Wonderful location in Arles, and the house is (can't help the word) charming! The owners have done up a historically protected building with great sensitivity and retained its character. Interventions are minimal and done with great skill and taste. Emmanuelle and Georges Brodl are personable and responsive and gave us knowledgeable tipps concerning the exhibition scene in Arles. They also accommodated us with a good breakfast on the first morning, although we had not booked it in advance.
This may not be an issue for much younger and fitter types, but for us the stairs were a little difficult to negotiate. Nothing to be put off by, just to be aware of.

Our hosts, Emmanuelle and Georges, were lovely with a likeable sense of humour. Very welcoming and provided excellent information on what to do in Arles. Their B&B is in a beautiful house close to the centre of Arles and some excellent restaurants that Emmanuelle had recommended. We very much liked Le Gibolin. Our room was large and stuffed with pieces of art and sculpture. We had arranged our stay so we could experience the famous Saturday market in Arles which did not disappoint. We also had the best breakfast during all of our 2 week holiday in France. There was tea/coffee, fresh fruit, fresh orange juice, croissants, baguettes and butter with home-made jam and eggs made to order. We would definitely stay there again.
Nothing.

I loved staying in a traditional building surrounded by quality art and sculptures. It was rustic with beautiful old doors and ceilings. Enjoyed breakfast chatting to Emmanuelle and Georges who went out of their way to help us get the most out of our stay. They were interesting, friendly and informative. Do not rule out a visit to Arles out of season..It was great to wander around the Roman remains and Van Gogh trail without the crowds. We would go back.
Being out of season public transport was less frequent, but this in the end did not matter, as if you love art and history, there was enough to do in Arles for a few days. It was fairly quiet at night which surprised me at Xmas time. The advantage of this though was that it felt more authentic and French.

Wonderful hosts! They provided so much information, including maps and restaurant recommendations of Arles. Wonderful location… Not too far/walkable from a free parking area. The lot was crowded, but we were able to find parking whenever we needed it. Excellent breakfast, including fried eggs, which they made for us individually. Beautiful room with lots of historical significance. Nice to have a hot water boiling pot in the room.
Loved everything! Great way to start our trip!

Perfect location - everything in walking distance - but even better were the hosts. Emmanuelle and Georges made our stay even better than we’d expected by suggesting museums we hadn’t heard of or would normally not consider (the Lee Ufan). They recommend lovely restaurants with the expert eye of former restaurateurs. Emmanuelle, unasked, also researched transport options to St Remy, site of the movingly evocative asylum where Van Gogh stayed for a year. She even hung out our washing after we used her machine. Breakfasts were lovely, and we can’t recommend this place enough. Yes, it is quirky and hard to find. Yes, the bed isn’t’t grandly bid or internet strong. But this is a hotel that makes a stay even more memorable, and what more could you ask? Arles, of course, is a jewel, and not just for Van Gogh pilgrims.

This was by far the most wonderful place we stayed during a two week trip. The hosts were kind, generous with their time and information, and pointed us to interesting spots in the city which we may have overlooked. The breakfasts were fresh and delicious, the accommodations comfortable and spacious. A memorable stay in a lovely home, with fantastic hosts.
There was nothing we did not like about our stay.

Exceptional welcome by our hosts, who gave us a wonderful introduction about Arles and its vicinity, what to do and where to eat/dine. They even made sure our itinerary after check-out was smooth and hassle free. A peaceful road that this tasteful, cozy and well-equipped apartment is on, very easy to walk to any attractions and the train station.

The apartments were in a beautifully restored 17th century building a short walk from the station and close to all the attractions and restaurants. Breakfast was more than ample with eggs, fruit, jam , bread and pastries. Emmanuel and George were welcoming hosts and very informative. We must thank George for his advice on washing and ironing🤣.
It was perfect.

Location was excellent, close to major attractions and easily accessible by walking. Close to restaurants and cafes. Love the way Emmanuel and George decorated the room. It was interesting and unique with a lot of wonderful art works. We enjoyed the breakfast, exceeded our expectations and the setting ‘ oohh la la, magnifique!! Emmanuel and George are excellent hosts, friendly and obviously love their city of Arles and willing to share all they know about places to visit during your stay.

Emmanuelle and Georges Brodl are a very nice couple, but I understand they don't provide the kind of hospitality that is suitable (nowadays) for everyone - some people might feel them a little "invasive", but that's only who they are, and they're sincerely interested in your trip and how it's going. For me, it would be a ten, but some accommodation issues appointed by my wife kind of lowered it a little bit (keep in mind it's like a B&B and the autonomy is not exactly like a hotel's one, since Emmanuelle and Georges are the only ones working, so you have to be in direct contact with them in respect of times of arrival, schedule et coetera. Keep in mind the place is very well located, close to the historic center of Arles (like 300m walk). Hope to see you again someday! I was very pleased.
For some profiles of costumers I think they should be less intimate. And maybe the shower could be a little bit stronger.
