The room was pleasantly furnished if a little bit cramped in size. I had a nice view of the district on the fourth floor. I didn't mind the size of the room, because I was there to revisit Berlin after not having seen it for years. The hotel offered pleasant little amenities like a bowl of apples at the reception counter and a smaller bowl of sweets. Little touches like these always inspire a sense of welcome and kindness by hotels that are clever enough to deploy them, which greatly outweigh the price needed to provide them. The positive impression they leave far outweigh the cost. I loved seeing the rebuilt old palace of the Hohenzollern monarchs, which now, rather obscurely, takes the name of the museum it houses (the Humboldt Forum), instead of the royal palace it was. I was eager to see this old Berlin landmark, which I saw in the early stages of reconstruction the last time was in Berlin almost ten years before. And I made a point of going to see the old Charlottenburg Palace in the western part of the city, which had always eluded me on previous visits. It, and its surrounding gardens, were well worth the visit. Even in the almost decade since I was last there so much building has taken place that even areas I had been around on previous visits appeared hardly recognisable. Being an aeroplane geek, I was also fascinated by Berlin's ostensibly 'new' state of the art Berlin Brandenburg airport. Actually a rebirth for the old pre unification Schoeneberg (Terminal 5 is actually a remanant of the previous travel hub it was).

The comprehensive transport system of Berlin is both incredibly helpful, but a little bewildering, when you are becoming (re)acquainted with it, or if you are new to the city or haven't been there in a long time.

A great budget no-frllls hotel. Some budget hotels cut every corner they can, but the Apple City Hotel is a good straightforward place to stay. Are there better places in Berlin.... sure ... and you pay twice the price. A good value place to stay.. Very close to u-bahn and short walk to S-bahn. Recommended.

Nothing to complain about. Some reviews have said the hotel is either noisy or in an unsafe area. They seem to forget they are in a central area of one of the largest cities in Europe. Maybe they need a spell in the countryside instead !

Many transportation options Great restaurant around Comfortable and clean rooms

WiFi really unstable, unfit to work. Bathrooms and towels smelled like cigarette Staff wasn't fluent in English. Shower started to overflow, bathroom became flooded in 2 minutes, we advised reception. The next day nothing was done, it overflow again, this time it flooded the room and got all of clothes and luggages wet. Once they changed us room everything was good

The hotel is not very big but still very convenient and comfortable for a stay of a couple of nights. It is located near the Turmstraße U-Bahn and Tram so getting there is very easy. The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful, they spoke both English, Russian and German and in general the check in experience was very wholesome. The room itself was nothing special. It was very clean, with a big bed and a private bathroom.

We did have some trouble with the shower curtain falling since the rod was not attached very well to the walls.

A really nice quiet garden out the back, very close to Turmstrasse tram, and just across the road from a nice park (Kleine Tiergarten). I was also grateful to be provided with a kettle so I could make a cup of tea in my own room.

The bathroom was extremely tiny and squeezy. Fortunately I am only 157 cm in height so I was able to sit on the toilet seat without my knees scraping the wall, but a bigger person would definitely not fit!

The Reception staff are the excellent people, Very professional & super helpful, making your stay absolute easy and comfortable at max.

The floors have one main door after the elevator, it’s a huge door and clear glass, I almost went through the glass, banged super hard and loud. They could put some indicators on the floor doors. Other than my head, ,everything else was all excellent :)

The hotel was easy to find and not too far from the main train station. The city center and the Tiergarten were only a short bike ride away. The breakfast was nice too, for a smaller hotel. I was particularly impressed with the helpful staff who sent me my phone in the post after I left it by mistake. They were quick in their correspondence and very carefully packed the phone to ensure it wasn't damaged.

Room was slightly dusty. It would be nice to have a kettle in the room.

Only few meters to metro station with good connections to tourists attractions, there is also bus and tram, so few modes of transport at the front door. large and clean room and bathroom, a lift, I asked for a kettle in the reception and they gave it to me to use as in winter it’s nice to have a hot cup of tea or something. many shops, a shopping mall, and places to eat around.

Me and my friends booked it at the last minute because our Hostel was terrible. However, its right next to the subway station and its not really noisy. Meaning that, the location is great. Its also clean.

Other hosts were really loud and one of them accually pissed on the hallway. The hallway by itself was smelly.

We were able to visit the whole city as this hotel was next to a subway station and not far from the train station. The staff were great.

There were 3 of us and the room was very small. But we knew that already, so it wasn't so bad. Also, the price of this room was high, but that's also the case for all the other rooms in Berlin. Overall, everything was pretty good.
