The hostel is pretty clean and the location is quite good as well.
Why would anyone pay for the sheets? Isn’t that supposed to be included in the room cost itself? This was utterly disappointing. I’ve stayed in multiple hostels throughout Europe and I’ve never been asked to pay for sheets.

I often come to Die Fabriek for the great value for money and convenient location, close to many bars, restaurants, and clubs. The common area is spacious and quiet, perfect if you are working remotely! And the inner garden is a nice add-on. The twin room was very spacious, with a sink that makes it extra convenient, even though the common bathrooms are clean and easily accessible. I love the big windows in the rooms and the bed was fairly comfortable (even if i preferred the one in the dorm rather than the twin room!) If you are looking for a party hostel or a place where to meet other travellers, this is not the one for you! But if you are looking for a convenient location at a great price and a good place for remote work, look no further!
I was used to the 2nd floor rooms, that does not have the moquette on the floor, i am afraid the weird smell on the 3rd floor might be caused by that. It would be better and more hygienic to remove it everywhere!

Location very close to the Uber Arena, Berlin wall, and bus/metro station. The staff was very kind. The rooms could be a bit more clean (I found a few spiders), but overall, it is acceptable. The toilet facilities are decent. Big lockers inside the room. There is a little garden and a big indoor area where you can chill out, watch TV and meet new people
The reception isn't available from 22 til the morning. If anything happens, you're on your own. No lift, if you're on the 4th floor and you got a heavy luggage...good luck pal 👌🏾

This was the second time I stayed at Die Fabrik, and again I'm happy I chose this hotel. It's close to where I needed to go, has bus stop and U-bahn station very near, and some walking distance away there's Lidl and McDonald's, if you fancy. It's a bit of a shame there's no microwave oven available, which makes meal prep a bit difficult, but there is an electric kettle for guests' use, which is amazing. It was so cold outside and a hot cup of tea was heavenly. Be sure to bring your own cup though.
The kettle had quite a lot of limescale, I had to rinse it at least 2-3 times before each use. Aside from that I can't think of anything else I might have not liked.

Easily reachable, quiet but also in a bustling street full of food options and grocery nearby. Major public transport hubs are about 10-20 mins of walking away and you can reach the major train stations that way in less than half an hour. The style of the place is young and clearly geared towards backpackers. It's simple but good. Our room was out back into the courtyard.
The beds. My only real complaint. The matress felt more like a suggestion than a cushion. It's thin and you feel like you're sleeping on the frame underneath. However, it is more of a hostel type place, so while I found it uncomfortable, I was not surprised. A small warning to those who like to sleep in, keep the windows closed, cause there can be noise in the morning in the courtyard.

The bathrooms were very clean. The rooms were very clean. They were also BIG! There were lockers in the rooms & plenty of plugs. The common area (the "living room") was cosy for work or for reading or for online work (etc) -- but -- I didn't catch that there was any kind of "socializing" going on, more that the hostel is "functional" The BEST part was the corner Turkish bakery where you could have breakfast in the morning!!! There could be small fridges in each room. I personally did NOT have a problem with the area of the city (( every time I come to Berlin, I stay in another part of the city )) but some people might not like this area. It is however full of alternative cafes & multicultural flair at night -- not "dangerous" area, but pretty "alternative" -- it's best to watch yourself at night (although I was not "scared" at all)
The rugs in this hostel absolutely must be cleaned, steam cleaned. They smell, full stop -- it's obvious there hasn't been a steam cleaning of them for a long long long long time. It wasn't clear to me, how to "pre-order" breakfast -- I was told it started at 9:00am (?!?!?!) which for me was late -- and -- the corner cafe conveniently opened up at 6:30am. No fridge (that would be nice). I would come back, out of convenience of having breakfast at the corner bakery... but ... the hostel should work on building & supporting a more 'social' element -- other hostels in the area do this very well ... .

Easy to find from Schlesisches Tor station and easy to reach from BER Airport and DB Railway station. Lots of restaurants around. I stayed in a single room and it was very clean and cozy. Even though they did not have minifridge in the room, I was able to storage my medicine (that need to be stored cold) in their staff(?) fridge. Very accommodating and nice staff!
Sometimes it got a little loud during the night but it's not hotel's fault but unconsiderate guests. If you have tendency to wake up to the smallest sound, maybe this is not a right hotel for you. (I would sleep even if a gang of elephants came rampaging into my room so it was no issue for me personally.)

Well, I loved the garden and the hall room (actually from the a trance through the reception area) , although I didn't spent time there. The hall room is like a movie setting, with steampunk style handmade decor, combined with warm colors and, let's say, warm retro textures and shapes, like the couches. Going through it everyday it just made my day. I saw people socializing there, or people with laptops, etc. It is a great place to write a book 😎, I think. Another great advantage is the location. Near the U Station, close to Oberbaumbrucke bridge, to Gorlitz Park, very close to Rewe and a lot of bars, terraces, Spatis (stores that are open until late), bakeries, etc. You can't get hungry there 😂. Adjacent to the hotel, is Sonder, a Thai restaurant where I ate the best ever Chicken Teriyaki. On the way to Rewe, I found the best (again) burger I ever ate, at Burger Stieg. The area is a culinary delight/temptation.
The shower - it is fixed, not mobile, and difficult for people who are not familiar. It is popular in Germany, I think, because I only found it in Germany. Also, at the you have to press continously to get the water running. It is not something bad, just a bit unconfortable for me. You can't lock the shower area, so, if someone doesn't think to check before entering, you are exposed 😑. The room definitely needs a makeover, not too much, but here and there are things that need some loving 😉. The door frame is metallic, and so is the locker, so a lot of noise come from that. Wood is much better, from a visual and a confort point of view.

It's a good location for getting to the rest of Berlin and the room was a really good size! The staff were so friendly and it was really great to be able to leave my suitcase there early on my arrival date. It was a nice quiet place to stay where I didn't get woken up by loud noises or anything. The shared bathroom was clean and I felt very safe visiting here alone.
You have to carry your bags up the stairs to the rooms which was okay for me but I might have struggled with a heavier suitcase

I was staying for just one night so I needed just a place to sleep - nothing much. My room was quite old but it had everything I needed for a night. Bathroom was shared, but it was exceptionally clean! Nice chatty staff made my stay cozy and warm. Check out was very easy although the reception didn't work before 9 am.
I was pretty much fine with everything, but maybe it's important for some guests: there is no elevator, and the room I stayed in was more like a dorm room. However, it was just what I needed, so I was satisfied.
