Kauppi is a really nice small scale hotel that had everything I needed. The staff were friendly and smiling. The room was big enough and I liked that there was a fridge that wasn't filled with overpriced drinks - I could actually use it for my own stuff. I also enjoyed the breakfast. It wasn't crazy big, but I had no trouble getting my belly full. I didn't use the pool, but I did use the sauna, which was available between 19:00 and 22:00. The absolute best thing for me was how quiet the place is. I'm a really light sleeper and often have trouble sleeping. I can't even remember when was the last time I slept so well!

Nothing really, but if I had to nitpick something, the location is not the prettiest as it is next to a gas station. It's not right in the city center, but that didn't bother me. It's still within a walking distance. The nearest tram stop is even closer and the local public transport app is very easy to use. The breakfast could be improved by offering decaffeinated coffee.

Staff very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Hotel is modern and very clean. Very good sized room with fridge, microwave, tea, coffee making etc. Sauna and pool fantastic. Buffet breakfast selection and quality we're superb and staff kept up the stock of items. Impressed. Quiet location on North East edge of Tampere. Not central but this was fine for us as number 11 bus (to train station) right outside, number 2 bus stops to Rajaportti Folk Spa or City centre 4 minutes walk away and tram stop 10 minutes walk. Also Tampere is a very walkable city anyway. Hotel had free city maps and room had magazine guide to the city. A wonderful hotel experience!

Nothing really although worth the hotel extending manned reception hours on weekend if possible. (Currently open 6am-6pm weekdays and open 7.30am weekends, although there is a 24 hour phone reception number)

The staff was great. They helped me with all my needs. The breakfast was rich and plentiful. The area around the hotel was beautiful. Great places to walk. There is a bus in front of the hotel that takes you to town and the train station. The best part was the swimming pool in the basement. Very quiet and relaxing.

They’re few restaurants near the hotel. Without a car you have to get into town by walking or take a bus. There is a market near by for food that you can heat up in the microwave.

Bathroom badly needs renovation. The tiles are somewhat grimy and the paint of the door has chipped away badly. Towels have no loops to hang from the towel hooks. They use really old key type for the room locks, easy and cheap to copy The hook part of the door latch was broken so couldn't even latch the door when inside the room

The staff is very pragmatic, they had arranged for getting in with a code, and receipt of the keys without their presence (I arrived about 1am). The room is simple, and clean. Breakfast has many of the continental breakfast, with the addition of a few Finnish specialties (various cheese, marinated fish, ...). WiFi stable and reliable.

The building shows its age in terms of arrangements and facilities. It is located 20 minutes walking distance from the center, which is nonetheless very nice when sunny.

While located about a 20-25 minute walk from the centre of town, it is relatively closer to the train station. The hotel is in a quiet part of town, which is mainly residential. It is clean and comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful. My room was also comfortable. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices. The pool and sauna are open for guests in the evenings and are clean and tidy. Good value.

Staff were still in reception when I turned up 30 minutes past the time reception is said to close. The room was spacious and very clean, even if only cleaned on request if staying for more than one night.

Whilst nice the breakfast selection wasn't the biggest. Could have been a bit closer to the centre.

Another spotlessly clean hotel. Staff were very helpful and kind. Breakfast was good. The swimming pool and sauna were excellent. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the centre. The city is easy to explore on foot. The hotel is quiet. The location made my onward journey very easy to get on to the main roads when I left Tampere.

Comfortably ordinary hotel to sleep in a very clean and safe place! Peaceful surroundings, looks perhaps a bit shabby from outside but don't let that mislead you: it is a perfect place for a short stay!

Of course the location could be more central, on the other hand the outdoor options are good.

The room was spacious for a twin room, also the breakfast was really good and the room was clean. The room would have been very quiet, if there hadn't been a barking dog next door (we had a joining door, that let the noise throught). We also had a dog with us and liked that we were located next to the breakfast room, so that we would have heard if our dog would have made any noise. Also the animal rooms were on the first floor, so it was easy to go out.
