Really nice place, friendly staff. We do suggest this place. Close to city center and really nice breakfast.

This is a lovely small hotel with a mix of French and overseas guests. The room is simple but bigger than the average French hotel room and has very high ceiling. It was great to have a kettle in the room. The hotel is in a great location for walking around the old district and many good restaurants nearby. I had a problem with my travel arrangements and the staff were kind and helpful and assisted me with it. I was glad I was staying in this nice place. I also appreciated that the staff were happy to let me practice my not very good French and did not switch to English even though they are all multi-lingual.The hotel smoothly accomodated my need for gluten free items at breakfast. Even though it is on a busy street the room is very quiet and well insulated. It is easy to get to the airport from here.

Nothing it is a great place

This was one of the loveliest hotels we ever stayed at! The staff were wonderful - so friendly and always happy to help with anything and give advice about where to visit in Lyon. The room was super comfortable, very quiet, the bed was super comfy and we slept so well. The breakfast was amazing!!! So delicious - really impressive spread of food and drink, we were extremely happy with this. I loved the different choices and that there were plenty of very healthy options for example bio / organic fruits and nuts and yoghurt and juices. The breads and pastries were always fresh. And I could not resist the tasty eggs and cheeses! we definitely recommend this hotel! Also the location was perfect! So easy to get around

Staff - ultra friendly and helpful- with a keen sense of humour. Good breakfast . Private underground parking available next to hotel entrance (bookable at cost) Our room was quirky *- possibly not for everyone - but clean with little or no natural light (not named 'Troglodyte' for nothing) Nevertheless, it was on the ground floor close to reception and above all, very peaceful in a noisy 24/7 city. Hotel couple of minutes walk from a 'must visit' Lyon institution , i.e.close to 'Brasserie St George'. and surrounded by bars and restaurants. Old city close by easily walkable Metro only a couple of minutes on foot

* My wife would have liked an additional light and mirror i.e. somewhere to put on makeup in the room which as I stated has subdued lighting. Although hanging space was provided there was no shelf/drawer unit for other clothes etc.

Fantastic hospitality from wonderful hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble. A home from home. Though on a busy street corner, the hotel's central location was excellent with easy walking access to both rivers, the old town and many and varied interesting sights and places. It was easy to return and snooze/refresh ourselves between outings! The room was cleaned daily and staff were available 24/7.

The room was adequate in size but the bathroom and toilet were funtional and lacked natural light.

The staff was super friendly, we asked for a parking garage and they responded immediately confirming availability. They also kept our luggage after check out, and explained us what to visit in the city. Also the room were very well isolated from outside noise and the beds were very comfortable.

The room was a bit small, but everything else was good. We did not eat at the hotel, so can't tell. Although there is a garage available, it is very narrow, so for larger cars this might be a problem.

The hotel is really charming, the staff is friendly (fluent english speakers), and the area is near to the old town (25-30 minutes walk). Near a metro & train station, as long as lots of great restaurants nearby. Adequate breakfast, rooms small but fully functional!!! A very good choice! Ps. Mathilda was by far the most polite professional!

Slight street noises by the nearby motorway...

Its location was excellent, a lovely easy walk to beautiful central Lyon and the old town. The hotel was excellent 3* with comfortable beds and clean linen. The front of house staff namely Myriam during the day and JeanPaul at night were so attentive and very helpful always, even booked dinner for us, and a taxi to take us to the airport. Definitely would recommend and stay there if we ever return to Lyon.

Cannot say anything negative. But just to note if you stay in the triple room, it has only one window very high up.

The room was small, but very comfy and clean, we even got a balcony overlooking the street in front of the hotel. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless clean, spacious and comfortable. The hotel staff was super nice, helpful and responsive. The breakfast was simple but delicious. The location is perfect, very close to the train and bus station, a walking distance to all the important places in the city center. Luggage storage is available on site for free. If we ever return to Lyon we will definitely choose Hotelo Lyon Charite again!

The size of the room may be an issue for some, but it is in line with the description. For longer stays one may consider upgrading to a larger room.

While the exterior looks a bit dated, the room is beautifully maintained and comfortable. The facilities were excellent, but the standout feature is the staff. They welcomed me with a smile at any hour and were incredibly hospitable, making us feel right at home. Highly recommend for a safe and cozy stay.

Room 19 had a small entrance door, which made it hard to enter with a stroller. A minor inconvenience.
