Breakfast was delicious. Rooms were spacious (we had 2 suites), clean and well appointed -- although a little bit dark. Front desk staff was great.

The pool / rooftop is much smaller than the pictures lead you to believe. Cartegena is a loud vibrant city. The hotel has a great location, but that means you hear a lot of the noise / rooftop parties. They closed the pool for a day for a private party which is hard when you plan to use it, but after some insistence they let us use the pool at a sister hotel which was totally fine and a nice change of scenary.

Great breakfast. Staff was super nice. Pool was good. Location is excellent. Very close to wherever you want to be in Cartagena. Mattress was comfy. Air conditioning was good. Reasonably priced for the location and caliber of hotel.

The pool layout doesn't look like it does in the pictures. Corona has obviously dumped a bit of money on the patio and provided branded furniture. There are now these bed things that are comfortable but make it weird when you want to sun with your partner side by side. There are way too many tables and not enough umbrellas. Why does the DJ stand need a permanent umbrella attached to it? Sometimes the pool area is unstaffed.

I loved Sophia Hotel! Very confortable and spacious room. Great location, in the heart of Cartagena, with a lot of excellent restaurants and cafes nearby. Breakfast was also really good, with a buffet and a menu included to order different kinds of eggs and other dishes. Staff was realy kind and helpfull. I recomend the hotel and would stay there again, for sure!

In general, my room was silent, but it was just bellow the swimming pool area and, in the afternoon, people dragged wood and iron chairs and tables upstairs making noise. It would be nice, if the hotel put some protection in the botton of them (felt, rubber etc), so this wouldn't happen.

A great little boutique hotel in the heart of The Old City, located right across from the town square and around the corner from The Clock Tower. Great location! The property itself is extremely clean, and well kept considering the damage that ocean air can do. you can see how much pride this hotel and its’ staff take care in and of this property. Bonuses for me were the in-house restaurant which served many options of breakfast especially, amongst many other meal options; and the rooftop patio with a plunge pool and one of THE best rooftop views of the city!! The staff here from front desk to maintenance to housekeeping to restaurant are so friendly and helpful. They really made me feel comfortable, safe and well taken care of.

A minor recommendation would be to install more lighting in the rooms and bathrooms as I found them a little dark for me (or lighten the wall colour a little as that might help as well). The only other thing that wasn’t so great initially but then I go used to it and found a work around, was the slow drainage in the shower.

This hotel is at a prime location. The staff is friendly, accommodating, the hotel is clean. Staff is out of this world. Rooftop pool is beautiful overlooking the beauty of Cartagena. Location, location

The worst part of my stay, was that it was so short. I would have loved to stay a few more days to b pampered by the staff and enjoy their breakfast menu. I miss the coffee and the service.

GREAT breakfast delivered to room, possibly best cappuccino I’ve ever had. Room was excellent, very clean. Nice pool to cool off and relax and enjoy view in evenings. Loved the location in the old city and I would definitely recommend staying here.

I liked using concierge via WhatsApp but they didn’t seem to be quite on the same page regarding what activities we wanted to do so ended up booking on our own. Therefore recommend researching and booking excursions in advance. Blue Apple Resort day trip to island was A+ and also took Bona Vida catamaran which was fun but a bit crowded in comparison to other snorkeling trips I’ve been on.

Very friendly Staff that makes everything possible for you. Also the food and the drinks are really really good. Rooms are big and nice, especially the bathrooms. Still, we found it too expensive - it’s not a five star hotel as known from Germany, rather a good 3 star Boutique Hotel - but: in Cartagena everything is far too expensive compared to the rest of the country. The location is perfect for everything in the old town, we felt really safe. Thanks to David and everyone!!!

just the price as mentioned; and the terrace is not as big as it seems on the photos! it’s quiete small and there are many guests from outside the hotel that watch you “relax” on the Pool, which we didn’t like that much

- Excellent location, in the historic centre and right next to a famous salsa bar - Very nice room with cozy atmosphere - Friendly welcome

- The rooftop bar was a bit dead, with loud and bad international music (I would recommend a more local touch in the music choice in such a boutique hotel) - The suite doesn't bring much value, except for the terrace but that it challenging to use (it either rains or it is too hot and there is no sun umbrella) - A bit expensive compared to some others of the same categories.

The rooftop was cute, although maybe they could do with a few more umbrellas. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was in a good location, provided you want to be in the heart of things in the old city.

It's loud at night if you aren't used to the late hours that the city provides. I think that would be true anywhere, but given the location, you are subject to hear a lot of people/cars/music.

Fantastic hotel with great rooftop and swimming pool on top. The swimming pool is more to relax than swim 70 cm depth but very nice 😉. On top you have a bar where you can order beer and other drinks. All closed at 21:30 and you can't use it after. The Rooms are fantastic, very quiet and comfortable with aircon and big fan. Bathroom big, with toiletteries, hot water, towels and bathrobes. The receptionists are very nice... They have helped us with lost key, printing documents and arranging a Pcr test in the hotel (it was 290k with result in 6 hours) which was needed for our next travel destination. Location very central and close to all shops and restaurants.
