the staff in the hotel were exceptional. they went above and beyond to ensure that we had an enjoyable stay and got the best experience possible. we enjoyed our evening meal and breakfast on both mornings. it was an ideal location for tourists as it was right near Bellecour and was a great link to other sights in the city.

there could have been a wider range of options on the dinner menu. the prices for soft drinks were a bit extreme, £8 for a coca-cola and £14 for an apple juice?! it was a lot easier to walk to the nearest convenience store and buy both of these for less that £8.

Great location with parking. Walking distance to a great choice of restaurants from a quick snack to Michelin star ones. Spa and gym onsite and great views from the bar. The WiFi was efficient and could work all day from the room. Free bar fridge with water, soft drinks and nuts. Mini supermarket a short distance away for snacks. The staff are always super professional.

The rooms are looking really tired and old fashioned and need to be refurbished. Does not have the allure it did in the past. Come back because of the location and staff but other more modern and cheaper properties could make this a difficult choice in the future.

Paid small amount for upgrade to Rhone/river facing room with view. Well worth it. Large room with view and bath. Complimentary mini bar. Very very helpful informed staff. Top floor cocktail bar with panoramic views. Perfect location for walking into old town. Excellent cafe for breakfast in the next street. Many local restaurants and shops. Very good cheap public transport. People in Lyon were great.

The room was spacious with a nice spacious shower and very comfy beds. we had a fantastic dinner in the 3 domes restaurant. however, the service in the (very expensive) restaurant wasnt very attentive. we waited 10 minutes until we were welcomed by the welcome desk, had to ask the waiter to top up the wine when our glasses were empty…The chef made up for all of it though! Fab quality, fresh and super creative dishes! Parking was also very good with a spacious underground hotel car park.

some things in the room were a bit worn and damaged, such as the furniture and bathroom tiles.

Staff were very helpful and friendly! Love the breakfast buffet. The view from the restaurant is amazing! Love that hotel is walking distance to old Lyon and place Bellecour. Love that minibar is included and replenished daily. We got the suite room. Decor is not updated but has its charm and what’s important is it looks, feels and smells clean!

Great location, the breakfast room and View was incredible as was the food. Wonderful to have spa facilities on site. Very comfortable room and the bathroom was luxurious.

I did get a massage and the massage therapist was not very experienced, and I found the massage very frustrating as opposed to relaxing. The person really didn’t know how to give a good massage it was more like somebody was rubbing my skin then giving me a massage. Also they close the restaurant which was an inconvenience at times and they should’ve use their breakfast restaurant for their evening dinner service. The menu that was downstairs was very limited and it was very uncomfortable to sit in the downstairs lobby. But they should be renovated by September

The location was great, it is a short walk to Old Lyon. We had a car rental and the hotel has its own private valet parking garage so that was very convenient. The room was renovated and had a nice view of the river. The hotel staff was very helpful in getting us last-minute reservations at a 2 Michelin star restaurant.

Because the room faced the river it got a lot of light and the AC unit was not strong enough to cool down the room. The staff offered us to change rooms but it was to a non-renovated unit, which was tooo old. We ended up trying our best to deal with the heat of the room. It would've been nice if there were more power outlets as well.

We stayed 4 nights. This is a very nice quality hotel with staff services to match, we appreciated the various services we were helped with. The location is also very easy for getting around the area as well as access to the old town. The hotel has a bar on the top floor. It offers an excellent view of the river and of Lyon, as well as an excellent wine and cocktail list. The service here was also quite good, we enjoyed our time here after returning to hotel from our days/ evenings.

We visited the Le 8 restaurant for dinner. We had a higher expectation for the reviews and ratings we had seen. The location and view is wonderful with a river view, but there is there is nothing else to it, absolutely no atmosphere. It is just tables in a room with bright lights. The food was ok but an price elevated, the service at the restaurant for dinner was not good at all. The poor service did take away from our experience. Breakfast was offered by the hotel but it was offered at the location and was 30 Euro per breakfast. We choose not to have breakfast here due to the high price as well as the dinner experience. Instead, we found breakfast elsewhere while we were out and about the city.

The concierge was very professional, helpful and friendly. They gave me clear instructions of where I wanted to go and helped me book a taxi back to the hotel on a Saturday night very efficiently. Overall, the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast restaurant has the most amazing view.
