Hotel on edge of Rhine and seems to be designed rather like the cruise boats that pass by regularly, with river views and balconies. Beds arranged to give same view without getting up! Outside beer garden and dining area next to the river. Good beer. Good food from a wide menu. Good place to sit and watch world go by on the river and rail - a lesson in itself for low carbon transport, with each train or barge taking a score of lorries off the roads. Close to a river ferry to Boppard on west bank.

Only one thing - nylon bed clothes! Not the thing for hot summer nights.

The location of the hotel is amazing! You can see the river right from your window. The room was quite spacious and had a balcony with chairs and a table to enjoy even more picturesque views. It was really easy to find the hotel. It is located not very far from the train station. The variety of restaurants nearby is also rather good. There's also a drugstore, ATM and 2 supermarkets in the village. Keep it in mind that a lot of places here (if not all of them) prefer cash and the ATM might be broken. Anyways, we were able to pay for our with card. The restaurant at the hotel is also worth mentioning. It's good. The portions are generous. I can't but mention that our room was cleaned every single day of our stay. We really appreciated it.

Just a few suggestions for the hotel owners. Even though the bed was quite comfortable, but the pillows were a nightmare. They need to be changed otherwise it's impossible to sleep. Towels are synthetic and barely absorb any moisture. That rubber stripe at the bottom of our shower cabin door was partially absent, so our bathroom was constantly flooded (I want to thank our room keeper once again here. She took her time and cleaned these floods all the time). It would also be so nice to have a small kettle in the room (especially for people who travel with babies or toddlers). However, all the aforementioned negative sides didn't matter that much because of the location, view and friendly staff

Sometimes the breakfast cereals were not replenished and twice the coffee in the flask was only just warm.As the temperature dropped the room was chilly and the heat not put on until other German guests complained.

Great hotel on the banks of the River Rhine, my room had a balcony over looking the Rhine which was very peaceful watching the boat go past. The room was very clean and very comfortable bed. Hotel staff were fantastic and went over and above their duties. Food at the hotel is also very good and traditional. Plenty of parking outside, in a very nice little village.

I wish I stayed longer!
