafes and restaurants. The staff was wonderful, Carlos was especially helpful when we had to store our luggage for a later departure. They also prepared us some food on our first night as it was too late to go out.

This really is a gem. The room was lovely and comfortable- really clean and spacious. Also plenty of room to hang up clothes. The best bit was the roof terrace where we could have breakfast and drinks in the evening- fantastic views!

It was perfect for us- but it’s up a steep hill and the spiral staircase might not be ideal for everyone.

The hotel is centrally located in a great neighborhood making it very walkable to Plaza Bolívar, Museo de Oro, Museo de Botero and lots of great restaurants and bars. The decor and gardens in incorporated in the hotel were beautiful. The breakfast was great, some of the best fresh juice we had on our trip!

Being in a historic building the walls are very thin so it can be a bit noisy at times. Our room overlooked the garden so we could hear the early breakfast diners and the late night arrivals. If you’re a light sleeper I recommend bringing some ear plugs.

Staff fantastic - Judy, Vivian and colleagues. Helped me countless times with ordering taxis, being flexible with breakfast timings/orders, giving advice about the city. Great views from the terrace. Great location in the Candalaria district, v. near to museums and the Plaza Bolívar.

Nothing, really. The neighbour's nightly car alarm was annoying but nothing I guess the hotel could really do...
