Excellent location for a pyramid view. Owners mother who does the cooking was fantastic with us. My wife has a bad food allergy. She was able to provide her with specially prepared breakfast containing no pepper. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Room had a great view of the light show at night.

The room was not cleaned while we were there. We were there for 3 days. As we always say you pay the same for the first night that you do for the last so the standards should remain throughout. No fresh towels or refills on shampoo or shower gel. Not big things just refinements

Great place to visit and have an “intense” look at the pyramids. Friendly staff. Especially breakfast mama. She made all items her self. Her home made eggplant jam (first ever) was 10/10.

Me and my sister recently had the pleasure of staying at this family-run hotel and we was thoroughly impressed by the level of service provided. From the moment we arrived, we was greeted with a warm welcome and made to feel right at home. The family who run the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful, and always went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The rooms were immaculately clean and well-maintained, with all of the amenities we needed to feel right at home and the hotel itself had a cozy and inviting atmosphere. What really set this hotel apart, was the exceptional service provided by the family who run it. They were always available to answer any questions we had, and were more than happy to provide recommendations for things to do and see in the local area. Overall, we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. If you're looking for a comfortable and memorable stay with exceptional service and delicious food, look no further than this family-run gem.

Home made vegetarian breakfast, falafel, home made jams and beans, made with pride by mother . Jimmy the owner was fantastic and set up our Giza tour with an excellent guide, "Tito" formerly of the Cairo Museum and the Metropolitan Museum in New York. He's not only a guide but takes you on a literal history tour starting with the early Pyramids culminating on the Giza platform where everything falls into place

Giza is a friendly developing town with lots of hustle. It's difficult to blend with the locals so you are going to get approached a lot but it is what it is

Every single member of staff we met at the property were very accommodating and wanted to help whenever they could. Jimmy organised an amazing two-day tour around Saqqara, Giza, Cairo Museum and Old Cairo with his uncle, Tito, who was a charismatic expert in Egyptology, and for a fair price. The family also helped us to sort out so much more which we are very thankful for. The food which is made fresh everyday by Halla, was also excellent, especially the falafel’s which were best in all of Giza and Cairo. The view was perfect from the roof top as you could really feel the majesty of the pyramids, and how imposing they are.

The shower was a little bit dodgy but nothing too bad. Also it can be a bit noisy outside the hotel but this should be expected as you are in real Giza

This is a family business hotel! Everybody is very helpful and friendly. To be honest this was the only place during my stay in Cairo that made me feel safe. The boys (jimmy senior and jimmy junior) were always ready to help. Jimmy mama makes delicious food. Ana is the simply the best. If you have any concern, she is ready to help and listen. Jimmy senior is a great guy, he helps you with everything you need. Before going to the hotel I was concerned about the reviews I have read. But to be honest I don’t have anything to complain about the property itself. You pay for what you ask for. There is no surprise charges. If you don’t ask for anything, there is nothing to pay. Simple like that. Housekeeping is not allowed to go to the room if you are not there, for safety. So if you need room cleaning ask in the reception when you are chilling in the room.

The location is a bit weird but everywhere near the pyramids is like that. Just make sure that when you go out, you are ready to face the people outside.

Had delicious traditional meals at the Roof top restaurant with an amazing view of the Pyramids.The family has a great knowledge of history around the Pyramids and Giza. It felt like we were home with the kind of hospitality we received from them. Super happy with the stay. Would go back and stay there for longer period. Thank you Mo Jimmy, Ahmed and Family! We feel like we now have a new family in Giza!!

What a view! The Sphinx Golden Gate Pyramids is located perfectly in Giza. It’s pretty quite at night (which we found to be a bit of a rarity in Egypt) and the rooftop is just superb. We had initially booked a pyramid view room but on arrival Jimmy told us that there was an issue with the room we’d booked. While this was quite disappointing at first, Jimmy kindly offer us two options (including a separate hotel he has just opened which would have a view in the room) and a room at a cheaper rate (with a city view). He was very helpful and keen to ensure we were happy with our choices. Before we decided Jimmy took us to the rooftop and we were sold on staying at the Golden Sphinx. Our room itself was great. It was clean, comfy bed, good facilities and the wifi was good - much better than most of the other places we had stayed throughout our trip. Jimmy and his team were incredibly helpful and friendly - we opted to have lunch and dinner at the hotel and these were both lovely. We also booked an airport transfer with Jimmy which was well priced and on time. Would absolutely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Food and water were a bit pricier than what we’d experienced elsewhere in Egypt but suspect this is the usual rates for the area.
