I thought I would get very little for my price but it was an EXCELLENT hotel and great surprise! I enjoyed the full kitchen, bathroom, closets galore and bright space. The location was convenient to get to any area of Berlin. I have no regrets for having chose. This location and have already spread the word to friends. Maria Rosa the manager was super helpful as well.

Please leave instructions on how to use the cook top. I am unfamiliar with induction coolers and texted the customer service but they could not guide me. Maria Rosa the manager finally showed me how to use it the next day.

Very simple check-in with a kiosk in the lobby. Large room with comfortable cooking facilities and equipment. Comfortable bed, nice and firm. Nice view, good curtains to block out all light. Good bathroom facilities.

If I can nitpick, it could have been nice to get a second pillow.

I often stay here when I visit Berlin for work due to it's location - very convenient for the Technical University and the S9 to the airport from Zoologischer Garten station. The apartment was well appointed, with everything you need for a short stay. I appreciated the complementary coffee pods, and access to both a kettle and coffee machine. The apartment was warm and comfortable with zoned lighting. The bed was comfortable and the room nice and quiet, despite its proximity to a busy road - the curtains blocked light well, ensuring a good night's sleep.

The room felt a little tired compared to others I've stayed in at the property - the toilet seat hinge was damaged and the bathroom wasn't quite as spotless as in previous visits (previous guests' razor covers left in the shower, for example).

I had a delightful stay at SMARTments! The location is incredibly convenient, with public transport just a short walk away, making it easy to explore the area. Despite being compact, the room had a cozy, welcoming feel, perfect for relaxing after a day out. I was especially impressed by the small kitchen – it’s well-equipped with everything you might need for a quick meal or snack, which is a thoughtful touch. The bathroom was spotless, and the entire space felt clean and well-maintained. Overall, it’s a perfect choice for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and value around Berlin!

Excellent location close to a lot of transportation to the center of Berlin. The apartment has everything you may need for a relaxed stay. Comfortable mattress, fully equipped kitchen, and good heating system.

Everything was great

Great location, despite being far from the city center, it is well connected and in 15 minutes it is possible to reach the most famous areas. Very good area, the neighborhood is peaceful and with several bakeries for breakfast. The rooms are clean, cozy and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Although the staff is only available in person for two hours in the morning, they are very responsive via booking chat.

We might suggest to give the possiblity to check-in before lunch and include a storing room for the luggages.

Location was amazing! It's close to all public transport, to the supermarket, even a short 15 minute walk away from a shopping area! Hosts were very responsive and the attendant was extremely sweet and friendly when we asked about where we can leave our bags as we had arrived before our check-in time. We also saw him a few times throughout our stay and he always greeted us with a smile and asked us if we needed anything, which made us feel very welcomed :) Television was also a smart TV, with German channels but with the option to connect your phone (we used an Android, not sure about Apple) to watch whatever you'd like, but there was also the option to go on Google! The apartment itself had a lot of features as well, floors are heated and the AC system can be set to cool or dry. The window shutters can also be brought down to black out light in case you find difficulty sleeping.

We found the bed was a bit uncomfortable.

The design of the apartment was fantastic and everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay was included. A beautifully designed apartment. Check-in was so easy. The receptionist couldn’t have been more helpful. I had a great experience!

All the shelves are so high! The lack of a plug in the sink was a bit bewildering. There was a dishwasher but as I was mostly there in my own (my husband joined me for the weekend), it wasn’t worth using, I felt. On the last weekend I was woken in the early hours by a fire alarm, it appeared to be a false alarm but I was a little concerned that the building has no staff at the weekend.

The room was well appointed and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. On the first evening in the apartment the kitchen tap started leaking and flooded the kitchen counter and a part of the floor. I reported it to front of house and they immediately found someone to come replace the tap. And they also sent someone to clean up the flooded counter and floor. It was really handy that I could fetch extra pillows for myself from the basement as the room only had one and I only realised how thin it was when I went to bed - at that time the staff were all gone, but the basement has stacks of linens, pillows and other items which are self service. The location is very convenient - the closest grocery store with the most convenient operating hours is by the metro. The electric block out blinds were great, especially in summer!

The bins in the room are very small and cleaning only happens once a week. If the bins fill up before then you need to take out the trash yourself but there are no instructions on where to do this, so I had to wait till the next morning when the staff were back on duty to ask. One thing I misunderstood on the listing: there is no washing machine or dryer in the apartment - it's located in the basement and you require coins for 2EUR to use it, so it's not included in the cost.

- Kettle's power cord was so short that it couldn’t even reach the outlet. Maybe it’s just me and the cord was retractable but I wasn’t able to figure it out. - The floor in the shower is a bit too flat which causes water to spread on the floor. - Ventilation in the shower is not the best. - The bedsheets were good but not the most pleasant to the touch. - Lighting over the bed is not fully thought through, it was inconvenient to turn on/off because of the switch location.
