Really friendly an helpfully Employee. Rooms were clean and in a good condition. Breakfast also really good with a nice view.

I think the Hotel is in a good Area (near to all Sightseeings) but I was attacked in front of the Hotel from 2 People with knifes at 8PM.

What an amazing place. Great location, great staff, fantastic breakfasts which were varied and delicious. Lovely clean and comfortable rooms. We used this hotel as a base to come back to after travels throughout Ecuador. It was no trouble for the hotel to store our luggage and our luggage was allways allready in our room on our return each time. What excellent service. Staff very knowledgeable and helpful regards tours and transfers and recommended places to eat. We arranged a number of tours and transport through the hotel and happy with all. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Special thanks to Yale, Mariano, Henry, Christopher, Juanito and Don.

We liked everything!!

One of the best overall places I've ever stayed on earth!! The room was amazing. The wifi was great! I'm a college student, so wifi was important and it met my needs. The breakfast and staff were outstanding. I really liked also that I could book day trips from the front desk! Like check this out....when I booked, I booked also because the description said it had a refridgerator in the room....well there wasn't one and I showed them the description on Booking.com and what did they do? They went and bought a brand new refrigerator for the room! Unheard of in todays world. Great Great Great place to stay!!

There was nothing that I didn't like! I'm being completely honest. There was nothing wrong with Friends Hotel & Rooftop.

Cannot recommend this hotel enough! Our entire group was very pleased with our stay, and would certainly book again if we return to Quito. The staff were exceptionally helpful, from arranging car transportation to recommending nearby restaurants. The breakfast was some of the best we have ever had and all our rooms were clean and comfortable. Location is in short walking distance to everything we visited in the historic center. We also loved that the hotel had a nice Ecuadorian feel to it...far above a standard place!

Friends and Rooftop Hotel is such a fitting name! I was greeted by the friendliest staff who made me feel home immediately. My room was lovely and clean, my bed extremely comfortable with the most luxurious linens and enough pillows to allow even the most picky sleeper to find one to suit. The shower was excellent with a strong showerhead and plenty of hot water. The location was in walking distance of all the historical sights and the staff could arrange specialty tours and call for taxis at a moment's notice. I cannot stress enough how friendly the staff, making me feel like a friend the moment I arrived.

Friendly, welcoming and efficient staff. Quiet, central location, many attractions nearby, hotel decoration, laundry rate, breakfast. Nearby parking at very reasonable rates while hotel parking is small, limited and very costly.

The room is not comfortable: a stair down from the main door inside the room and another high stair up into the bathroom. No hot water in the sink. No stand to put the bag on An unexpected service charge that was not mentioned on the booking.com reservation note.

Great location. Helpful staff. Breakfast included was good (fruit and pancakes or eggs with coffee & juice) on nice rooftop. Plenty of pillows and comfortable bed. Room had Netflix on TV too. Water inside room was a nice touch. Hanging space in wardrobe was useful!

Shower head was poor - gave a ring of water which made it hard to wash your hair. Noise from outside room (from other guests inside hotel) woke us up a few times!!

The staff was really friendly, helpful, and appreciated the guests. When we arrived, we were welcomed with a nice sign with our name on it! :) Location is central to old town, easy access to many restaurants and shops. Rooms are comfortable, and breakfast in the terrace was great! Can't beat starting your day with some of the freshest and best tasting fruit you'll ever eat in your life! As others have mentioned, be prepared to walk up a few stairs - it's an old colonial building, but the twists and turns of the staircase hide beautiful art, tastefully placed to give you a glimpse of the past and present of Ecuador...male the most of your journey.

Nothing, everything was great! Even with electricity restrictions, the team made sure everything was perfect for guests, which was appreciated.

The staff, location, and breakfast were wonderful. The staff (Yale, Edel, Jose, and Jonathan) were the highlight of our stay at this hotel. They were so accommodating, polite and extremely patient with our requests. They provided all the tours at a reasonable price as well.

The hotel has many uneven steps. It can be extremely problematic for someone who is challenged mobily or for someone who is not physically able to climb so many steps. Also, the rooms/walls are not insulated so sound carries throughout the hotel. Many a nights I was woken by hotel guest coming and going, and conversations being had in the hallways. It's a very old building so it's to be expected although I would have liked to know prior to booking. This hotel was a hostel pre pandemic. Wish the hotel restaurant offered more than just breakfast. Would have been nice to have a place to relax with snacks, and beverages after a long day of sightseeing. Coffee & tea/water should be offered 24-hours a day.

Everything about this hotel is great! The location is wonderful. It’s a short 2 block walk to the independent square and a 10 minute walk to Basilica del Voto Nacional. The hotel is on a walking street with some great restaurants. The bed was extremely comfortable, the showers were hot, the breakfast was great and the views of the city were incredible. We were also surprised there was a smart tv in the room, which isn’t necessary but was nice to relax with at the end of the day. We did venture out at night for dinner and drinks while we were here and felt completely safe (though we were back inside by 8-8:30 which is why the tv was nice) The staff is wonderful. Great suggestions for restaurants and activities and good conversations.
