Quiet location at the western end of Playa Bonita. Beautiful, well-maintained property in whitewashed Caribbean style with immaculate grounds. We had the Granada suite with massive double bed on the second floor of the main building, with stunning direct sea views and dual aspect windows (you can watch the sea from your bath!). No beach to speak of, but plenty of sun loungers on the lawns beneath palm trees for sunbathing. It does get very windy, but if you follow the coastal path westwards for 10 minutes round Punta Bonita you arrive at the broad sweep of Playa Coson, with a wide golden sand beach stretching for several kilometres, backed by luxury villas and a couple of posh resorts but little else (take your own towels, food and drink etc). Staff at Atlantis were all amazing, friendly, helpful and smiling - especially Naomi on the front desk. Restaurant serves great food in large portions - however the inclusive breakfast is a little underwhelming for the cost of the rooms; it’s basically continental, i.e. brioche, toast, juice, jam, tea/coffee. Any extras such as eggs are charegeable. But that fact did not detract too much from our wonderful stay in paradise. We will be back one day. Thank you

This was a last minute booking as our flight from Samana was cancelled and rebooked for the next day. We only dealt with one staff member really, while we were checking in. She was absolutely amazing! We were obviously stressed and tired from our day and she made the check-in process seamless. She also go everything set for our check-out the next morning as we were leaving at 6:00am. We has an issue with the AC in our room, we couldn't get it to work. She came over and after also not being able to get it to work she offered to move us to another room and helped us with our baggage. This all seems like basic things, but after the day we had we really appreciated it. Overall we love the warm welcoming vibe of the resort! I would love to go back and checkout the resort and area more.

The only thing that could have been better was for our AC to work in our original room. This was quickly rectified though and we moved to another room with wonderful working AC.

We stayed one week at hotel Atlantis with our toddler. Although the hotel doesn't have direct beach access it's only a short walk to one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. The hotel is really nice, great food and perfect location. Keep in mind that the rooms are maybe little outdated but we really loved it and would stay here again.

The Hotel Atlantis is 📍located along Punta Bonita, in Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic. With a picturesque backdrop of golden sands and palm trees 🌴. The hotel features 18 rooms and independent bungalows, with curves instead of corners, and whitewashed walls, invaded by climbing plants, just paces from the sea 🌊. At the Atlantis, meals are served everywhere. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, sarongs, and sunscreen for long lunches in the shade of the thatched roof beach hut by the sea, or the stylish atmosphere of the terrace. The service was exceptional! The entrance is a little hard to find, especially at night after driving several hours from Santo Domingo. We drove past several times before deciding to call and get directions from the hostess. The hostess patiently provided us with directions and, upon arrival, was also the one that checked us in and showed us to our room. With a chilled bottle of Cava waiting! Moreover, it was late into the evening when we arrived, and of course, we hadn’t made a dinner reservation. The restaurant was fully booked, but instead of turning us away, they fit us in and just said there would be a wait for the food. We ordered and then took our drinks and strolled along the beach while we waited. There were also two instances in which I wanted to grab coffee and cocktails from the restaurant and take them back to our private terrace to enjoy. Without hesitation, or some BS hotel excuse of – “we have to bring it to you,” or “you can’t take our glassware out of here,” they provided me with exactly what I asked. They even let me borrow their server tray! The staff at the hotel makes it beyond easy to stay with them! And makes it a place I would be keen on visiting again.

The staff was attentive, professional and very helpful at all times. Naome, the manager was so kind and generous with her time. The wait staff was fabulous, funny and professional; Wendy, Madelaine, Johan, and others were wonderful

The Wifi wasn't great.

Beautiful hotel, right at the beach front and with a truly excellent restaurant and charming staff. The rooms are tidy, cute and decorated with taste, hot water was always available (contrary to many other hotels where we stayed)

The breakfast was a bit disappointing for the price - most items that are included elsewhere had to be paid for as a addition (eggs, fruit, cheese)

Cute rooms with very nicely appointed bathrooms (including French toiletries). The restaurant is delicious. Beautiful beach with a sidewalk along one length of it. Very kind and gracious staff.

The water comes right up to the wall at this beach, but it is centrally located. But this is not really a negative, as if you walk one direction you find waves and the other direction leads to crystal clear blue water and snorkeling.

This hotel has X factor. It's special. It's the most amazing property, with so many palm trees and sooo close to the water. The food was wonderful. It's so perfectly located at the end of a small strip of restaurants, etc. It's gorgeous and laid back. It's cozy.

The beds aren't extremely comfortable. At first I was upgraded to an amazing room for 2 nights because it was available, and they didn't charge the upgrade. The room I booked had an incredible view but it was small and only had a rocking chair to sit in other than the bed. My main concern though was that I am obsessed with quiet and although this property is very quiet, next to the hotel sits a restaurant that has music that I could hear quite easily (because my room happened to be situated right next to the restaurant.) They stop the music by 10 or 10:30, and it wasn't playing at all a few days when the weather wasn't perfect, but still this was really my only concern with the hotel.

Nice boutique hotel right on the beach. Beach access from adjacent property. Beautiful Playa Bonita beach. Staff is really nice.

No beach access in front of the hotel. Spent the beach time at the other end of Playa Bonita but no beach chairs available to rent. The free continental breakfast only includes coffee, tea, juice, toast and jam. Everything else is extra so not really a continental breakfast.

This is a very quaint jewel of a hotel, each room is different and the architecture is whimsical. The location is perfect, with a lawn and chairs directly in front of the ocean, with the public trail to Punta Bonita passing through. You can access several swimming and surfing spots as well as all the nearby beachfront bars and restaurants without seeing any cars or roads. The food in the restaurant is AMAZING, French technique with beautiful Dominican ingredients, three of the best meals we had in DR. Staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. Outstanding value.
