A budget hotel room but everything was clean the room was spacious and all the facilities provided for a comfortable nights sleep. An electrically operated shutter kept the room dark and there was little noise from the adjacent main road. Breakfast was very good and staff friendly. We were impressed with the receptionist Quentin who guided us by phone to the reception and parking at the rear of the premises.

Arriving at almost midnight due to a delayed ferry we could see the hotel but there was no access from the main road and trying to find reception and parking was a 20 minute nightmare. The adjoining commercial estate has dozens of small parking areas like a maze. Fortunately the night receptionist Quentin came to our rescue! This Hotel needs to review it's signage as a matter of urgency !!

The room was clean, modern and functional - but of budget hotel standard. It is a functional budget hotel in the outskirts of Caen. I found that the standard of the Ace Hotel was better than that of Ibis Hotels, which I also used twice on my short Normandy vacation.

While not directly the fault of the hotel, the next door associated Restaurant La Boucherie would not give us a table on Easter Monday evening. They said that they were full and were quite blunt about it. There was no restaurant alternative in the general area that evening, so we had to do without. I see on Google Maps that many of the Ace Hotels in France have Restaurant La Boucherie next door, so they must be owned by the same group. They should be able to prioterise Ace Hotel guests.

The hotel was easily accessible from Caen-Ouisteham ferry port, and the 24-hour reception made it suitable for a late evening ferry arrival. Good to have secure on-site parking (though we got one of the last places). Reception very helpful: on arrival we opted for breakfast and mentioned that one guest has a gluten-free diet, and they had food ready for breakfast. Pleasant and friendly staff. Very good breakfast choices - well worth the price. The hotel was modern, clean and pleasant.

It would be good to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room: but for a budget hotel this was an understandable compromise.

The staff were very friendly, welcoming, helpful nothing was too much trouble. Jean Pierre's multitasking skills during breakfast were fantastic. Breakfast was very good value all products were replenished multiple times for guests Hotel was only 1.5hrs to cherbourg ferry & allowed us to have our dog in the room. Carpark was secure & if time to eat a meal had a restaurant next door

Had a non smoking room but previous guests had been smoking in the room - not anybody in hotels fault 😒

The room is a good size, as is the bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The wi-fi was easy to access and fast enough to stream Netflix or other sites. The buffet breakfast was standard and good for the price. There is a good restaurant next door for lunch and dinner. It is in a good location for touring the surrounding areas. The cleaning staff came every day and did a good job.

For this price range, there was nothing I felt was substandard or lacking. I would definitely stay in this hotel again and would try other locations of ACE Hotels given my experience at this one.

booked 3 guests but only had 2 sets of towels, had to ask for a third set. not a complaint, just something they could improve, this shouldn't be a frown face, just be a note for suggestion, nothing negative about ace hotel. the staff, accommodations, and free breakfast are great. soft boiled eggs were delicious.

The breakfast was a continental sort. Choices were good and fresh. The service was excellent. Our room was comfortable, clean and the bonus was soundproof! Even our dog settled well, and the outside setting was sufficient for her needs!

The adjacent grill/ eatery was acceptable but with our dog we were seating in a terrace area, which was covered but very cold. Therefore perhaps this was why the meals were cold rather quickly.

Everything you would expect for a one night stay at this price.

Road signs to hotel could be improved and gated entrance to car park if you arrive late is difficult to ‘unlock’. Had it not been for the help of staff at restaurant next door, we might have been driving in circles for some time looking for the entrance.

The room was clean and big enough for a family of 4 (children 11 and 13). Loved the location near the park and had a lovely walk around. It is also near the caen memorial museum but didnt have time to visit. Great restaurant next door. Perfect for our stop over.

The room was roomy and comfortable. Although it overlooked a busy road, the room was sound proof. It was a bonus to have private parking and a convient restaurant right next door.

The bathroom was clean but corners dirty or discoloured in shower, faucets, etc.
