Big and cosy room which feels like an apartment. Love how artistic the place is. There’s a heating area in the bathroom to hang your towels to dry them which is great! Train station is just a 5mins walk with a supermarket along the way.

Our room was very spacious, beds comfortable, linens white and cozy, lovely coffee machine, large walk in shower, and step out balcony. And although some may not enjoy, the construction site across the street was very interesting to watch. Breakfast buffet fully stocked with all you need and then some. Enjoyed drinks in the evening with fellow guests and made some new friends.

Air conditioning in room often went off at night leaving room very hot. It was also quite noisy when on. Small mini fridge leaked water. Night tables only large enough to hold a tv remote or a pair of glasses.

I loved everything about the whole Henri Hotel experience. The staff were exceptionally helpful and referred back to conversations on the following day, to make sure their advice had been useful. The hotel offers ultimate flexibility because drinks and some basic food items are always available in the pantry or kitchen areas. The rooms are themed in a particular art deco style which I really liked and there was a lot of room not only to sleep and shower but also a comfortable armchair for reading and a desk for writing. There's also a great communal space downstairs, which is ideal for people with friends, colleagues or extended families. I wish there was a Henri Hotel in more place, including London. It's a great concept, carried out with real style and attention to detail. I always enjoyed coming back to the hotel at the end of a busy day.

There were only two areas which would benefit from a bit of attention. First, the electronic locks are a bit tricky sometimes. Secondly, my older eyes would have welcomed slightly bright light sources near the armchair and in bed for reading. Otherwise, everything was pretty much ideal for me.

Great location, wonderful breakfast, and a nice room with a big bathtub. Well connected to public transportation. Friendly staff during check in and check out.

Arriving early to leave in our luggage before check-in seemed to inconvenience the reception desk. Happily, the rest of our interactions with the staff were more positive. The "double bed" consisted of two single beds jammed together rather uncomfortably. A trip to the spa necessitated an extra fee, which seemed a little penny pinching on Henri's part.

The hotel exceeded my expectation because of the late booking I did and how the staff did their best to accommodate me and my dog. They provided a dog bed, bowls and some treats. I drove 12h and had 9 more to go the day after, so all these attention were most welcomed. The breakfast was awesome, and I know what I'm talking about!

My car couldn't fit in the entrance of the courtyard carpark. The price for the overnight parking seemed a bit pricey (18€) while there was some free parking spots on the same street for an overnight stay.

Friendly staff who spoke good English, the atmosphere of the hotel lobby/bar area was also nice with jazzy/old timey music and I found myself hanging out there quite a bit (which I usually never do in hotels). The private detective feel of the rooms is also a cool touch. Overall it was easy to make requests, reception pretty much always picked up the phone straight away and I found the stay uncomplicated and pleasant.

The room was too cold on the first night and I dislike that there are no full sized blankets even for the double beds. They gave me a heater for the second night though.

We loved this boutique hotel centrally located to shopping and old town tourist sites. The room was spacious and decorated in the 50’s theme. Beds and housekeeping services were great. We enjoyed the overall 50’s motif and atmosphere throughout the hotel including the combination reception, bar, and breakfast area. The breakfast included a variety of choices. The staff was very helpful. Hotel has spa facilities however we did not utilize. Although not part of the hotel, don’t miss the “Asian Burger” restaurant next door. Burgers are great and definitely get the sweet potato fries.

Nothing to dislike

My first time staying at Henri in Hamburg, I loved the informality and trust of the stuff, the shared restaurant area and the decor was right up my street. The room was a very generous size and I had everything I needed. The location was perfect, close to restaurants, shops, trains and only a 30 minute walk to the Messe, which was lovely past the lake and gardens. I had some business challenges whilst there, but Sophie was perfect and really went out of her way to help me, thank you Sophie! :-D

There was nothing not to like. My stay was perfect.

Although, this hotel is in a back street, it's quiet, close to train station and very convenient for the main shopping street, lake and harbour. The hotel is clean and modern. There were a couple of good restaurants within a two minute walk, others 5-7 minutes. Breakfast was good, yogurts, fruit, choice of delicious German breads, meats, salmon, cheeses, eggs (scambled and boiled) and bacon, seeds and marmalades, jam, good choice of teas and coffees.

The hotel has quite some boutique charm. The staff is great & helpful!

To me, and this is only a personal opinion, this is not a 4-star hotel, but more like a 3-star hotel. It just does not feel like 4. One example: The amenities on the room only cover shower gel & a hair drier - no lotion, no conditioner, only on request (this should not be. I mean, I do understand it, people hesitate to ask (so did we, because it feels not comfortable) but still miss the amenities. That helps the hotel saving money there). The suite size was okay, however it might also be considered as a deluxe studio in other places. Though this is a "long" negative comment, the overall stay was pleasant. However, for the price-value, I might look somewhere different next time.
