The staff, cleanliness, location

Breakfast had run out of some foods by 8am, apparently it would be restocked but not at the time we were there each morning. The breakfast would have been delicious if all the options had been available.

The location was great. Central, 5 minute walk from a metro. About 30 mins on metro to Eiffel Tower but that was fine as we wanted somewhere with a luggage room and to be near Gare Du Nord so our luggage was close by to pick up on our way to the station at 6pm that day.

There was a few small strange marks on the wall in the bathroom that looked suspiciously like poo splatter but that is the only fault I could find. The room was very clean so think it had just been missed.

The main advantage for me was the location, right next to Canal St. Martin and close to several metro stations. In addition, the room was rather spacious and comfortable. Rather surprisingly given the location, there was no noise from the street, although I heard some noise from the neighboring room. Last but not least, the internet connection was fast and reliable.

Unfortunately, the room was not equipped with a teakettle, let alone a coffee maker. The hotel of this level of comfort should definitely installed at least teakettles in all the rooms.

Tasty breakfast with a variety of options: sweet pastries, bread, cheese, ham, muesli, fresh fruit and vegetables, scrambled eggs, sausages... As a vegan option, we could get muesli with fruit and soy or oat milk. Everything was super clean, each person got two towels that could be changed daily. All the staff were very polite and helpful, we wanted to change single large sheet and duvet on a double bed to two separate duvets and the staff attended to our request promptly. The interior of the hotel is small but cozy. The rooms are well sound proofed both from each other and from the street, there is also air-conditioning. Which is important because the street can be a bit noisy at night. All in all, it's a tourist hotel that fulfills its function perfectly.

Lack of toiletries

Very friendly staff! Good breakfast. The room was a little small but clean; worked for me. During those hot August days it's good there's an AC in the room. Had to run it on full power for quite a while. It's quite a distance to the main sights of Paris, but metro stations are just a few walking minutes away. There's also a few supermarchés close and a few bars and restaurants. The train station (gare de l'est) is very close. I was travelling with my bicycle and asked during the booking process if there's a secure place for my bike. And yes, they let me put my bike in the locked backyard. Thank you for that! :-) There's also a storage room for your luggage if you have to kill some time after ckecking out. Like all big cities, Paris isn't cheap, but this hotel has a really good value for money.

The room is big enough for 2 people, clean and the location is good. It's close enough to the metro stations and there are a few cafés/bars around.

Would have loved a kettle in the room. The walls are thin gypsum walls so when other people were getting into their rooms the sound of the doors slamming would be heard in the room.

I like this area of Paris so the location was good for us. It was clean/ close to a couple of metros/ the bed was comfy and had good pillows. It was quiet.

I would have liked a few more hooks to hang things on. I knew the room would be small but some more hooks/ shelves etc would have helped. A kettle in the room too.

Amazing location! My first room was very small (I couldn't open my suitcase anywhere but on the bed) but they moved me to another room which was much better the next day. Clean, and comfy hotel, perfect for resting in after long days of exploring the city. Close to the metro, and also walking distance from many great areas, restaurants etc

Good location close to a useful subway line to sightsee/shop, as well as all the bars and restaurants of the Canal St Martin. Very quiet. Good shower. Ability to control temperature in the room individually. Very kind staff at reception.

Rooms are small so if you're two people with large luggages, you might feel a bit squeezed.
