The place offers parking (100m away from the hotel) and has a restaurant onsite if it gets dark and you want food (it's open until 21:00pm, the food is just ok) The room was very nice, we got upgraded to the junior suite, it was huge and the bed was very big and comfortable. AC and nice shower too. Also big TV with lots of channels. The location is also good, close to the main avenue It's a beautiful old colonial house and it's nicely decorated

The service was nice. However, when we asked in the morning about what to visit or where to go for a walk in the city, the front desk staff was not very helpful, he did not give us any tip or information, he just did not know The breakfast is quite average, eggs and bacon (cooked when ordered), some fruit, bread and cereals. Although it's not the hotel's fault, our neighbours were very noisy at 2 in the morning and had a barking dog. They were shouting, had the TV on with loud volume and had the door open! We also heard them when they got to the room. The hotel should maybe check the corridors and the cameras more closely

Located in the historic and interesting Barrio Amon this hotel is a short walk to downtown. When we found that our assigned room had no windows, they quickly and courteously upgraded us to a lovely large room with lots of natural light. Staff were friendly.

Some rooms don’t have windows. The breakfast was the same everyday and after 3 days we chose to eat elsewhere for variety. The shower wasn’t adjustable and the spray was very rough.

Great staff, super helpful and very attentive. The breakfast was tasty and quite abundant, loved the coffee! The rooms were extremely clean and we enjoyed the comfort of a hot shower, nice bed and quiet in the building. I don't know San Jose well enough but the location is central and close to cute restaurants which is a plus!

The restaurant in the building closes down at 9pm so not ideal for late arrivals

Comfortable beds, very clean, maid service excellent. Breakfast was open at 6:30 so we could eat before being picked up for tours. The restaurant had excellent service and food.

The Dunn Inn is across the street from a Casino. It was loud (ok with silicone ear plugs); prostitution and drug dealing taking place. The area around the hotel had many homeless looking folks begging for money.

Great little cafe and restaurant attached to the hotel. The owner was very helpful given my luggage was delayed and even offered to take me to the local mall to buy necessities. Front desk staff also attentive and welcoming. A charming old hotel full of art and very comfortable.

The room was noisy - mainly due to the layout of the building with a corridor outside. Both staff and other guests were very loud from inside the room late at night and early morning.

The hotel is ideally located, very close to the inner city (walking distance about 10 minutes). The room we had was spacious, clean and comfortable with a window facing a small inner courtyard (apparently there are rooms without windows - be sure to check before booking). The staff was really helpful and friendly. I’d stay there again, if I should ever come back to San José.

Very good place.

The only issue was a really poor wifi. The connection was slow and intermittent in the room, but relatively good in the reception and restaurant. Maybe you can improve that. Other important thing is that the hotel is in the middle of a zone with prostitution, but during out stay we didn’t experience any problem derived from this.

great location, clean and nicely decorated, room had everything you needed, they even gave you a bottle of water and glasses, breakfast was included and was nice, not too fancy but good. the restaurant in the hotel seemed nice, although we went out for dinner

there were hardly any sockets in the room, a little weird

Was given a packaged breakfast that was included in room price. Selection OK because I had a departure before kitchen was open

I stayed over night in a Sat. It was very noisy due to a big party near the hotel. Went on well after midnight. My room was located on the front of hotel will be returning to hotel next week on the 5th. Hope I get a whiter room. Everything else was great. Bonnie

The staff is great. Specially Josh at front desk. He made a call to the hospital regarding the COVID test for us. Also Debbie at the coffee stand is very friendly and nice. The room is basic but pretty nice. Everything worked in the room. Location is close to a park and a nice neighborhood with interesting buildings. Had a security guard.

The doors are very flimsy and locking them was not easy. Still uses the old style keys from 1920s.
