October 2023

Perfect for a business professional and international traveller. All needs were met without too much fuss. Loved the chocolates on my pillow in the evening. It seems that I only received part of the welcome basket, but I didn't mind. The ladies in the spa/salon were great with manicures, waxing and massage. The pool and gym would be great in Winter too. Nikoli - matrade of the breakfast shift - was terrific. Welcoming guests by name and nationality, and learning their coffees. The younger staff were totally cool and clearly used to modern independence and international guest needs.

Solo female travellers: there were some "cultural cringe" moments when I dined alone. Some male staff made it awkward - either chasing me for the bill as if I were unable to pay, insinuating that I was in the hotel for other business, or trying to tell me what I meant or desired from a menu as if they had never seen women order for herself. I was embarrassed for them.

Room was clean, well sized and comfortable with all required extras (toiletries, coffee and tea, water bottles, etc.). Breakfast was also very good and with quite a varied choice. Location is good but not quite exactly at the centre. You would need to take a tram or walk for about 20 minutes to reach the old centre/part of the city. Also the hotel accepted our request to make a late check out (and without any extra charge) since we had a late evening flight. So that is a big plus and thumbs up for this hotel.

The bathroom sink taps were a bit hard to operate, like sort of a bit jammed. This appears to be throughout and not an issue of just one room as I stayed at two different rooms on two different occasions and both had the same problem. Nothing serious, but you would not expect to find such a thing at a hotel of this standard. Otherwise nothing to complain of.

Staff is professional always available for assistance. The Junior App was ,old fashioned, but specious and clean. The food in Diana bar was very good, service as well.

The hotel is declared as Pet Friendly, but pets are not allowed to any area where food is served. You can sit in the lounge (Doing what) or on the closed terrace. The terrace was so smoky that no matter that we are smoker,we run out. I do hope that management will consider this issue because in front of them is,at least, one year of renovation.

The room service options were plentiful. The room had a nice view over Zagreb. The breakfast was amazing, so many options and a chef who made fresh individual omelettes. The room service brought us free bottles of water and chocolate daily and upon arrival we had the most amazing macarons in our room.

Our card didn't function on the 2nd day and we had to reactivate it at the reception. Our toilet didn't flush/was blocked when we arrived. Even though it was apparently fixed we still had the problem throughout our stay. The room also smelled like there was a plumbing problem in the bathroom through our entire time there. The shower was level with the floor and the bathroom flooded daily after showering.

Very nice hotel.

When in a five star hotel, and with that price, it is expected to get a certain level of service. It is small details, and it was resolved quickly, but it is expected to be avoided in a first place. There is an espresso machine in the room, which is nice, but there was no coffe provided. One call, five minutes, it was resolved, but five stars, you know.. And then, in the shower, already wet, and one realises there is no body wash. Ok, one call, a bit more than five minutes. I am not a grumpy snob, in contrary, I am used to have this happening, but in a three star hotels where I usually stay. 🙃

Comfortable room, clean and quiet. Breakfast is superb with various food and beverages that could satisfy all tastes and health conditions. The location is also good, walking distance to the city center is 10 minutes.

Check-in at 15h and check-out at 12h. There should be flexibilities introduced, especially for the ones that travel by airfare, early arrival due to early morning flights, or late evening flights on departure. Also, the staff at Reception is not very friendly and pleasant.

Hotel is clean and quiet. Room was spacious and tidy. Really liked the bed and the pillows. Everything in the room worked as it should have and there were no issues.

There was no space on the outside parking (15€/day additional cost), so we had to park in the garage (20€/day). There was no charger for our electrical vehicle on the parking and I didn't see one in the garage either (receptionist said the charger dis not work). Wi-fi was free of charge, but it was unstable and dropping out all the time while in the room.

This trip was my first to Zagreb and the hotel gave more than my expectations. Kind and friendly staff (especially Diana Bar and housekeeping). Great breakfast with quality food. Location is very convenient and you can walk in 20 minutes max. to all must sees of Zagreb.

Spa area and swimming pool is outworn when compared to the hotel in general. The pool is not sufficent enough to swim for sports , maybe for fun only, but the area in general is so outworn that you may think everywhere is unsanitized.

The location is great, next to the city center. The breakfast had a good selection, both savory and sweet

The cleaning was poor. The housekeeping staff cleaned only parts of the apartment. One bed was made the other not. They entered the room without knocking, and when told not to come in, they just ignored and entered anyway to check the minibar. The pool area could benefit from some investment in comfy beds and not the hard wood ones with no mattress but some and pillows with no pillow case on. Not really what you expect from a 5 star hotel
