Approx ten mins from the centre of Cologne, close to a number of bars, restaurants and shops (Em Kolsche Boor is excellent for food and drink, and is a short walk away). The staff are pleasant and friendly and the dining area and courtyard are really lovely.

At the time of writing, the adjacent property is a building site, and this means that you are woken to the sounds of construction at around 7am daily. This is obviously somewhat dependant on the room you are allocated, and is not something the hotel has any control over (just something to be aware of).

Friendly staff, beautiful views from hotel windows, nice breakfast spread, good central location!

- bathroom only had hand wash, body lotion and shampoo. This is a strange thing as all hotels nowadays provide a shower gel and hair conditioner also. Just strange having to use hand wash instead of shower gel & not having conditioner leaves hair super frizzy! - considering not the whole room is carpeted, it is strange slippers are not provided -lastly, we stayed 3 nights and our room has not been cleaned even one time during this time! Which is really very odd. Most hotels of this standard offer daily cleaning in my experience…

The staff were great, so welcoming and super helpful with directing us around the city and things to see, where we could catch boats or where local flohmarkts were being held. They also let us store our luggage before and after checkout. We knew about the construction site prior to our stay so that wasn't an issue for us and we enjoyed seeing how they worked. Beautiful courtyard, would love to see the hotel in summer. Great location close enough to the city, within walking distance and lots of nice suburbs to explore too.

Room was a little unclean. Broken plug in bath which was a bit sharp. Also the step out of the bath to the bathroom floor was very extreme in height, would definitely be an issue for olders guests and could lead to accidents, it caught us both off guard as the difference in levels isn't usually as big as this.

The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and airy on the third floor with a view of the cathedral. The bed was easily big enough and comfy, bathroom was clean and tidy with face/hand wash, moisturiser and body/hair wash. There was also a hairdryer. The location was very convenient, about a 10/15 minute walk from Koln Hbf the main station. Which was easy to get to from the airport on the Sbahn. We didn't have the breakfast and instead went to some of the local bakeries and cafes. The construction site didn't bother us as it was on the opposite side of the building so we couldn't hear any disturbance. Easy connections to get to Phantasialand as well which was great for us, we took the train then there is a bus to the themepark which is four euros cash.

Although the food in the restaurant was lovely, the service was rather on the slow side so if you are in a hurry it might not be the right option. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff though.

We loved the location which was walking distance to lots of restaurants and sights. It was also nice that there were not many tourists around the hotel. The hotel was about a couple of blocks from the main street. The room was very spacious with a very comfortable bed and good air conditioning. We also liked the garden view outside our window. The ivy covered walls and greenery was a welcome sight. The elevator afforded a view of the garden which was a nice touch

The one thing I would like to see a change is the bathtub/shower combo. One had to take a quite high step to get into the tub. This could be a problem for people with mobility and balance issues. I would suggest putting grab bars in strategic locations by the tub so those who have the issues mentioned above could lift themselves into the tub with minimal help from others. There was only one elevator.

Cute hotel on the inside, modern interior with climate controls. The bathroom had good conveniences.

Pretty clean but the sheets were a little stained and there were several hairs in our bed when we arrived. There was a lot of construction outside our window, I thought we'd paid enough to have a balcony with a nicer view; I suppose I would've expected something of a discount with the amount of inconvenient and at times loud construction outside our window. Otherwise, the hotel itself was very cute and staff was friendly, if not a little reserved and keeping to themselves unless approached.

It was a very nice and spacious room, or indeed suite. The breakfasts were excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely like to go there again.

Very small things. The furniture was a bit too minimal with not quite enough places to put and hang things. I think a woman would particularly find this in the bathroom, and she might want a mirror in the bedroom. It was slightly further from the centre than I expected. I had a bad leg which probably made me more aware of this than I would usually be. On the other hand it is in a quiet part of the city. Although it is advertised as having a restaurant it did not seem to be open for dinner.

The location is excellent. Just a 10-minute walk to the train station and the Cathedral just beyond it. In the other direction, it's barely 10 minutes to walk down to the river and the Hohenzollern Bridge. I felt safe at all times.

On my first morning in the hotel, the staff member in the dining room asked me to pay 20 Euros for breakfast, without checking the register. I had already paid ('inklusive') as part of my room booking, but didn't quite understand, due to my shaky grasp of German. So I paid an extra 20 Euros... that was an expensive breakfast. The AC in my room never really made the room cool, even when I turned it up all the way. The air felt damp and stuffy, like being on Deutsche Bahn during a heat wave. (The temperatures were in the high 80s Farenheit the first couple days I was there, so perhaps the AC isn't meant for those high temperatures.) On the third day it was much cooler, so I opened my windows and everything was fine.

Room is really good, has everything needed (some coffee, tea and a bottle of water were provided). Bed is big and comfy, there is a safe, a big wardrobe, a TV and a table, I used that for working, Wifi is really great, I had a small balcony to the innehof, so lighting and airing were no problem, room had already an AC. The bathroom is great, small and has everything needed. Location is great, very close to the public transport, supermarket is a few hundred meters away, river as well. There is an excellent small coffee place close by (Kaffeebar Presswerk), very recommended to pass by and try the coffee there. If not, the bar/restaurant in the hotel has good coffee as well, but not in the standard of the small coffee place close by, that coffee was the best I've had.

No strong noise cancellation, obviously it's not a newly built building.

The hotel's location was exceptionally convenient, just a 3-4 minute walk from both the central train station and the city's main church, the magnificent Cologne Cathedral. The room was immaculately clean, offering a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The bathroom was equally impressive, featuring a stylish design and a delightful little bathtub, perfect for a relaxing soak after a day of sightseeing.

While our stay was enjoyable, there were a couple of minor issues. Firstly, the hotel did not provide slippers for the room, which would have added an extra touch of comfort. Additionally, despite the promise on the website, there was no option for self check-in and check-out, which was a bit inconvenient.
