The location is excellent. I stayed in a room with a balcony and sea view. The hotel just completed building a nice pool. It is a few stops to the beach. There were three very nice staff members there who were professional, Cesar, Kimberly and Carlos. Food I ordered from the kitchen when friends arrived was delicious.

The hotel required cash payments for the room. This was a huge inconvenience and quite odd since u had stayed here on twonprior occasions and paid with a credit card.. I had to go to the ATM machine to withdraw funds with several cards. Initially, the owner said they accepted credit card payments, and then minutes later, a staff member told me the owner said to only take cash payments. Another staff member verified that the owner indeed said this. I received multiple different answers as to why they took cash only. The electricity goes out often, but there is a backup system that works well.

Really enjoyed my short stay, was looking for something on the beach that was affordable. The hotel is that and more as they have their own pool. The area, within their compound, is quiet from those seeking the attention of tourists. There is a bar and breakfast but I did not make use of the restaurant even though they can prepare meals if requested in advance. The room was clean, there was TV, AC and I had a beachfront room so I could sit on the balcony and work. Wifi was reliable and I am certain if I had inquired the family would have assisted me as best possible within reason. For example, when I went on a swim to the beach they asked if a wanted a towel ad advised me not to leave anything outside the gated area or risk loosing it.

Nothing. It is family run and they were excellent, I will return.

The place was excellent, great location off the beach I mean 100 ft from your room. It was clean, staff was amazing making sure your time there was pleasant and wonderful. Even the water in shower was hot. It’s nothing I can say bad about this place. The manager speaks fluent English and keep the place clean. If I’m ever back in Boca Chica this is my home away from home. If

It’s not the Sheraton or Hilton. But it’s very clean and staff was great. But you not paying Sheraton or Hilton money either.

Hotel Zapata a true gem in Boca Chica. The interior design of the courtyard is simple elegant and tasteful. The plants location and placement is like a zen garden! The lobby is stunning! There is an outdoor bar, coffee place where you can get your drinks all day long. The staff is incredible friendly and helpful. Cesare was my favorite who assisted with my personal request. Next door there is amazing restaurant. We dine there every evening. Their paella is the best I have ever tasted.

We always come here at least twice a year. The location is great, best beach in Boca Chica, next to the public beach which is usually pretty empty. The new owners are going strong on improving the property. 👍 It's a great place, the staff is awesome, rooms are clean. We live in NJ and Santo Domingo, when we are on the island we make sure to visit. Muy Bien 👍

Simple, but it outdid all the other big hotels I stayed at in the same area. The staff was very nice, especially Kimberly who works at the Front Desk. Very accommodating and always there to assist. My original plan was to move and see other places, but I likes so much that I stayed. Truly recommend anyone else to stay at this place if you are looking for something simple, but still nice and safe!

The hotel is cozy, need adaptation but it is nice and clean. Outside sitting area is under roof but outside with garden, the bar area and sunbeds also need adaptation. Parking available right outside the property. Hotel is locked towards the street, and guard located on beach front side. The hotel staff is kind and some of them can speak basic English. We stayed for 2 nights in a beachfront standard room with sea view with one French bed and one bed for children (room for 2 adults and one child). The room was spacious enough for 2 persons. Flat TV offering satellite channels. A/C included and there was also a fan on the sealing (old fashion and loud but good alternative if you want to avoid A/C). Balcony with sea view but also pigeons everywhere on the roof in front of the balcony. Bed was OK for 2 nights stay.

The buildings on each side of the hotel are like ruins, there are lots of pigeons, litter everywhere as soon as you leave the hotel premises. WiFi lousy during our stay, we were not able to use it at all. The surrounding area is also dirty, poor and we felt very unsafe walking walking on the streets. Bathroom was small and the towels and linen had stains. There was no cleaning of the room during our stay. Basic breakfast, eggs and bread, juice and coffee - bonsai breakfast, not enough even for person who eats very little.

Great location - beach front. Friendly staff always ready to help, for instance, bringing the sun lounger right to the beach :) The attached photo made on the hotel beach territory.

Rooms with windows to the street could be noisy. Definitely take the see view rooms.

Excellent location and the staff is amazing, the facilities are not what you go there for so don’t expect 5 stars but maybe 3 stars establishment. But there is a fabulous restaurant and beach club next door that makes it all worth it and the hotel beach is unbelievable.

Beautiful location right on the Beach, good shower 🚿 and overall very clean and comfortable with helpful staff.

Not the problem of the hotel but be wary of the guys right in front of the hotel telling you you need to pay to park there. Overall very good.
