Location and room size

After staying there for 3 nights ,We wanted to extend our stay another 5 days but the front desk person wasn’t helpful at all and quoted us some ridiculous rate and kept saying they are very busy and hotel is booked and reservation desk has gone home .We went on a booking website and were able to book and extend our stay there for the next 5 days and got to stay in the same room without having to move rooms unlike the front desk staff had told us we may have too. It was so unfortunate that he treated us that way when we already were there for the previous 3 nights, we’re good guests w no issues. I believe he needs some extra training in customer care. Very disappointing

I loved the breakfast choices. There was an extensive range available. The lady who showed us to our table each morning was also lovely! The room was spacious with a comfy armchair as well as the usual desk chair. The shower was large and the hot water was always plentiful. The staff on the main desk were very helpful and always willing to switch to English when my German wasn't up to it!

The dinner menu was a little bit limited for myself as a vegetarian. We would have liked to eat in more often but the choice was too limited for me. What I did have was very nice, but I would have liked a bigger choice.

The hotel is nicely decorated and modern with good facilities. The staff in the restaurant and the bar were exceptional, very attentive and professional! The food offerings on the menu were also delicious. Breakfast was equally ample.

The staff in the reception could be a bit more "enthusiastic". Furthermore, we had a room with a sofa bed. The area under the open part was unclean. On the day of our departure I looked underneath to check if I dropped my earphones and I found dust, candies, plastic wrappings and various other leftovers from previous guests. I know that the cleaning personnel in such establishments are working in each room on a deadline, so I guess they forgot. No hard feelings!

We liked the location of the hotel, as it was in the area we wanted to stay and offered a good price.

The parking is limited to only few places, so when we arrived at around 10 pm, there were no parking places available. We did need to park in the parking nearby, however it wasn't very convenient and it would be great if hotel would notified us about this in advance. Also, we received a room for disabled people and it turned out to be uncomfortable for average person as most surfaces were too low and bathroom was quite inconvenient to use (water was all over the toilet)

Nicely decorated and tidy hotel, everything is in perfect condition, appropriate size of the room and bathroom, comfortable bed only with pillows and duvets as it is most appropriate (no annoying additional covers or decorative pillows). Very quiet room facing inner courtyard for perfectly peaceful rest, the only sound coming from birds. All staff members are very polite and professional, check-in/check-out was quick and smooth. Hafenstadt is a very peaceful neighbourhood, with hardly any people on the streets. Hotel is situated in the proximity of the UNESCO heritage sites Speicherstadt and Kontorhausviertel.

Although there is a variety of choices for breakfast, most of it is tasteless and of low quality, apart from croissants and some jams. Window is blocked so that it can only be partially opened. Air-conditioning is automatically switched on every time you enter the room, so it is a bit annoying that you need to turn it off every time.

Safe location. 10 minutes from city centre by train. Train station in 100 metres. Nearby supermarkets. Quiet neighbourhood. No kettle in room but got one on request. Excellent staff!! Very helpful.

A bit away from the city. Have to change trains to get to city. No bathtub. No sauna in hotel unlike other Holiday Inns. Restaurant offers very limited menu for dinner and no good places to eat nearby.

The location is great as the walking distance to the city center in only like 10 minutes. The room was clean and the room temperature was good. The breakfast is great as there is some much choice. The tables were immediately cleaned when someone finished the breakfast. The personel is very friendly.

The pillows are a bit thin and I only had a -one-person blanket on the queens bed in room 319.

Excellent sound proofing and convenient location for visiting the uber stylish Philharmonic Hall…Near metro for getting downtown. Great breakfast.

Hotel car Park has +/- 35 parking spots for 268 rooms so inevitably full before check-in time starts. Parking around hotel on parking meters can be done in 2 hour slots max and then you have to leave the whole area. 8€ for 2 hours on the street but free from 20:00 to 09:00. Bit of a dance getting the car parked therefore. There is an underground car park within 300 meters but it is not cheap for an overnight…Around 2€ an hour.

Nice location for exploring Hafen City (walking distance from Miniature Wonderland museum). Very attentive and pleasant stuff. Decent cocktails at the bar. Modern design of the room and hotel in general.

No mini bar / fridge in the room. Pretty average breakfast (except for the waffle maker). No tropical shower 🚿 Our window was looking straight to the neighbors' window so we had to keep the curtains closed in the evening.

Location is great. Close to the water and all the sights. The staff is very helpful. The lady at the reception went out of her way to help us with finding a parking.

There are very limited parking slots for the hotel guestsl in their building, so getting one can be a challenge. However, electric cars can park on the side lanes for free for up to 2 hours with a parkschein.
