Funnest hotel we've stayed in. The spectacular lighting in the room was enough to win us over, but all the little touches of Mama's personality really made it a fun place to stay. The location is great, easy to get to by bus from the airport, loads of food and drink nearby and a pretty little park area with a fountain, good spot for a picnic. Very clean room, great shower, free toiletries, fluffy towels. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We didn't eat at the restaurant but we enjoyed a late night drink on the rooftop bar and spent a bit of time in the cinema. We didn't hear any noise at night time and slept like babies in our huge bed with the fluffiest pillows. We loved our stay so much we might plan another holiday around another Mama hotel somewhere else :D

What a gem of a hotel! It's located right in the center of Toulouse, at walking distance of all the main attractions like the Capitole, the shopping streets, marché Victor Hugo, Saint Georges, Jeanne d'Arc, etc. There are many public transport options nearby and a Velib station right in front. From our arrival the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and made us feel at home right away. The hotel itself is very trendy (like all other Mama Shelters), with a restaurant downstairs and rooftop bar upstairs (we did not try these but by the amount of people that were there in the evenings I guess it's a popular option). The rooms themselves are spacious, clean, trendy and very comfortable, one of the best beds I've slept in at a hotel!! The bathroom is also large and very clean, with nice toiletries (special mention for the hard shampoo/soap bar). We also found the curtains really blacked out the room which is not the case everywhere. All in all we had a great stay and found it true value for money based on all the above :)

The only negative point (for us) was the noise from the rooftop bar upstairs : we were on the top floor right underneath the bar and were disturbed by the tidying up at the end of the night (mainly chairs and tables being moved around). We know for next time just to ask for a different floor so it's not a huge negative point but still to keep in mind if you are a light sleeper (or just make sure to have some earplugs)!

Almost everything. Loved the ceiling art; the comfortable bed especially the pillows; the woven furniture…..all the decor. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful / it’s obviously a cool place to work.

One thing I didn’t get was the rectangular sink in the bathroom that prevented me from getting close to do make-up and the same for my husband shaving. Design detail! Loved everything else - best contemporary hotel staircase I’ve used.

Mama Shelter in Toulouse might have the best staff in all of France! Everyone from reception to housekeeping was sincerely friendly and had a level of hustle that is rare anywhere. The rooms were remarkably clean and we’d be thrilled to stay here again when visiting the vibrant city of Toulouse!

Though not an issue for us, the decor is incredibly bright and busy. If you are looking for the serene quiet of white walls and visually minimalist design, this is not the place for you.

Amazing location, lovely staff, the bar on the rooftop was a lovely bonus. Always a treat to be staying in a hotel that locals and other travellers are choosing to visit as a destination in its own right. A definite bonus when you're taking the elevator down and you get off at your room floor and everyone else still needs to travel home!

There really was nothing to dislike. The bar upstairs was a bit more pricey and we chose not to eat at the hotel as the cost was much higher than the local area, although the food did look good if you wanted to be lazy and relax.

Stylish and comfortable hotel with a quirky style. It's got a slightly fetishy vibe, with free porn films and animal masks and red lighting in the room, so perhaps not one to come to with your mum, but it's not an overwhelming vibe, so don't be put off if that's not what you're after! The rooms are a good size, the beds are comfy, and the bathrooms are big and well designed. I liked the all-in-one face wash/soap/shampoo that was provided in the form of a solid bar, for eco reasons, even though I was initially wary of it - it smelled great and actually left my hair better than usual! Breakfast was excellent, with a hot buffet, cheeses and ham, cereals, yogurts, juices, and a good array of pastries and pancakes with delicious jams. The ground floor bar was buzzy, with a live DJ (the rooftop one was yet to reopen after a face lift). The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location was very convenient. The luggage storage was easy and secure, with tickets provided.

Tiny gripe - we weren't given additional sachets of body lotion after using the one provided on day 1. Being given 2 in the first instance and then having them topped up as necessary would have been ideal.

Amazing hotel right in the centre of Toulouse. Loved the room, super modern & clean, very well equipped, lovely staff & great roof terrace. This hotel is super cool - would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes a quirky, modern hotel. Loved it. Try the pizza’s on the roof terrace- they’re incredible!

There really isn’t anything I didn’t like. No complaints at all.

We had a great time at Mama Shelter Toulouse! the staff are friendly and very helpful. Having the AC in this July heatwave was a godsend! Our room was clean and the cleaning staff really took care of our belongings too. Rooftop bar is a little pricey but we’ll worth at least having a drink or two there. we enjoyed our stay so much that we’ve booked Mama Shelter again for the next leg of our journey in Lyon. Thank you for taking care of us Mama Shelter team!

So close to the centre and the bed was so comfortable. Would stay here again.

Only downside was we tried to go to the rooftop bar but it was closed when it said it was open, but there's a whole bar and restaurant on the ground floor too so we were able to go there instead.

A great, well located hotel about halfway between the train station and capitol square. The beds and pillows were to die for they were so comfortable. The shower was also spacious with a rain jet and movable shower head.

The room was basically a hallway with a space at the end the size of the bed. There weren’t any end tables and you could only get out of the bed on one side. If you opened the windows they were over the bed. Also, the hotel didn’t have good signage so it was a bit difficult to find.
