Room was spacious, clean. Breakfast tasty, staff was nice, nice atmosphere. Overall - good value for money. Definitely recommend.

1 bathroom for 4 rooms. Only payed street parking. Can be challenging to find a parking space in case of late arrival.

The staff at the check-in counter and at breakfast service was super friendly and multilingual :) The neighbourhood is full of pretty old buildings; the "steps", stairs, that gave the hotel its name, also have their charm, if you are ok with taking them up to the 4th floor as I am :) Really excellent price for the conditions, the room was quite compact, but cozy, with comfy clean bed and with a pleasant view into a cute quiet courtyard. The only thing: get the ear plugs, otherwise you can be woken up by neighbours in the early morning (because of the wooden floors you can hear the noises). Apart from that, everything is great :) Thank you!

We had the small apartment on the 5th floor. It was really good, spacious, well equipped. The small kitchen also has everything, you can even cook if you so please. Staff was really nice all four people we met during our stay. On the first and last day we left our bags in the storage room, this was also no problem at all. It is a 5-6 minute walk (maybe 8, if you prefer to walk slower) to the nearest subway station (you can choose from two lines) and from there you are in the centre in 15-20 mins. So location is excellent as well.

Setting the water temperature in the shower is a little tricky, plus hot water stops coming at unexpected moments.

The location is good, not too far from the U6 and several buses, as well as a number of restaurants. The staff I met were pleasant and spoke English well (which I appreciate since my German consists of a few words). I didn't take breakfast so can't comment on that. My room overlooked a courtyard and was quiet. The shower was comfortable and the room was nicely cleaned.

Oddly, there were no "do not disturb" signs to hang on the doorknob if you didn't want to have your room cleaned or be interrupted. There was no lamp on the desk table, no television, no refrigerator. The curtains are not light-blocking and there are no roll-down blinds, unusual in a hotel. When I was there the weather was cool, so there was no need for air conditioning, but if the weather were hot I didn't see a/c and so it might be unpleasant in the room. There doesn't appear to be an elevator.

Clean and spacious rooms and a clean common bathroom. Very friendly staff. Close to supermarkets and public transport. Overall a good experience and you get what you pay for, nothing too special but just a decent room for a reasonable price. But overall I definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.

Don't recommend the breakfast if you're not in a hurry. It was too expensive for what you get (10€ for a very small buffet).

I enjoyed my stay here. I found Steps to be a comfortable and relaxing place in a low-key residential neighborhood. It's about 20-30 minutes from the centre of Berlin by metro (two stations are nearby, though Seestrasse is probably most useful) and the last part on foot. I enjoyed the local vibe of the neighborhood around the hotel which was a nice contrast to the more austere and touristy atmosphere of the central city. The staff I met here were all incredibly friendly and helpful, and the courtyard looks like a lovely place to relax in warmer weather. As this was my first time in Berlin I was out a lot, but I could easily have spent way more time lounging around in the bar and courtyard in the hotel. Hopefully another time soon...

To all solo travellers - this hotel is definitely for you. It was my first ever visit to Berlin and I was glad to stay in this particular hotel. I had my own room with a private bathroom. The district is quiet, did not have any noisy neighbours. It was clean and the metro is quite near. There are a lot of small places to eat, a bit park next ot the hotel. There is no elivator in the hotel, so the name "Steps" gives you a hint to walk up and down the steps of the hotel. Great hotel for a good price. Staff is was very helpful and polite - thanks guys!

Friendly staff, no problems with booking and arrival, even though it was late at night. Room, though simple and not exactly brand new furbished, was really absolutely fine and roomy. Everything was in good condition. Very good and new bathroom! The room to the backyard was very quiet. I guess it's the best you can get for the price in Berlin. I have no complaints.

Not far away from the bustle of Berlin's hip districts, Steps-Hotel offers you a nice and simple sleep with affordable prices. The breakfast is quite a good one, the lobby has a decent enough bar and the staff is more than welcoming. Overall a good place for a few nights in Berlin.

The location of the hotel is not the most ideal one. Whatever the mode of transport you choose, it takes about 10-15 minutes of walking to get to the nearest, most convenient tram or underground station.

Very good value for the money! Nothing fancy, but really practical and basic choice of accommodation. We had a spacious family room with own bathroom on the second floor. Friendly service, parking available nearby for 10€/24h, good WiFi, comfy beds. Even though it was really hot (30-33 degrees during day) the room was comfortable to sleep. Easy access to two metro stations. Also the breakfast for 10€/person was very good :)

Cannot complain about anything, but it would have been nice to have a fridge in the room.
