The staff was nice and super friendly. They responded quickly when I texted them on Booking before arriving. The breakfasts were also good. The room was clean and bright. WiFi speed was more than enough. I was afraid of having issues with the app because I was coming late at night. However, the app served flawlessly throughout my stay. I was using it for entering purposes only. I hadn't used the access card even once.

The app logs you out very frequently, a couple of times a day. You always need to have the confirmation number somewhere close to copy and paste because it's required to open the doors. It would be perfect if the logs out were reduced.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the train station. Don't exit on the Cathedral side, exit on the other side (by McDonalds), cross the square, go over a zebra crossing and walk down Johanestrasse and you are there. Online check in worked well and we were able to access the hotel using a code and then our room keys were at the front desk. Our room was a good size, very clean and comfortable with a large bathroom with a good shower. We slept really well, the room was very quiet. Breakfast in the morning was buffet style with fresh fruit, yoghurt, cheese, cold meats, boiled and scrambled eggs and pastries and bread. They made gluten free toast for me everyday. To drink you can have fresh juices and freshly made teas and coffee and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is no bar or daytime restaurant on site but there are two excellent restaurants and an ice cream parlour on the corner. The location is excellent, a short walk to the Cathedral or if you turn left out of the hotel and then left again and walk along the river the cable car is a 10-15 minute walk that takes you over to the spa on the other side of the river. Would stay here again, it is very good value for money with lovely staff.

A safe in the room would be a bonus.

We arrived early and were able to leave our suitcases at the hotel until our room was ready. The staff were very friendly, the hotel was very clean. The room was spacious with a lovely comfortable large double bed. The bathroom was spacious with a lovely shower and hair dryer. You could have air conditioning or fan. The hotel was within walking distance from the train station and there were cafes and restaurants nearby. The room was quiet and there was a great choice for breakfast.

There were no tea/ coffee making facilities but there was a mini bar in the room with alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.

Well appointed room which is perfect for a short stay. It is very close to the city centre and train station. the room was very spacious. The bathroom had a decent shower

It would have been even better if the room had had tea/coffee making facilities. The hairdryer had no power to dry hair. THe hanging rail is short in length and limited. If you were staying longer than a weekend you may be living out of your suitcase as there were no draws for unpacking

Great staff and good location. Room was good too..allowed me to keep bag after checkout and staff were very friendly and cooperative.

There is no front desk after 3 pm at least when i was there. Thankfully didn't need anything essential but good for fellow travelers to take note.

Very spacious room. Near to the station but on the quiet side. Good soundproofing. I asked for extra towels and kettle to be provided, they were put in my room.

-Front desk only work until 3pm. After that, you are left on your own, no retrieval of stored luggage after 3, no hotel staff after that . Anything extra you need has to been arranged beforehand in case you check in after 3. You can use your mobile to open the main door, make sure your phone is working. -No coffee and tea in the room

good breakfast - comfy bed - air con worked well - shower excellent - area is pretty central but still relatively quiet and the double glazing was particularly effective at cutting out any random street noise

the closing mechanism of the entrance door is poor and so slams rather than closes. This was unfortunate for me as my bedroom (room 12) was located above the entrance hall. Having said that, for the 3 nights i stayed only a few of the residents came back late so my sleep was not too badly affected. If i stayed again however i would insist on another room.

Helpful, friendly staff. Practical location, especially if you are arriving/departing via train at the Hauptbahnhof. Breakfast was excellent, and includes an espresso drink, in a nice first floor café-like dining room. Quirky, well-appointed rooms in an older building. Very cozy!

Not much really- but it’s worth noting that the reception has limited hours. This is a great place for the more experienced, independent traveler.

A very convenient hotel, close to the Hbf but on the other side away from the downtown. Short walk to Hbf, Dom etc. Superb breakfast. I had a great room, maybe I got upgraded as it was the largest I stayed in in Europe this trip by a long way. Comfortable bed, staff were pleasant and helpful.

Opening the door with my phone took a little while - not sure why but it took ages to load. So better if you arrive before 3pm while there is someone around if you don't like this technology! Very clever, maybe too much!!! I couldn't find the email with a door access code which I think was also provided. This was because I received 15-20 emails for a one night stay, in a mixture if German and English; that was a little nuts (and didn't help me find the door code at all)

The location, breakfast, room size, staff were all fantastic. Perfect location with close walking distance to the train station, waterfront, shops, restaurants and Christmas Markets.

This hotel was great however the bed was extremely uncomfortable to the point of waking up very sore in the morning. Other than that, this hotel is great
