Charming location in the old town, quiet street, yet close to all important (shops, subway, train station, park). Amazing breakfast with selection of fresh pastry, changing selection (a bit) every day, cool and cosy restaurant. Bluetooth speaker (of good quality) in the room was a pleasant touch, made me feel at home immediately. Room had electric blinds. Finally a hotel in Lyon I truly liked (I have tried few already).
Room was a little dark, I would appreciate stronger lights. The space for clothing was limited in the room. Room was a bit cold when I came, but it was possible to adjust the heating.

Locatiion, very friendly staff, clean and comfortable. Cosy and lovely decor.
Room small and few amenities but it was fine because we only stayed 1 night and the comfort and friendly staff made up for it.

Very rarely will you find such a gem of a hotel and its staff. The staff was absolutely amazing throughout. I stayed in the hotel for six nights, and each day was mesmerizing. The staff went far and beyond to meet my requests, even helping me find the best places to visit Lyon and the best local restaurants to eat. For the amount I paid for six nights that included breakfast, this hotel is a steal deal. It's located in a lovely, quiet place in Lyon, close to the metro, bus stop, and restaurants. Laundry, shops, groceries, a massage parlor, a barber shop—you name it—are all a stone's throw away. On my departure day, the staff even prepared a cup of coffee for me as a farewell gesture. I've never felt so warmly greeted and welcomed. If I ever find myself back in Lyon, I wouldn't hesitate to stay in Edmond W again. I can't speak highly enough of it!
I need help to think of something that I didn't like. Everything was great! Shuffling the breakfast with a different course would be good, but that's a minor touch.

The hotel is on a quite street. The parking garage is a 5-minute walk from the hotel. There are bakeries and restaurants around the hotel. Metro station Massena or Brotteaux is a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Gare Part Dieu is one metro stop away. Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse is an easy 12-minute walk. The hotel staff was very friendly. There were coffee and tea in the small lobby area. The room was efficient and comfortable. We really liked the bakery MAISON DESCHAMPS - Boulangerie & Café around the corner. Will definitely stay here for future visits.
Street parking is hard to find. It's a little challenging to unload and load the luggage.

The hotel is located near to Lyon train station and along the way and around the hotel there are many eateries. The room was small but kept very clean. (We dropped something under the bed and started shifting the furniture and we were pleasantly surprised that the areas under the beds were pretty clean! ) The hotel provided water and a small snack which are replenished daily. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. It may get a tad noisy at night due to the restaurants in the vicinity but we were not bothered. The lift is very small and may be tight for two person if you have huge luggage. We love the breakfast as they have a wide selection and the food is fresh. The breakfast team is very efficient to replenish the food and they are also very friendly. It is a very quaint hotel and they make the effort to make the whole place feels cozy and welcoming. We love the courtyard where you can have breakfast and the little lobby with a mock up fireplace. They also created their own map and directory of Lyon and listed them places of interest and nice restaurants. Monsieur Romain at the front desk is very friendly and we feel very welcome at the hotel especially after a long haul flight and train ride.
Definitely the shower cubicle as it is very tiny and the shower water tends to splash out and wet the floor.

Great location in Lyon. We had the family room (Triple with a double and single) and this was perfect. Excellent service and welcome from the staff. Decor was quirky which we loved and the rooms were very clean. Reception area was also great and we enjoyed a coffee and a glass of wine. Bedrooms were well equipped with a welcome addition of free items such as chocolates and crisps. The bathroom was also stocked with Rituals toiletries too. We decided to add on breakfast last minute and was very impressed by the quality and choice. Great option of street parking due to the time of weekend that we were visiting however a Q Park was also close by. Great location to walk to the centre of Lyon. We would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again when we visit this city ,

This hotel understands the assignment. Located in central Lyon between multiple metro stops and train stations. Surrounded by food, shopping, and attractions. Clean, safe, walkable neighborhood. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Thoughtfully designed rooms with every little extra you can think of. Places to sit, places to lay things, places to hang things - even in the shower. Real glassware and a welcome snack. Automated window blinds and working A/C. A generous Breakfast spread included with proteins, an entire bread station, and Gluten Free options. Wine and Beer available for sale in the Lobby and a quiet, private, outdoor patio in a central courtyard for relaxing.
The coffee in the room is terrible but there is great coffee in the lobby and the breakfast room.

The best thing about the hotel is the breakfast; the number of selections and quality of the food both exceeded my expectations. The rooms were comfortable and clean, although a little bit on the small side; I travelled alone so the space was big enough for me, but were I traveling with another person it may have been a little cramped (but not overly so–for a short stay it would have been good). The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. There are a number of restaurants and bars close by and several metro/tram stops are within a short walk.
My only complaint was the wifi would repeatedly cut out, which is a minor complaint.

We really enjoyed our stay, even it was only for a night! The staff were really friendly and helpful and the room was lovely - very comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and with a kettle and coffee machine - the complimentary bottle of water and chocolate was appreciated. There's a lovely seating area next to reception, and you can also buy a glass of wine or beer. The area around the hotel is lovely, some great restaurants and bars and within easy walking distance of Part-Dieu station. The breakfast was superb.... self-service patisserie, breads, cakes, fruit, cold meats, cheeses, yogurts etc. There was also a choice of cooked food like eggs, sausages and ham. You could even squeeze your own orange juice! Everything was really good quality and plentiful. We'd definitely recommend this hotel.

An easy walk from Part-Dieu station and in a quiet-ish neighbourhood. Beds were very comfortable (we had twins as we find most French doubles too small). Appreciated having a kettle in the room as it's not often the case in small French hotels. Staff were very pleasant and it was no problem to leave our luggage there for the morning after checking out. Breakfast was a very good selection and we were impressed with the cereals and teas being organic. Nothing here is on a large scale (if you want big rooms and a roomy lift it's not for you) but it is a town house in a big city, well converted and very characterful. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.
When the hotel is busy, the breakfast room is too crowded. (In summer it must be better because there are also tables in the courtyard.) So don't expect to whizz in for a quick breakfast if you have an appointment! We were lucky but others were not. A little bit further from the old town than we had thought, but an interesting walk if you have good weather (we did).
