Great location , beautiful old building, very practical parking behind the hotel, nice breakfast location, swimming pool on the roof, friendly staff.

The rooms are dark and for some strange reason the internal doors in the room ( between the bathroom/toilet and the bedroom) are equipped with automatic door closers ( unnecessary and unpractical). The toilet is so small that the door doesn't close when in use. Al these are mistakes by the architect who did the renovation of the building. Unfortunately. Can easily be remedied by rearranging the rooms and also making the balconies more attractive.

The location is super close to the city centre and a very special place. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was perfect. They even use products from L'Occitane brand in the bathroom. The have a watercooker in case you want to drink a tea. We have had dinner at the hotel and the food was delicious. The best tomato mozzarella salad ever eaten. The tomatoes were super tasty and the dressing was delicious. The breakfast is very good and extensive, even soy and almond milk and gluten free bread for the celiacs. A very good range of tea flavours from the brand Comptoirs Richard.

The lift is very old and it was working at times. We are young persons but for persons with more age, to go upstairs to the last floor I can imagine it can be annoying. The airco in the room was an old manual devide hanging on the wall and it was not possible to regulate the temperature or turn it off. The 2 nights we were there at the beginning of August month I was sleeping covered with the bedsheets because of this.

Beautiful old courtyard. Ambiance of old buildings.

The helpfulness of staff was quite variable with some being very helpful and others less so. The staff should accompany guest to the room because in some rooms there is an unusual set-up in which there is a pitch black fore chamber which can only be lit by a card (not provided) in slot not on the wall of the outer door. This requires an introduction by staff. The actual room itself which is found beyond a second closed door, was very spacious and inviting. I did not understand why the shower-head hose was not long enough to reach the hook which would have turned the bathtub into a standing shower. A longer hose would have been helpful.

This hotel is just so beautiful – I loved this old monastery building with its high arches, grand staircases and hallways, old wall tapestries, central courtyard with big trees and giant fountain, and green leafy side courtyard with nice restaurant seating. The rooftop pool and seating area was also gorgeous, even though we didn't swim we enjoyed exploring it. I booked this place because of these features and I wasn't disappointed, it was worth staying here just for that. The on-site hotel parking was also extremely convenient, and the hotel location was close to the city centre, main sights, and lots of good restaurants. The staff were also friendly and helpful.

The air-conditioning in our room didn't work properly (made noise and blew out air but didn't really cool anything), so we opened some windows, which provided a nice breeze but at night mosquitos came so we had to close them. Since we visited in early spring the heat was tolerable but in summer we'd have probably asked to switch rooms. The bathroom also had a slightly unpleasant smell which lessened when we aired out the place but never entirely disappeared. Perhaps this is just a problem in the rooms in the old part of the building, but if so it was a shame because otherwise we loved the historic features of our room (wooden beams, stone walls, circular window with courtyard view).

Beautiful property, good location, easy parking, clean, comfortable bed. Would stay here again.

The bathroom and (separate) toilet were small and the ceiling in those rooms very low. Would have been very awkward for wider or taller people. We had booked a room with balcony in the modern part of the building, but we’re told we had been ‘upgraded’ and found ourselves in the original property overlooking the courtyard (no balcony). The room was lovely and had a high ceiling but the toilet and bathroom were a squash. You had to climb into the bath to use the shower and anyone over about 5ft 9ins wouldn’t fit under it. It would have made more sense to have had a walk in shower. I wonder if our original room would have had more head room and was given to someone who complained. We managed but it wasn’t ideal.

Really French interior and exterior. Beautiful building and so well designed inside. Really good location and really good breakfast.

We had the disabled room because my mum is in a wheelchair, the accessible rooms were *really* far away from the front entrance. The car park was also quite far away, so it took me a long time to get stuff in and out of the car because everything was so far away from each other. It was also quite difficult to get my mum into the room. The bed was far too close to the door, and was a bit of a struggle to manoeauver her wheelchair, but we managed to deal with it and it was lovely. Also no air con, which being in March wasn't a problem, but I can imagine in the summer months, it'll be far too hot.

Quirky Hotel . Lovely courtyard and excellent location

We had a standard room but unfortunately not up to standard. Very little wardrobe space, no shower only bath with shower attachment, difficult to get close enough to mirror, stairs to toilet. Morning we left were woken up by rainwater coming through ceiling resulting in puddles. Had asked for different room as soon as we arrived but unfortunately reception said that wasn't possible.

loved everything about this place! the room was a great size, it had a balcony with shutters for privacy, but could also open up with a view into the courtyard. the building itself is amazing. so much history. we even explored the little chapel inside which was incredible. bed was comfy, bathroom was good but small. location was perfect! definitely would stay again.

there was a terrible sewage smell in the bathroom but apparently it was a widespread issue across the whole town.

Close to public transport. Nice rooms. Nice restaurant.

The plug in the shower didn’t work and the tub kept filling with water even after I removed the plug. Daily service didn’t replace toilet paper and ran out. No power point in close proximity to the bed. I use a CPAP machine to breathe when asleep and needs to be plugged in. I had to sleep on the couch to be close to a power point.

The location was perfect for us, right on the edge of city center, with easy private and secure parking, a 2 minute walk to restaurants and shops and just a bit longer to museums and famous historic sites. The staff was friendly and helpful with restaurant referrals and directions. Our room was very large, very clean, inviting and comfortable.

We were totally satisfied and we'll taken care of in all regards.
