Driving to Italy stayed on way out, and cancelled another booking to stay again on way back, but in a superior room. Room had a four poster, seperate bathroom and toilet. When you stay in a building several hundred years old expect sloping floors etc. (if you'd like a characteristic place to eat turn left out of hotel to Rue des Chats, then on left Ruelle des Chats, walk in about 30m and on left are wooden gates leading to a courtyard restaurant. Very nice!)

Was extremely warm when we stayed, as was room. Two fans helped but was uncomfortable. Would happily stay again as dead central, option of car parking, and historic building, but beware heatwaves!

This is a really nice hotel. I have stayed here on many many occasions and it never disappoints. Nice variety of classic antique styled rooms or more modern. All good and very comfortable. The hotel is always able to accommodate my motorbike (Moto) either in the main garage or in the secure courtyard. The main town is very close within 5 minutes walking to a great selection of a wide variety of restaurants. I can recommend the Creperie on the main street - it is......to die for and a perfect introduction and reminder how good French food is.

Hotel is in a great location, close to the city centre. The staff were friendly and helpful. They were happy to accommodate our request for a ground floor room and were happy to have the dog with us for breakfast. The room was basic but comfortable enough. Private parking was close to the room and they also have an EV charger, which I decided not to use but was made available to me.

The decor could do with updating in the room we had, although I suspect the rooms in the main hotel have been updated, the room we stayed in, in the rooms across the street are yet to be upgraded.

The hotel is in a fantastic old building with exposed beams and sloping floors which give it great character... Just keep an eye on roller suitcases. Staff are great, very helpful. Paid for parking was a bonus. Hotel is 4 min walk from Avenue des Chats so dead central. Room and bed both small but quaint enough. Slept fine. We're only passing through. Didn't have breakfast.

If we had been staying longer I think room would have been too small. Also fan provided, and the day had been cool but imagine it would get warm if day was sunnier.

Amazing location in a beautiful old building in the centre of the old city. Lots of interesting landmarks, cafés and restaurants within a short walk from the hotel. Safe parking for guests. Very helpful staff. Efficient wifi. Good breakfast.

The rooms which felt like they needed a bit of an upgrade. We were given a Superior Room but it didn’t feel very luxurious. The room was unbearably hot due to a huge boiler in one of the cupboards. Bed was hard and pillows were lumpy. Bathroom and toilet very basic although the shower was good.

Breakfast was fine, typical continental options plus bacon and scrambled eggs. 1 party member was gluten and dairy intolerant but had options available. A couple if minutes walk from some lovely restaurants and bars.

Had to drop off a party member to get the gates opened to the parking area and had to go round the houses, literally, a number of times until a staff member was available to do this. Could not get through on the phone as requested and the street is too narrow to park up and wait.

Quirky hotel with on site parking. Staff open the gates so need to know you have arrived by phone, it is a narrow 1 way street with no stopping area. In a great area of town. Loads of interesting bars and restaurants a couple of minutes away. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Bedrooms were very hot overnight, no Aircon. Having to drive round the block three times until parking gates opened. Only 1 staff member looking after reception and parking at the times we arrived.

Location was great, staff were super helpful, breakfast was good. Good value given its location. Free tea and coffee facilities were a real bonus ! I would recommend it.

Although the breakfast was good, getting hold of cutlery, plates and cups to eat it etc seemed unnecessarily complicated - ie, they were not laid out and you had to ransack the cupboards to find anything.

We've stayed at the hotel many times over the years as a stop off towards holidaying in South of France and the location is lovely, picturesque, and the gated parking facilities are a major bonus. We also prefer to stay as in a family room due to ages of children. Breakfast is varied and fresh and always replenished. Staff go above and beyond to assist.

We have wanted to stay overnight in Troyes for a long time, but we are usually put off by the need to use public parking, which with a loaded vehicle, we do not want to do. Being able to book into the hotel's secure car park was the deciding factor for choosing a hotel that is part of the historic centre of the city, right on the edge of the 'Bouchon'. A bonus was that the following morning, after checking out, we were able to leave our car in the car park whilst we did some more exploring (we were told that it would be ok there until 2.00 or 3.00pm. We opted for a 'superior' room and it was worth it for the four-poster alone. The room was large, reflected the historic nature of the building but at the same time offered a modern bathroom. The staff were lovely and made us and our dog welcome.

Possibly more precise instructions on where the car park is located. The hotel is in a narrow one-way street with nowhere to park on-street. The instructions from the hotel said to phone when we arrived so that the car park gates could be opened remotely for us. I couldn't get through on the phone, so we had to park creatively while I went in to the hotel. It turned out that the car park is on the opposite side of the street to the hotel, just before it. There is a hotel sign on the car park, but we were looking for the hotel itself, so didn't notice it. Reversing down the road was interesting.
