5 minute walk from Gare du Nord. Great spot if you plan to visit all areas of Paris. A trip to the southern parts can take a substantial amount of time. Reserve at least 1 hour for metro travel in that case. Shops of all sorts and restaurants are plenty, most of them in front and in the side streets of the station. The hotel is located just outside that busy area with at least 2 supermarkets between them. Bathroom in the basic room is small, with green perspex doors. OK for max 2 nights. Had a different room the next day which was a lot bigger, also had a bigger bathroom with a glass door in blue design and a better layout. Much better and a wiser choice for a longer stay (+2 days). Beds are still changed on a daily basis and used towels replaced. Breakfast is of the "American" style. Room on street-side overlooks the platforms from Gare de L'est so it is very close to both. As a result their station announcements can be heard as is the odd rumbling train. A closed balcony door eliminates those sounds quite well. Know that a city tax (13/night) needs to be paid upon arrival. It is not included in the price of the booking.

It's a walking distance from Gare du Nord, but if you're short on time, it can take about 20-30 minutes to get to points of interest in the city. The hotel is ideal for who will commute in train station, for who has an early train next day or who don't mind taking a few different subway trains to get to places.

Not a good place to walk around, pretty much nothing to do. Other reviews say it's dangerous around the station but nothing happened to us. The shower doesn't have a curtain or a separating glass, whenever you shower, the whole bathroom can be flooded.

The location and the breakfast

The room was in the top floor with a balcony, amazing, and thank you to the staff for organising it However the toilet area didn’t have a proper door/ separation, my partner was able to see me from laying in bed whilst I was sat down on the loo Not much privacy with just a swinging door which served no purpose Aside from that we really liked the hotel and the location.

The room was nice but fairly small but then it was a single. The bed was a nice size, smaller than a double but bigger than most singles.

The bathroom was ok but with no shower door (which was the design) then the floor got wet. Also, a personal pet hate - the extra loo roll was stored behind the toilet at a level below the seat. This pretty much guarantees that it will be hit by splashes and sprays when the toilet is used - not hygienic at all. Also unnecessary as there were loads of other places it could have been placed.

Staff were good, especially since I didn't speak the language. Location is a little out from everything but still easy to get around. I loved that they had a Sparkling water tap in the reception/lobby area, nice touch. Room was cleaned daily which was nice after a long day of sightseeing. Breakfast was also good, easy and lots of variety. There is also a bakery down the street if you don't wish to get breaky here, but the convenience of the hotel Breakfast was what got me.

Area from station was a little sketchy

Location is the best between the 2 big train stations. However, no parking space if you prefer taxi. Travel by Metro is the best with a lot of options in walking distance. I believe the safety is quite ok for this location with some convenience store nearby.

The staff were so friendly to everyone and they were so cool and helpful with everything.

There was no scrambled eggs but there were boiled eggs. That’s the only complaint.

PERFECTLY LOCATED FOR ACCESS TO GARE DU NORD, MAGENTA AND L'EST STATIONS. 2 MIN WALK TO RAIL STATIONS AND FOOD OUTLETS. RECEPTION STAFF VERY HELPFUL. ROOMS A LITTLE SMALL, BUT THAT IS PARIS.

Could not see any smoke detectors in the room. Beds were rather basic and hard. Room temp was on heating so a bit warm for sleeping and no way to adjust.

I was greeted at the door by Roderick and was made to feel very welcome. He recommended the breakfast, which I did have and it was a very nice buffet. Roderick also was very helpful giving me directions, he knows the area well. As I was saying goodbye to him this morning, I said I will stay again at this hotel when I next visit Paris.

I have no complaints at all.

Very friendly staff in the hotel and quite pleasant in the shopping areas in general.

Saw a cyclist fall from his bike and narrowly missed by vehicles. Traffic very aggressive and a bicycle in a parked bicycle area was knocked down and the rider just carried on
