The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was very clean, the employees were very nice & the location was amazing.

If you want to brush your teeth or wash your face while getting ready you have to do it at a tiny sink that doesnt really have any place to put your toiletries or towel. The kitchen is very small in terms of places to sit and you have to eat upstairs in the lobby which is honestly a bit annoying. The dorm was good the only things that bothered me are that 1. the flooring is broken at some spots and needs to be fixed & 2. the cleaning lady came in every morning between 8:30-9:30 to make the beds for new guest after people had checked out. That made me feel very uncomfortable and I wish they would only start preparing the beds after the offical check-out time, it makes you feel like they want you to leave as soon as possible. Other than that everything was great.

Very good facilities, enough toilets and showers while still having many beds. Happy staff who are busy but always willing to help (shout out to the guy who had to break my padlock after it didn't open anymore)

Kitchen can be super busy around dinner time, catching the elevator can take very long as well (maybe refer more people to the stairs)

The location was very close to the tram & not far away from the Prague railway station. Most of the places worth visiting are at a walkable distance.

The men's toilets were unclean.

I liked the facility, the activities provided, the location.

I think some aspects of the facilities could be a little cleaner. It was hard navigating around the building. I found the showers hard to find.

Love everything, i get there before the check in hour and my room was ready so i could go inside inmediately, the rooms were big, mine had natural light, there's a space under the beds to save your luggage, there was a common area were you could eat or just chill, the staff were super nice all the time, there was toilettes inside and out of the rooms in case the one inside was occupied, and the kitchen was also a nice space. The location is a little far but you know this when you rent the room, i walked anyways and if i needed i could took the tram that is not expensive at all and that is just in front of the hostel.

I wasn't sure if they cleaned the room or the bathroom, i only saw a girl from the staff making the beds.

The beds were comfortable and clean. The light and ventilation that got into the room was brilliant and a massive change from my last hostel. Nice sitting area downstairs at reception as well as a small kitchen to leave purchased food. Good area, as you aren't too far from any shops, bars or restaurants.

My only fault has to be with the laundry facilities. My friend and I washed our white clothes and they ended up ruined with brown stains once they came out, the staff offered to re-wash them but to no avail and I wasn't offered a refund for my now binned clothes. If not for this the rating I would give would be higher.

Definitely would recommend to travel! The single room in the hostel had plenty of space and everything you could need. The building itself was really lovely, except with only one lift it was a little tiresome to climb the stairs. Shower was amazing and felt really comfortable staying here. A little bit out of Old Town and the big monuments but vey easy access to PT options.

The only thing that was disappointing was that the key card did continue malfunction and I would have to wait behind people checking in for a simple fix. Was a little frustrating but it’s a small thing!

I was surprised by the professionalism of the staff, their cheerful attitude to helping guests, their patience and decency when explaining and repeating the same details to the hundreds of people who must pass through Reception in any week during the Tourist season. The beds were wonderful - wonderfully white, crisp sheets. And the bunks were steel so they didn't squeak when people rolled over during the night. Housekeeping happened every day. Showers had concrete walls and floors and a limitless supply of very hot water. Basins were absolutely clean at all times of the day. The people who were staying at the Czech Inn were friendly and courteous to other guests. No one made any noise if they came into the room at 3am. People were surprisingly considerate. I congratulate these fellow travellers as much as the staff for their respect, friendliness and thoughtfulness in the way they shared their space in each of the rooms.

The Czech Inn is a little away from the tourist centre of Prague but frequent buses and trams deliver passengers to the METRO (Namesti Miru) and other trams and buses to travel anywhere in Prague and its suburbs. So, saying the Inn is a little way out is not a criticism as the area is well-serviced by public transportation.

I really liked the hospitality and the cleanliness of the place. It was quiet during night time (generally). The vibe in the bar downstairs was good. There is a shop in front of the place open almost 24 h. The tram stop is 1-2 minutes by walk.

It would've been nicer to organise the bed assignments because you just choose randomly and it's not sure whether the beds are free or not, but I didn't have any troubles (I got the upper bed). But generally, guests manage it so it's fine. The pans in the kitchen are quite old, not the best to cook with.

October 2023

It's a Hostel so it's not really good to try to rate a room when people are leaving and new people are arriving. However, the standard of the people sharing the room was very good because they were aware of other people's needs and minimised noise, light and movement late at night.

The room I was in was a little stuffy because one of the other lodgers didn't want the window open overnight. Maybe there needs to be a house rule to have windows open 5cm for air 24/7. Also, it would be a wonderful improvement if shower gel or soap was provided in the showers. It's a real problem to travel with gels in one's luggage. The showers and toilets were really clean and the crisp, clean, white bed sheets were a pleasure to crawl into. I'm an older man. I found it difficult to manage to climb down from the upper bunk bed each morning, trying not to fall and trying to be as quiet as possible. I'd be happy to pay extra to be allocated a lower bunk.
