If you need and have the time, or your travels otherwise bring you to this neighborhood, the Jumbo complex where Flamingo is located is a great place with lots to offer. Restaurants, shopping and activities. The hotel itself is kind of basic: nothing too fancy but gets the job well done. The spa of course is a nice thing should you have the time to visit it. Slept well and peacefully, the breakfast had plenty of fresh fruits and normal greasy or less greasy options. Free parking for 24h for the guest. There are free parking available in the complex elsewhere, though.

You might have to wander/walk quite a bit in the building to get to your room - depending on the room of course. The rooms can be a bit worn, as the hotel is already 10-15 years old and not yet refurbished- I think?

The hotel is very easy to reach by bus lines 562 and 570 which run every 10 to 20 mins from the airport, the ride takes less than 10 mins, tickets from the machine, the R-kioski or simply from the bus app "hsl". The busses stop close to the hotel/shopping mall called Jumbo. The beds are rather firm for those who like that. If someone needs a soft bed, you better book one of the superior rooms with queensize-beds.

Breakfast was good and a nice variety, but could change a bit more if you stay a week there.

Hotel is connected with shopping center with plenty of places to have a dinner - so very convenient, especially when weather is ugly.

Check-in procedure. They serve SOKOS loyalty members first. It's OK to provide benefits for loyalty program members, but I am also not a piece of garbage to stand and wait while you are serving 10 people who came after me. It has to be more balanced, I should not wait more than certain amount of time

Really convenient Hotel close to Helsinki Airport. Jumbo shopping centre is right next door over the escalator. Good selection of restaurants in the complex next to the Hotel. Ristorante Il Siciliano has excellent Pizza and I got a great Calzone again!

My only criticism is that the rooms are set at 21.5 C and can feel a bit chilly. I tried numerous times to put the heat up but no luck, it jut goes back to 21.5.

The staff were really nice and the room was spacious. The hotel is located in a very good spot within the shopping & entertainment center. The breakfast staff are super welcoming!

View from the window wasn't pleasant, ours was facing a parking lot. Also the self check-in proved just waste of time, since it only allowed check-in for one of the two booked rooms and we had to go to counter for the breakfast tickets anyway...no idea why this option even exists at this hotel then. Also, despite of changing the remote control, it did not work and we were not able to switch on/watch tv.

Fashionable interior design. The location in the shopping mall is really convenient when it's -20C outside! The water park next door was great fun. The check in for the parking was efficient and the lighting in the room was really nice.

The shower could have been cleaner. The grout wasn't really clean at the bottom. And the material they chose for the floor wasn't very cozy as it was like a plastic outdoor rug.

The location is in a shopping centre just outside the airport, so there's only the hotel, spa and shopping centre on site. Anything else is really a taxi or bus ride away. Taxis are expensive, expect to pay Euro 18.00 or more for a 3km ride to / from the airport (the local bus is available for Euro 3).

It is not my first ime at Flamingo and I like very much the position close to the airport, and the breakfast. This time I could not operate the heat, beacuse it seemed not to work, but I did not have time to call the reception to make them fix it.

The control of the heat seemed not to work properly, I could not raise the temperature of my room, and I did not have time to report this issue to the reception guys.

There were so many activities to fill my days with. I loved the pools, the convenience of check in, the fact that everything was right there and I didn't have to go out in the cold. So many restaurants to choose from!

There was a bit of a hold up when I got there. So many people all checking in at the same time. It felt a bit chaotic.

The hotel is perfectly located for a transit stay, close to the airport. Also there is lots to do in the entertainment centre/shopping mall in which the hotel is located: mini golf, bowling, aquapark, adults only spa, many restaurants, shopping, etc. We enjoyed most of these facilities with my younger daughter. Parking is free. Buffet breakfast is really good, included in the price. Staff is very friendly.

The later breakfast time slots book out really quickly, so make sure to ask for your preferred time slot as early as possible. The location is not beautiful, between the airport and main highways (so there is traffic noise in rooms on lower floors), but it is practical. Check-in time at the hotel can be chaotic and take long if you come at the start of the check-in time.
