First of all, I'd like to thank Hussein for hospitality and help. He arranged our transfer from airport to the hotel and back to Cairo where we went after Giza. Hussein also arranged our one-day trip to Alexandria and gave some advices what we could see during such a short trip. Before visiting Pyramids he told us what we should not do to avoid harassment from "local guides". The hotel is located on a small side street in a five-storey building and can be easily found. Good security – each guest has a key from entrance gates. No bad smells from street or traffic noise. Sometimes you may hear cats or dogs in the mornings but for us it was not an issue. We stayed for 3 days in December in room 403 on the 4th floor. The room was clean and comfortable with very good bed and pillows. There was a boiler in the bathroom so no problems with hot water. Good breakfast was served on the rooftop with magnificent view of Pyramids and Great Sphinx. A lot of souvenir shops, café and restaurants nearby but be aware that none of them served alcohol. I can definitely recommend Royal Pyramids Inn for stay while visiting Giza.

Great Airport Pick-up from the Hotel for 400EGP plus 30-50EGP Tip for driver. The place is in a small side street in a private secured 5store house. From the roof top you have view to the pyramids. Up there they serve also the morning breakfast. The Royal Inn is run by 3 brothers and their wifes so you feel like in big family👍🥰 A great sunsine you have at the roof top. The owners are extremely polite and courteous they help you also with tours to book. Rambo helped us with ATV/Quad Sunset Tour. The room will be cleaned by request. The WIFI in the room was fast. You are at walking distance from the Pyramids Entrance (Ticket 240EGP for tourists and 40EGP for locals). Lot's of local offering trips or activities like horse or camel riding behind the house or inside the Pyramids also ATV/Quad bikes (advice to negotiate the prices f.e. 1hour horse or camel riding they may ask you 350 --> 500EGP per person and you may get it for 150 - 250EGP per hour/person). Those who like to try egyptian cuisine you can find a lot after or near the big road. Also Indian and some European restaurant. Taxis and private cars also avalable near by to rent included driver: Daily Price about 1000EGP = 40USD for 6 - 8hours to visit Cairo. We come back again Rene and Liz IG: renepeter57 👍🥰
Sometimes you hear some cats or near by dogs and in the mornings horses but NO CARS because it is in small side street...but cats dogs and horses are normal in this aera🥰

I wasn’t expecting a 5 star hotel but I couldn’t be any happier with the place. The room had 2 good sized beds and a sofa bed which accommodated the 5 of us (2 adults 3 children) the welcome from the staff was warm and we were given our room, fresh bottles of water and set up with WI-FI. I wanted to get some food and snacks from around and Rambo walked me round to a Pizza Hut and convenience shop for extra snacks. The room was very nice with TV, fridge, great Air Con and Balcony. The roof terrace was the crown jewel where we sat and ate our dinner and watched the light show on the 3 pyramids as close as you can get. What an absolute jaw dropping experience and very relaxed casual and friendly. I was also arranged a cheap taxi to the airport in the morning with a wake up call. Would love to go back in a heartbeat. Thanks again Rambo for your kindness and hospitality.
Honestly nothing I would change

We loved our stay at Royal Pyramids Inn. The room is spacious with everything you need for your stay, including a kettle, which is not always common in Egypt. The bathroom had the best shower we've had in Egypt with hot water and good pressure. The bed is extremely comfortable, and the Wi-fi is stable. The location is perfect (just 2 minutes walk to the pyramids entry point) and the view from the terrace is spectacular - especially at sunrise and sunset. Hussein is a wonderful host (as are all the staff there) - nice to talk to and very friendly. He helped us organise a driver to go to Saqqara for a good price, and everything went smoothly. If we ever came back to Giza, this is the only place we'd stay. We recommend it to everyone.

The location is perfect, it's 2 mins walk from the pyramids. We can see the entire light and sound show from the terrace. The inn itself is hard to find but a quick call helped. The host Hussein is very knowledgeable and helpful. Beds are comfortable and the breakfast is sumptuous too.

Fabolous service from Mr. Husein. We felt like at home at the hotel. Perfect situated in front of the pyramids. The breakfast was nice and good. Plenty of food and drink. The room was nice. Quiet, we had no problem sleeping. The hotel helped us with private tours. We can strongly recommend this. A day tp see the pyramids of Giza, Daffur and Sakkara. And a day to see the citadel, the koptic cairo and the Egyptian museum and market Khan el-khalili. The guide and driver was so good and we had the 2 most wonderful days. We can only recommend a stay at this hotel. I hope to come back one day.

The staff were so friendly and nice. The family served you breakfast in the morning and are so polite. You got right to the top and look over all the pyramids, you can see tour groups with camels and horses and buses. It's nice and quiet you can't hear the noise of the street and despite the stairs the staff take your luggage which is nice :)
They tried to get us to book 2 rooms, despite having my marriage certificate. Luckily my husband spoke Arabic and was able to talk to them and we managed to just stay in our room. So definitely bring hard copies or copies and make sure to get them verified. Maybe I didn't get the times but I never saw the light show and I paid extra for a view but I had to go right out in the balcony and only saw a pyramid as they have built buildings since photo's have been taken.

Hussein was a most pleasant and helpful host. He and the rest of the staff were very accomadating and friendly. They were all just looking out to make sure my stay was as pleasureable as possible. The view from the roof top terrace of the pryamids and the Sphinx was incredible.
The area of the hotel was very run down, but that is just like Cairo in general. Also, like the rest of Egypt, every time you stepped out the door and tried to go for a walk, you are constantly hassled for either souvinirs, taxi rides etc etc. It really puts you off going outside. The local people are very pushy and dont seem to understand the word No. When you have arranged a price for anything they always expect more and push for it, very off putting.

The view from the rooms is nothing special but the view from the roof is great and u can spend there all day if u want. I loved sitting there and watching the Pyramids every morning and every evening. The Pyramids are so cute, i already miss them. The breakfast is simple but yummi. The location around the hotel is very noisy but u dont hear that in the rooms or the rooftop so u have your chilltime all day and night. The pyramids entrance is just 150m walk from the hotel.
The noisy and drity streets in this area and all the sellers who follow u r a pain in the... :D Just ignore them, dont answer any questions, then u will probably not be followed. If you want to have healthy snacks like fruit and nuts or any healthy thing u better bring it because in the area u only get junkfood like chips in the shops. Or u just ask the staff there to go shopping for u, this u pay ofcourse :)
