Really delicious breakfast buffet - not the largest, but the quality was super. Nice breakfast room, quickly attended to by the staff. The swimming pool is large, clean, and nicely organized for towels (available, no hassle). Good, small sized work out room and two clean and super hot saunas. Friendly check in. Friendly bar service, decent food. Room was clean and spacious, as we booked a superior double room....was worth the extra. Coffee / 1 beer / 1 wine / nuts / 2 bottles of water, and 2x juice included. Parking was a very reasonable 6 euros per day. We had a car, but there is a bus stop at the end of the parking lot. Nothing was a hassle....everything went smoothly.

One of the least glamorous hotels we ever stayed, but one of the most comfortable. We especially enjoyed the suite room with our two kids. Very practical and cosy. Remarkable architectonic setup with corridors like an airport. Quite memorable. The main highlight for this family with kids was the swimming pool and for the parents the sauna. Quite nice facilities. We had a good time. Breakfast was fine, no special items, but pleasant anyway.

The location is not so exciting. It always takes a car to get somewhere, especially in winter. But the price for parking was very reasonable. We also stayed in two double rooms. Here the shower head was a bit loose and need some upgrading. But still workable.

Very big place, localisation.

I expected more from room..I paid extra money to get a bigger room with a bath and after all I got totally opposite. Big hotel with potential. I wanted one big bed not to small beds together like a one, bath cabine was hard to close. You can hear voices from other rooms. Someone should change the menu in the breakfast buffet. As a 4-star hotel, I totally expected more.

The rooms are clean and cozy, continental breakfast had a lot to choose from. The hotel is very near the bus stop and just 2 stops from the Essen Messe and the U-bhan for the city centre.

The bathroom was a little outdated, but clean and warm. In the rooms was a little bit too cold for the winter.

the swimming pool and the sauna is nice and if you do not arrive too late it is nice to take a drink in the bar.

Breakfast was rather busy, with many guests crowding to catch their food, and it took a while to get seated. However, the staff tried the best to serve everyone.

We travel for a business trip so we had rent a car, hotel has many parking which was very comfort for our needs, breakfast was enough for my needs, it is a nice and quite hotel for business trip also staff is very friendly and helpful. Very clean hotel.

Beds are not very comfortable it seems that is old enough, nothing more.

24/7 check-in and very nice clean rooms / bathroom for asking price. Parking. Near to highway but also far enough. Friendly staff. Would visit again.

The breakfast was ok, but if I had to pick a weakest point it would be the breakfast. The breakfast offered was "ok", however I expected a bit more from the breakfast (but perhaps I'm just spoiled).

the hotel has a very nice traditional charm to it. all furniture and facilities were in very good condition. staff was very friendly and helpful. sauna and spa were very nice.

the first room we received had a strong unpleasant smell to it. after calling reception about it, they immediately placed us in a different room which was completely fine. pool was little too cold to enjoy it for a long period time.

The hotel has everything you need for a couple of nights in the Ruhr area: sauna, swimming pool, restaurant with funny waitress are extras. Breakfast was OK (although we have experienced better in Germany). Also served gluten free bred.

No personnel in the wellness area.

nice pool on site. great taxi service for us all as there was nearly always a taxi parked up waiting. Very Quiet and still to sleep in.

Not able to get coffees and teas after breakfast until the bar opened at 12 mid day.
