A smart, clean, very friendly small hotel in a perfect location for exploring Rouen. The common areas (really, just a breakfast room) were very smart, and breakfast itself was generous and of a high standard. Both of the staff members I dealt with were exceptionally welcoming and attentive. All in all, for a relatively inexpensive 3* hotel…very good.

I was slightly unlucky in that my room turned out to be the only room in the hotel that had not been completely renovated, so it was pretty basic, and had a couple of small issues. BUT, when I raised these small issues with manager Maxine his response was exemplary: I really couldn’t ask for better. I’m sure that if I’d stayed in any of the renovated rooms, this would have been a 10/10 review.

The hotel really exceeded our expectations. Recently renovated clean room (bigger than usually in France), very quiet, just 5 minutes from the cathedral. Very good breakfast. Important, if you come by car, they have a private parking (not so many parking spaces around, and the nearest public covered parking has very limited capacity because of renovation) . And the last, but not the least - very friendly and helpful staff.

There is no elevator in the hotel. Actually, this simply should be taken into account.

Extremely helpful reception on the phone when we were running late for check-in from our ferry (replied very quickly to a voicemail). It is tight to get there in time from the afternoon ferry arrival at Le Havre. Helped us with the parking. Very secure and safe parking, even with my roof load. Really lovely clean fresh smart decor inside. Very boutique! Excellent location, great wi-fi, superb breakfast, very friendly hotel staff - much appreciated.

Kettle didn't work. Two power sockets in the room didn't work, so only bedside light on one side for example. No hot water to shower late at night - though it was a great shower in the morning! Bed was small. But really - these were minor inconveniences, and I'd stay there again - definitely! Lovely place.

Parking was secure at hotel behind locked gate. Location was in the city, so was close to the historic town and sites. Room was a good size and beds were comfortable. Staff friendly who spoke perfect English.

Very spacious rooms with aircon, fridge and fans and a large tv. The location was perfect for us, you can reach the Cathedral and main restaurants within 10 mins. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. They gave us fantastic restaurant recommendations and provided us with a map of the must sees. Would stay here again without hesitation. If you do want to park, book ahead as there are very few spaces.

The street outside was a bit loud both of the nights we stayed there. However we were able to close the windows as there was a fan and aircon inside.

Our hotel host (spoke great english) was over the top helpful with making sure we knew where to go around town (highlighted points of interest), as well as introducing us to the wonderful breakfast, which was only a small add on fee. There was something for everyone as far as food goes.

It was a hot evening out, and at the time, we didn’t realize that the bed mattresses had a protective, no breathable, sleeve on them, which added to the heat when sleeping. We did not get a good nights rest due to this unfortunately.

The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, literally a 5 minute walk to the Cathedral and the centre of Rouen. The superior room was a good size with a very well appointed bathroom. Bed was comfy with good quality bedding etc. Breakfast was very nice.

We stayed during a heatwave, and there was no air conditioning, which made it a tad difficult to get comfortable. Although in fairness, the hotel is in the process of fitting A/C. The A/C unit had been fitted, but wasn't connected yet!

The staff were exceptionally helpful. As we had never been to Rouen before all of the advice we were given on what to do and how to get around was excellent. We were upgraded to a larger room, this is always nice. Breakfast included was more than adequate. For me with a gluten intolerance, I was catered for, however, I did give advanced notice. A good idea if you are in this situation.

The room was a little stuffy at night, however, a fan was provided and it was needed. Toiletries were a little sparse, no shampoo or conditioner, no body cream or vanity kit. No milk provided for tea or coffee

Looking at the photo the hotel seems simple and not the most comfortable, but I assure you that it is! The design of the rooms is very well thought out, we had everything we need. It also was very clean. The staff is very friendly, they not only showed us our room and all the hotel moments, but also gave us a map where they marked the main sights of the city. Also they asked if we had already found a restaurant for dinner and if we needed help with table reservations *-* Just adorable!! The hotel also has its own parking in a closed courtyard. We were allowed to leave our car there even after check-out, so that we could took our time to see the city. 10 of 10!

A very nice place! The location is *great* with most of the old town within easy walking distance. If you drive, you can book a parking space in their courtyard in advance which makes things very convenient. Clean, roomy, friendly and quiet.

Not really a big deal for most, but the lack of an elevator (very common in small hotels throughout Europe) might be an issue for some. The stairs are wide, and the relatively low steps make climbing them easy even when carrying luggage.
