Very large well lit reception with bar and restaurant on site. ALL front of house staff were very welcoming and it was mesmerising to see how they multi tasked (reception + bar + waiting on). The room was spacious and the bathroom was a good size. The outdoor pool was open. Car parking free and bring on the edge of town meant no busy city negotiations late at night. Free WiFi which was helpful and no dramas with me sitting at a table in the reception area to plan for the following day - would definitely return

No bad points, but I did think 14 Euros for breakfast was expensive (I only eat toast). But no pressure, I popped up to the Aldi for 2*pan au chocolate (<1 Euro). I took my travel kettle, luckily, as I couldn't work the fancy coffee machine in the room!!

Lise, was excellent her colleagues particularly the young Lady on reception with long red hair were also very good. Breakfast was good value for money and catered for every taste.

As I explained to the young Gentleman on reception the tea and coffee making facilities were not up to standard. It was a coffee making machine with 2 paper cups. The hot water that came out of it was brown. We did not use it after that and reported it to reception 2 days later. As I explained you can't beat a kettle with tea bags coffee and milk along with proper mugs to make your drinks in.

The Reception staff were excellent, as were the waiters at dinner. The restaurant was well laid out and the menu was excellent and reasonably priced. The waiter accidentally spilt some beer on me and was so apologetic we had to reassure him it was fine. When paying, we were told all our drinks were free because of the incident - a nice touch.

It was a little difficult to find because it is next to another hotel which has a sign on the main road. Luckily after 2 passes the satnav directed us correctly.

the pool was lovely after walking about sites all day. the reception staff were lovely & knowledgeable about the area.

the breakfast was over priced for the quality. there was no place to open your suitcase in the room but on the bed. there was no place to store the suitcases except zipped up by the desk. there also appeared to be an issue with us being english with the waiting staff - we were the first to sit for dinner but the last to be served. on several occasions, to the point that we noticed it.

Nice hotel in a rather quiet business area, plenty of parking space. Within a driving distance to Caen city center, excellent location for motorized travelers. Rooms are good and all the staff very helpful and professional. Swimming pool is slightly cold, but good for swimming, which is a really nice after a long day of walking/exploring. We also enjoyed their restaurant, which serves very good food. Book a table for dinner in the morning to get a seat.

Scrambled eggs for breakfast - tasted like made from powder left over by invasion forces. The rest of the breakfast was very good.

We were a group of 10 in 5 Classic cars. Good parking was essential. We also made good use of the bar and the pool. The restaurant was good but possibly not enough choice for 4 nights, but we found other options within a short walk. The bedrooms were quite basic but had everything we needed. The staff were excellent and very helpful.

One of our members was celiac but there were no gluten free options on the menu. However he did manage to sort something with the chef.

Lovely greeting, all staff seemed friendly. Thank you so much for a quick turn around. It was certainly appreciated.

When we arrived we have previously e-mailed stating we would need day beds, but this e-mail was not sent on, and neither was our confirmation number, we had to give the amount paid which we did not have as this was paid for by our company.

Meals were fantastic and the staff couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect. It was extremely clean with good facilities.

We felt the bar area could've offered a bit more atmosphere so that you could relax having an evening drink after dinner but that didn't hamper how nice we felt the hotel was.

I had a big problem with my reservation, but a great manager and a super-kind concierge solved it with lot of patience and well hosting attitude. Very clean and confortable place, I liked a lot that the manager walks in the hotel, smiles to the guests and talk with them. It creates a very friendship ambience

Overall our stay was good, and we're very likely to return. Location is excellent for the ferry. Rooms were clean, staff very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was typically continental, good and plentiful. As we had our dog with us, the adjacent open space was an unexpected handy plus.

It was unfortunate that our stay coincided with the July heatwave, so the lack of air conditioning counted against, and meant that the price seemed a touch expensive compared to similar hotels with air conditioning. On our second night, we were unable to have dinner 'in' as the kitchen closed early due to staff shortage, although to be fair we were close to closing time. A very minor niggle also was that the fruit juice machine was non-functioning in the breakfast bar, and no alternative was provided, which would have been an easy fix. But overall we had a very pleasant stay.
