The hotel itself is a great mix of casual and upscale. Furnishings were nice. Bathrooms are spacious and nice as well.

The hallways seemed louder than normal - like doors opening and closing seemed oddly loud. People themselves were not loud so idk if it's the acoustics or what but yeah I woke up a few times. Bathroom lighting was pretty horrible for makeup application.

This Holiday Inn stands at the top end of Brooklyn, and is very handy for several lines into Manhattan and other parts of Brooklyn (I was making regular trips up to Greenpoint, so that was an important consideration). The room was good, quiet and cool, with a particularly nice bathroom and some great 13th floor views - I could salute Liberty every night before I turned in. There is a pool in the basement level, and it was lovely to swim every morning before the frantic activities of the day began. A lot of good breakfast places nearby for that schmear to start your day.

The behaviour of some of the other guests left a little to be desired - do you need to be yelling in the corridors? And smoking weed is best done somewhere else, not in a hotel. Not a criticism of the hotel per se, but some 'stricter guidelines' might not go amiss.

The staff was very friendly/helpful. The hotel is nice but outdated, and the furniture and drapes are old/worn. For the rates being charged, I expected better. The restaurant on site was awesome. We ate there several times. All things considered, I would not stay there again.

Didn't like the fire alarm going off twice just before midnight (false alarm). The ice machine didn't work on our floor. I'm not sure if the parking is part of the hotel, but the staff wasn't overly helpful. Also, the cost of the parking is entirely too expensive.

The room was clean, albeit small - the chair by the desk needed to be thrown away as the faux leather material was peeling badly. The bathroom was decent enough, although the hand wash needed to be replaced and they only gave me one towel. The lotion is very cheap and dries your skin out more than it helps. The bedding was clean and the pillows were super comfortable! Washers and dryers are free for guests. Hotel is centrally located between Albee Square Mall and Atlantic Center. A/C Hoyt and Schermerhorn stop is a block and a half away. I had a very enjoyable stay.

There are people who do not adhere to the rules and smoke weed in their rooms. I was on the 7th floor and you could smell it as you walked the hallways. Communal microwave in the lobby was dirty and needed to be cleaned.

Great location, easy access to the subway with direct lines around Brooklyn and into Manhattan. The pool, hot tub, sauna, and steam room were a lovely bonus after long days of sightseeing!

The facilities and rooms are a bit run down. Hotel staff was friendly and accessible, but the contracted support services were not responsive (we had requested extra towels which were never delivered; when we follow up with the front desk they were shocked to hear the request had not been completed). Otherwise, great value!

Location! Location! Location! A mere .5 miles from Barclays, about 2 blocks. It was perfect and safe! Great food all around as well, including the restaurant attached to the hotel. Also loved the area off the lobby where everyone congregated to work, hangout, eat, etc. Very well-lit and cozy The shower had excellent water pressure and brand name products to use as well. Holiday Inn beds have always been my fave and this hotel was no exception. I slept like a baby and was so refreshed when I woke up! There's even a Keurig in the room for coffee and tea if you don't want to get any. And a fridge is in the room too

They don't let you tap to pay for your room. I had lost my debit card 2 days before coming and it was a hassle trying to find a way to pay. Also, the temperature controls were almost completely hidden by the closet/armoire. Thank God I finally found them

Very convenient location, staff were friendly. Bed was nice and comfy. Wasn’t too loud. Didn’t really stay in the actual hotel much but would stay again. Let us do a late check out until 2. Never had the food at the restaurant but our friends did and said it was awesome

Only thing is we checked the prices on the hotels website and booking the day before we were going to check in and the price was significantly cheaper and never heard anything from booking when we contacted them to price match. That’s not on the hotel though. Rooms are a little small and so is shower but it’s New York.

The location is convenient, close to subway station, many options to eat out, and shopping. The room is clean and housekeeping was on every day basis. The staff at the front desk was helpful and responsive to our needs

The breakfast is at a restaurant on the ground level at the hotel. We had the option to choose from specific part of the menu. The options was not that great and the quality is not either. The service at restaurant was bad and rude sometimes. Tips was added to the bill and I have to pay it weather I like it or not even though I didn't like their service. If I knew about this arrangement I would've booked the room without breakfast and had it at a restaurant of my choice since there was many with better menu and service in the neighborhood. The room had one the new coffee makers that uses special kind of coffee capsules. As a tea drinker, that was inconvenience. I would've prefer having a kettle or the old fashion coffee maker
