Awesome stay, and the host gave us Maps and told us where to go and where to stay away from at night. We would not have found The wine House if not for her. And an amazing cozy breakfast where we got to talk to the others staying at the B&B. And a really cute dog walking around. And a beautiful back garden. Beatiful inside the house as well.

A little space for mye boyfriend in the bathroom. He is 197cm and could barely close the door whole sitting down. But the bed was long and the House had enough space!

we were received by a wonderful French lady who spoke great English and other languages from what I could gather, always smiling and going out of her way to help her guests by giving them useful informations about The city of Bordeaux and surrounding areas. great continental breakfast and the our room was really lovely with beautiful parquet floors and a nice balcony. I will definitely will book again and recommend this lovely place to my friends. it’s a real “Bijou” Danielle

The owner Isabelle, is lovely and warm, the property is very convenient to St Jean Gare which has a wide choice of restaurants within minutes and of course trains, buses and trams covering all of Bordeaux. The breakfast was very good with fresh croissants, pain à chocolat, fresh bread, 3 jams, tea or coffee, fresh fruit, yogurt, cheese...very generous and the outlook was a pretty courtyard. Our room was a good size with individual heating / air conditioning control, The bed was comfortable with cosy linen. I'm a tall lad and the 1m x 1m shower was great, the toilet is modest in size, but perfectly adequate.

We stayed 7 nights and had a most enjoyable stay. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the station and about 25 minutes to the main town. There is a tram service at just under 2 euros. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was substantial (usual French breakfast). There is a small kitchen area for guests to make tea/coffee with a fridge. Guests were also able to eat in the evening in the patio area. Isabelle runs the hotel and is very friendly, helpful and good fun. She speaks good English as well and will offer good advice on the various tourist attractions. If we should ever visit Bordeaux again we would only stay at this hotel. Duly recommended.

A nice guest house with character & a friendly helpful proprietor Isabel. Handy walking distance from Bordeaux train station. We walked into town but there is a tram. Very nice breakfast. We didn’t notice the check in time & arrived earlier but Isabel rang us to check & we were able to leave our luggage/ check in earlier. In the heat of the Bordeaux sun you need to leave windows & shutters closed during the day, as in many places in the South.

We loved every bit of our stay! The decor, beautiful rooms with views, amazing authentic french breakfast and the friendliest host. Our host was welcoming, helpful and went above and beyond for her guests. We will definitely recommend this stay to everyone and definitely come back for a visit! Our trip wouldn't have been so amazing if it wasn't for our stay at La Halte Montaigne.

Close to Bordeaux train station and transport routes. A lovely BnB, clean and comfortable. Our host was informative about what to see and do in Bordeaux and how to get navigate the transport system . We were provided a generous continental breakfast with tea and coffee facilities to use at our leisure. It was also wonderful meeting other travellers daily at our breakfast table

A wonderful older bordeaux home, turned into a delightfully cozy B&B, it made for a relaxing and memorable stay. But the highlight, by far, was Isabelle, the hostess... she greeted us as if we were old friends, made us feel welcome in her home, and gave us tips on where to go and what to see in Bordeaux. She hosted a marvelous breakfast for her guests each morning that felt like breakfast with family... indeed, we made new friends there while chatting over coffee. I can wholeheartedly recommend a stay with Isabelle, and will definitely look to stay with her again when we return to Bordeaux.

Big, luminous, comfortable and clean room with ensuite toilet and shower in a lovely house close to the Bordeaux St Jean train station. To me, the perfect place. Breakfast was fantastic- The host, Isabelle, helpful throughout. I walked to the city centre (a 25-minute nice and gentle walk mostly by the river) but you also have a tram taking you straight to the centre stopping nearby the house.

Ideal for a short stay, its location is very convenient for the main railway station and frequent trams for a short ride to the city centre. Isabelle, the hostess, is extremely helpful with advice on where to go and what to see. It is an old house beautifully maintained and everything in our room (bed, shower etc) were perfect for our needs. And the breakfast is lovely.
