we have traveled all over Europe for 20 years this is the BEST hotel we have ever stayed at. We reserved a JR suite but got upgraded to a full suite (no charge) was awesome. Big 2 full rooms (huge) awesome bathroom fresh flowers all over room and hotel. The price included a breakfast that had made to order eggs but started with coffee basket of rolls a 3 tier of cheese meats and lox. All brought to your table by very nice waiters. The stored our luggage as we got there a little early. It is about 2 blocks from subway and maybe 1/2 mile from Marienplatz

sweet rolls at breakfast (lol) absolutely nothing

The location was very good, on a quiet street, just minutes from a U-Bahn stop and a tram, making it easy to get anywhere in the city. Had a neighborhood feel to it, with a number of small cafes and businesses right down the street. Common areas in hotel were pleasant, especially breakfast area.

The bed was a bit hard. The room needs updating; the fabric on the chairs was frayed and the curtains torn (because very hard to pull shut). The TV screen located IN THE MIRROR (!) is a terrible "innovation," with unavoidable glare and reflection. But I wasn't here to watch TV.

An amazing hotel, every detail is thought through. On arrival we were offered mulled wine and biscuits, a lovely touch as was very cold outside! The room was beautiful, had everything you needed, including a bottle of water, was comfortable and spotless. The breakfast was absolutely amazing as were the staff, very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The location is great a very short walk to the centre of Munich and within the vicinity some nice bars and restaurants. The tube station is very close too!

It was perfect!

Breakfast was outstanding, the service was thorough, thoughtful and friendly. The eating outdoors was pleasant in warm weather (but oh for the bees!!) The hotel’s location is excellent for the traveller, close to the U-Bahn, tram and plenty of eating options. Importantly, it was quiet, so sleep not a problem (a fan unit was provided for the room in the absence of AC) with no discernible through traffic. Throughly recommend Hotel Opera.

The Hotel Opera was well located in the older section of Munich on a quiet, safe street. it was very accessible to restaurants and to the shopping area which included a number of beer halls and gardens. Walking to the English Garden was also quite easy. The staff was great, especially Chris. Breakfast was served in a private courtyard. We had eight in our group and the table was set for eight every morning. The rooms were small (as expected) but very clean. I’d definitely stay there again.

Nothing.

Breakfast: nicely served, tasty, freshly prepared eggs, nice bread/bakery selection, good coffee; my personal request was fulfilled. Room: very beautiful and in taste! Attention to detail in all the decorations. Very clean. Very confortable bed. Clean and fine bed sheets. Location: very central, close to public transportation (U-bahn station within a few minutes walk); museums, parks, restaurants and cafes, foreign embassies and consulates within walking distance. WiFi: unusually good connection for a hotel. I travelled for work purposes, so I really appreciated the fast connection. Staff: very pleasant. After my check-out at 11:00 am, I spent a few hours in the lobby and I was very happy to receive fresh coffee and water free of charge.

Breakfast: a wider selection of vegetarian dishes would be nice. Maybe guests could be asked beforehand whether breakfast meat (salami, ham, etc.) should be served at all to them. Breakfast is, so far, truly tailored for non-vegetarians. A vegan guest would not have had any chance for a proper breakfast. Room: Towels looked a bit worn out. They were, of course, clean. But I think new towels should be purchased by the hotel.

The room and enclosed balcony were gorgeous and super unique! Perfect for pictures and everything was cozy. I wasn't excepting the décor and it was such a cute surprise. Also, the breakfast isn't centennial! It was more like morning tea time. I felt terrible for showing up in pajamas when I should've been well dressed. However, it's super quiet and a was an amazing start to my day!

It's pricey but after staying I understand why. The room was tight with a large bed. I'm not sure if multiple people would enjoy the room I had unless you're okay with being on top of each other. But since it was only me I was more than okay with forsaking floor space for a big mattress.

The hotel room was great. We had a junior suite which was beautiful. The quality of products and food at breakfast was lovely. Maggie the receptionist was awesome and we felt really special at her exceptional service. She is an asset to that hotel. We had a lovely stay and the location was awesome in a quiet part of town but still very close to everything.

The efficiency at breakfast time. The staff were chaotic, could not understand English and kept forgetting everything. They seemed very stressed and the system just did not work properly. We understand that there were lots of new staff members but some changes with serving at breakfast time are needed. The food was delicious though and most of them really tried hard.

Everyone was very attentive. Our room was very nice ,the location ideal to our purpose and the breakfast was great .So much so that we generally did not need lunch. If ever I return to Munich I will stay at Hotel Opera again.

Does not have hvac. Was not a problem for us but might get warm later in summer. This is typical for this part of the world. Still a 10 for us!
