Beautiful place with exceptionally kind and welcoming staff! We loved everything about our stay at Casa Vito. The rooms are clean, with AC and a small kitchen area. They provide fresh water, coffee and tea all day and have a beautiful outside area where you can sit and watch the jungle while listening to the waves. They even give you towels and mats for the beach, which we really appreciate. It's a calm and relaxing place, still just ten minutes walking to town or a great beach. We saw monkeys, slots, lizzards, and many more animals while sitting outside. Thank you so much, we would recommend Casa Vito any time!

Casa Vito is an awesome place to stay in Puerto Viejo! The location is spot on—close enough to the city center to walk but far enough to stay quiet and peaceful. The beach right in front is really pretty and perfect for relaxing. The place has a chill vibe and is super clean, which made us feel comfortable right away. The staff are friendly and helpful, and Vito was amazing, always there to help us out with whatever we needed. Overall, it’s a perfect spot if you’re looking for a mix of convenience, good vibes, and a nice beach nearby. Highly recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Casa Vita in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, the warm welcome from the young lady at reception set the tone for an incredible stay. She was not only friendly but also took the time to show me around the stunning hotel, my enormous suite, and the nearby beach, making me feel right at home. The suite itself was enormous, spacious enough to comfortably accommodate up to nine guests, making it ideal for groups. Hotel Casa Vita is nestled in a vibrant town that boasts a lively party atmosphere. The local culture, combined with the breathtaking scenery, made for a delightful experience both in and out of the hotel. The beach, just a stone’s throw away, was the cherry on top of this amazing getaway. If you’re looking for a place that offers fantastic hospitality, spacious accommodations, and a fun, lively environment, look no further than Hotel Casa Vita. I can't wait to return!

had one of the beachview rooms, it was very quiet, spent some hours in the hammock, saw a sloth, a leguan, a monkey family, a hummingbird, ... very nice place to wind down, and very close to beaches and restaurants. The waterfront is really nice, no swimming but cooling, like a natural pool. Highly enjoyed it. The hosts were extremely helpful, I felt welcome. a couple more days would have been great, but was not possible for me. Hopefully there'll be a next time.

I stayed at the Hotel Casa Vito Beachfront for a week and I had a wonderful time. The hotel is located right on the beach, so you can enjoy the sun, sand and sea anytime you want. The hotel is also close to many bars and restaurants, so you can easily find something to eat and drink. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, they always greeted me with a smile and made sure I had everything I needed. The owner Vito and his staff are great and hospitality was out of this world. They gave me tips on where to go and what to do, and they even invited me for a drink by the bar. The room was clean and comfortable, with a queen-sized bed, a mini fridge, a TV and a coffee maker. The bathroom was spacious and had nice shower. The wifi was fast and reliable, and the air conditioning was quiet and efficient. The price was very reasonable for the quality and location of the hotel. I would definitely recommend the Hotel Casa Vito Beachfront to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay on the beach. Definitely would return whenever I'm in the area! can't beat the location for the price!

Casa Vito is a really nice hotel with spacious rooms, a wonderful beach right in front of the door and a delicious breakfast! We enjoyed our time there very much. The beach nearby is only visited by locals and during the week you can be lucky to have it to yourself. Also, you can snorkel there very well and Casa Vito even provides free snorkeling equipment and beach mats for that. It is really peaceful and the only thing that might disturb you are howler monkeys. The location is very good as it is also only a 10 minute walk to the center of town. The staff is very accommodating and friendly and we were able to feel at home for the duration of our stay. We definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing time in Puerto Viejo!

TOP accomodation, location and service! Vito and his crew really made sure that we felt very welcome and went beyond our expectations! On our arrival we were greeted with complimentary fresh fruit shakes. The room that we had booked looked great, but we couldn’t resist the offer to upgrade (for a small extra fee) to the honeymoon suite with beach and sea view, with hammocks next to the beautiful garden with volleyball field. From the hammocks we have seen poison dart frogs, howler monkeys, small lizards and a blue morpho butterfly. Sometimes there are even sloths in the garden. In our opinion the location is the BEST! Walking distance from Puerto Viejo town and all the facilities. But also located in a quiet stretch of beautiful tropical rainforest bordering the beach and sea. The beach is semi private with coconut palms and other trees. It has natural pools, sheltered by reef, so even with a big swell you can chill in the water. For surfing Salsa Brava is walking distance. Playa Cocles is 950m away and has a beach and pointbreak. It also is home to 3 volleyball fields on one of them the locals play a good level beach volleyball. Breakfast is excellent! So is the owner Vito and his crew! Always very friendly and helpful. And they really did everything to make our stay very good. We find the Costa Rican host in general very friendly, but even then they distinguished themselves in a positive way. Best service we have had in our entire trip. During our stay we were married for 20 years. And we were surprised with balloons, chocolate cake and wine. 🥂 If you have the chance to stay and Vito’s, go for it! We highly recommend it!

We moved to Hotel Casa Vito after staying one night at another cabiña farther from town without A/C. Hotel Casa Vito exceded our expectations and is in a great location. The staff was incredibly friendly, courteous, and very knowledgeable about the area. Vito gave restaurant recommendations and arranged a tour to Punta Uva for my daughters and me. The staff was always available and checked in on us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. Responses to inquiries through the chat feature of Booking.com, email, and WhatsApp were very quick and the staff all spoke English and Spanish. The hotel is right next to a great area on the beach with safe swimming, and the hotel offered bamboo mats and towels for us to take down there. There were also spots at the hotel to rinse the sand from your feet and take a warm shower before returning to your room. The room was clean and exactly as described with wonderful air conditioning. Breakfast was a great value with hearty portions of a few options, and it was delicious. Their rice and beans were the best I've had in Costa Rica so far. If we return to Puerto Viejo, we'll definitely be staying at Hotel Casa Vito again.

Staying in casa vito was amazing. Vito and his staff were so nice, helpfull and gave us a lot of tips to visit restaurants, nice places etc. The breakfast was really tastfull and the kingsize bedroom was really comfy. Walking around in the garden was also very interesting because of all the nice little animals (green frogs, lizards) but we also enjoyed seeing monkeys and a sloth. Best stay in Costa Rica if you ask us.

Waking up by howling monkeys... 😉. No just kiddin'. We woke up early but this reason is the best reason in our opinion. Absolutely nothing to complain about!

Excellent service by Vito and his staff. I strongly recommend you take advantage of Yoshi's home made breakfast every morning. No hassle and surely the best deal in town for just 8$/person - we chose something different everyday including customized freshly blended juices. The accommodations are great - spacious rooms and comfy beds. Our ocean view rooms had hammocks and swing chairs right outside our doors.The location is just perfect - the sound of the ocean is wonderful, waterfront is swimmable too - even for small children. Casa Vito is just a short walk to town (quiet yet still perfect walking distance to the activity) with many great restaurants and shops along the way. Puerto Viejo has a great Caribbean vibe and energy too. Vito also provided many excellent recommendations for dining/excursions - his food recommendations were fantastic and he helped arrange our excursions at a much better than advertised price.

Everything was above and beyond our expectations. I would recommend atleast staying 1-2 weeks to be able to visit the areas many treasures. 4 nights isn't enough.
